This was not a Yelp event but a SPACES event. I attended on a Friday night with my friend and former roommate. SPACES is a venue located west of downtown Cleveland where works of art are displayed just as you would find in an art gallery but they also have events throughout the year. The show I attended was very different for me and my first time experiencing this type of art form. Some people may find interpretive dance strange but if you come with an open mind then you will enjoy it or at least leave experiencing something different. I will rate my experience 4.5/5. I misread the program pamphlet but I later found out that 2 different artists were performing at the same time so attendees could select who they wanted to watch. I didn't know this at first so I did miss one performance (by an artist named Robert) which is fine. The performances were actually repeated for people who showed up later to the evening (there was a 2 hour window to walk around and watch the performances). It is hard to explain this show but you can take a look at my posted videos for further details. My favourite piece was the woman who performed a movement dance detailing her feelings with the local media. She had newspapers lined up on the floor and at one point started laughing and crying to express her feelings. Many of the other dancers like her had amazing balance, core strength, and flexibility. They were all very talented in their own unique way. Here is the official dance show description - "Six local choreographers converge to create movement poetry in a vivid portrayal of modern art. View original works from diverse perspectives and watch art literally come to life." I recommend visiting SPACES on a weeknight or weekend. It is a fun environment and encourages you to open up your artistic side if you aren't normally inclined to do so. I will definitely have to come back here to explore more of the featured art on the walls. All of the dancers are clearly extremely talented. Some of dancers core strength was amazing. My personal favorite dancer was Robert. His performance was simply beautiful. The facility itself was actually a very great space and it's in a great location in Hingetown which I enjoyed. It's very versatile space and I can see them being able to do plenty of things here. I enjoyed my first visit to Doki Doki Kawaii Shop in early May 2026. A friend had invited me a few hours before she was heading out there so I gladly met her there. The shop has plenty of Asian inspired things. I saw a bunch of manga comic books, Pokémon items, Japanese stationery items (notebooks, highlighters, pens, etc), plushy toys, keychains, etc. I bought a cute 100-day notebook that was light green on the outside. It can be used as a planner or a diary. I can't wait to delve into it and maybe use it to track a goal or two for 2026. The store employee was friendly when I walked in and answered some questions that I had. I wish they sold more stationery items. They had a limited supply of planners and notebooks of different varieties. Most crystal shops tend to be located out in the suburbs or farther out. The Rock Shop is located inside the same building as The Studio Cleveland and metered street parking is available outside. Given the nature of this less busy street, it's actually not super difficult to find a street spot, especially if you come during a non-peak time (think not Saturday afternoon in the city). The inside is a gorgeous, thoughtfully curated emporium of absolutely beautiful stones, jewelry, home decor, apparel, books and more. The minute you walk in, you are overcome with feelings of beauty and relaxation. If you're new to the metaphysical world, particularly crystals, know that there are a lot of fake products out there or unethically sourced items. Owner Sara takes so much pride in ensuring the quality and origins of her items and she (as well as her staff) are extremely knowledgeable about everything they sell. I was taking a yoga class at nearby Puma Yoga when I randomly noticed Lakewood Art Studios and decided to wander in. What a pleasant, pleasant surprise. Lakewood Art Studios is an artist collective, education and event space in Lakewood. I'm spitballing from memory, but they feature maybe 30+ local artists. Think the most unique pieces of jewelry, art, greeting cards, ceramics and other odds and ends thoughtfully curated in a gallery. You constantly have things to explore and no two things are the same. For me, buying handmade local artisan goods is my weak spot. Seriously, take all my money now. They also offer a variety of classes ranging from photography to portrait drawing and a comic book club, all held in the small classrooms in the back of the shop. This is a pretty special place. I was in a bit of a rush when I visited, but I am already planning to go back out to Lakewood to specially spend more time in Lakewood Art Studios appreciating all the one-of-a-kind pieces. AMBIANCE/INVENTORY: The store reminds me of visiting an estate sale, peeking at various corners for treasure. The store is well staged with pockets of goods. There is ample space to wander around. In terms of inventory, it is in pristine condition. Almost to the extent that you feel like you're buying something new. Forget funky smells or imperfections, you won't find them here. Prices vary but remain very reasonable. Items are quite unique - brooches, clothes, trays for entertaining, clutches, home decor, furs, art, and so much more. A lot of the art has a theme of music. Stained glass guitars, saxophones, musical quotes and much more. As a music lover, I enjoy looking at visual art that represents instruments, but I usually have to search really hard to find it in a collection. Yet this gallery is truly specialized. The prices are reasonable and there is quite a large range, so whether you want a souvenir from Cleveland (like I did) or a centerpiece of art for your home then this is the place to go. The owner also provides an option to get custom work made at the shop AND he does repairs for crystal art. I was not in the buying mood when I walked into this shop. In fact, I just wanted to see some free art. I ended up buying a beautiful coaster for $14, but if I lived closer and wasn't on a road trip then I would definitely buy a stained glass piece to display at home.
