Parents can sit upstairs in the bleachers and watch. They also do parties here where kids can do gymnastics for an hour and then go upstairs to the party room. This summer 2023 I decided to spend some time to explore pottery making. I chose this studio…read morebecause I wanted to try out pottery making first with a one day experience ( use the wheel with their expert guidance, create a finished piece and paint the piece). I loved my process during the one day wheel experience and decided to take their 4 week wheel classes. I mostly learned from their staff Danielle and she was an excellent teacher! One day wheel experience - $48 per person - perfect friend hangout or date activity! - make 1 piece on the wheel with expert staff guidance with options to make 1 more piece on your own - paint your piece with engobes paint and pick up your piece after a few weeks! 4 week classes - $200 total- such a good deal! Weekly 1 hr classes that includes all supplies, glazes and firing - make atleast 2 pieces depending on how your skills progress throughout the classes. I made 6 pieces but only took home 4! - I was a beginner so Danielle focused on throwing cylinders. However I wish there could be more variety in throwing different shapes- like a bowl - I learned so much from each class from wedging clay, centering, making even walls, trimming, making and attaching handles I loved my experience here and I'll be back to utilize their studio space for wheel throwing as well as glaze some of their premade pieces

We got to choose between a mug, bowl, or plate but you can modify the exact shape or depth and they help you do that! We were there for about two hours and it was plenty of time to make our pottery and paint. My daughter attended one day at this preschool, and while she did like it and seemed to be well cared for, my issue is with the complete lack of security and seeming protocols this school has. The doors to the building are not locked as there is no separate entrance for the school. During drop off EVERYTHING is wide open and there is no security about who is coming in and out at all. We dropped our daughter off and were loosely told to sign her in and out. We were not shown where to sign a name or anything, or shown anything at all. There was just a place for the time. I put the time and my husband and I left. My husband went alone to pick up our daughter, I have two other children, and he was able to pick her up without 1. Signing her out 2. Saying who he was. He basically walked in, the teacher told him what her day was like and he took her home, ON THE FIRST DAY! They didn't know who he was? What if we had a custody agreement and her father wasn't supposed to be picking her up? To say the least I was alarmed. I called Christine and explained my concerns to her and got response like "well it was the first day" and "well the teachers know the parents from orientation". Just a note, we were not at orientation because my daughter was very ill that day, so they didn't know us at all. By the end of the conversation I told her I thought there practices were out of date and that I'd like a refund. She said she's "never experienced anything like this before" and I would get a refund by the end of the month. I also received an email with individual pictures of every child in the class. Not group pictures, not pictures of just my child, but a mass email of individual pictures to all parents. When I brought this up to Christine she said "well they're not on social media." Well they might as well be because I do not know any of those parents in the class and I did not remember signing a waiver, and even if I did, are you just too lazy to send the three pictures of each child to each parent? To say the least I am appalled at the lack of security in protecting my child and then the unapologetic reactions to my concerns. Times have changed and protocols should be updated.

Throughout her short time there, I often picked her up dirty (with dried boogers), her notebook and bag were messy with food, and daily updates were just generic notes with no personalized feedback. Incidents like her falling in the yard or another incident of another child throwing sand at her were never communicated -- I only learned about them from my daughter telling me directly. I emailed the director each time, but nothing improved. Despite leaving due to these concerns, A deduction of 25% was taken out of the security deposit they require and was still charged for two remaining days of the week she did not attend to due to these events. Parents deserve a safe, clean, and caring environment, and unfortunately this daycare did not provide that.
