I had the drip coffee (excellent) and watched as the barista prepared instagram-worthy espresso-based beverages for the customers before me. I took home a bag of their in-shop roasted coffee ("Cardinal", a medium-dark-roast Mexican bean) and was delighted with the flavour, clarity, and sweetness. To be honest, I couldn't tell the difference between the two. I was a little disappointed with the butter tarts when I picked them up. Some looked burnt and they were all cold. I picked up the box of butter tarts at 10am, so it was just an hour after the bakery opened. I was disappointed when I bit into the first tart. The filling was extremely sticky and congealed and stuck to the roof of my mouth. It wasn't the gooey soft filling that I was expecting.

Hard to miss, for it has one corner of a major junction (High St and Hwy 21) claimed as you roll into town in your four wheeled beast. The prices for grub is on par with many similar places in Toronto, alongside some decent easygoing beers. I had a burger ($16.00!) to suit, just as decent. Salad was nothing special but the service was on top. A decent casual place to eat and smash drinks if you ever find yourself in Southampton.

Both great, but don't come with anything. I also ordered a blueberry bar dessert and it was great. The lavender lemondade was a miss. Just yellow water.
