Wandered into this store to look for some nice carpets for my garden but on my way in I saw a member of staff glaring at me from the other end of the shop. He smiled and lifted his arms up in the air and began to run towards me like an eagle with its wings stretched out, swooping down to catch its prey. I gasped in horror as he knocked me to the ground while laughing. I was shocked by what just happened, 'why did you do that?' I asked, trying to remain calm and polite. 'Did you not read the sign on the way in, mate?', he replied confidently, 'this is Get Floored, we run a very specific business where people come in, we floor them to the ground and they pay us to do it. New customers get their first one for free'. I was about to ask to speak to the manager when another customer came in. Out of nowhere another member of staff ran at the elderly man and floored him to the ground. The man looked like he broke his arm but he just got up laughing, 'that was great dennis!' The customer said sounding pleased, 'here's £20 for your service!'. He handed over a £20 note and left holding his broken arm, smiling. 'This is totally absurd!' I exclaimed and I left the shop feeling hurt and confused. I've given 3 stars because although the nature of the business is easily misinterpreted, they do offer a very original and unique service, which is done on a very proffessional level. read more
