the gist: #1 - Do the tour. #2 - Come hungry!…read more the whole enchilada: My boyfriend and I did the Tijuana Bites tour with Chris. To start, booking the tour online was seamless. They also have a very helpful chat function on the BTK website where I was able to ask questions before booking. Leading up to the tour, Chris was easy to communicate with via email. He sent us info on the tour and very helpful directions for the day of. Throughout the tour, Chris shared cool history about the food and navigated us through the market to the tastiest tamales, tacos and tortas. We finished the tour with happy taste buds, full bellies and in awe of Tijuana's vibrant food scene. We'll definitely be back!

Chris is highly knowledgable and organized. He is also well connected in the community so you get access to wineries and owners that you would otherwise not have. He is generous with his expertise and provides an impressive educational experience. The BTK experience is great for anyone...a first time visitor or someone who knows wine and the valley because Chris personalizes the experience. We took the all-day tour that included lunch for $179 and it was worth every cent. We took ourselves on an excursion the next day and definitely felt Chris's absence as we got lost several times and were limited in what we could do and what we could learn from the experience. I look forward to booking our next trip.

The van was fully decorated, and champagne served and music on. Our first stop Maurice Carie, Tasted wines, enjoyed a great live band, charcuterie, and a fabulous pastry, baked Brie. Eddie showed us the Barrel Room and shared some information about the barrels. Our next step was Lorimar winery, we enjoyed wine, live music, the outdoor patio was packed with people having a great time. The air was chilly, but they had heaters for comfort. They served a buffet meal which was quite delicious and generous! Our server at Lorimar made herself available for anything we needed. Eddie, our driver even fetched our sweaters when we needed them. This was event first class, fun, and no hassle. We all had a great time! The only challenge, which is typical at public events, long bathroom line for the women at Lorimar. This place was rockin' and with music and dancing!

The pricing was super reasonable for the amount of travel time and top-tier service we received, and we felt completely safe the entire time in Baja. The wineries were beautiful, the food was amazing, and the whole day was seamless thanks to our driver Daniel -- if you book, definitely request him! I 1000% recommend Baja Winery Tours we're already planning our next one!

To the owner who wrote me back in regards to my review I did read the website and check my sources…read morebefore reserving to go on your tour. On your website it indicates, 6 PERSON MINIMUM! Tour runs after we get a total of 6 signups. However what I was referring to was the email I received which stated " You're reservation for Public Taste of Baja Tour on Saturday, July 1, 2023 for 2 tickets has been cancelled. If you have any questions feel free to call 619-535-9994 or email bookings@bajawinerytours.com." Before assuming your customers are not reading the information on your business site, make sure you take the time to ask questions to understand exactly what they are referring to. The condescending annotation in your reply is another reason why I would never go on this tour. Edit: you could have said what you updated your message with in the beginning rather than making it seem as if your customers did not read the information that was given on your site. All explanations would have been cleared up then, however you wanted to come and try to reiterate the message as if their was a lack of clarity.

I couldn't be happier supporting such a cozy and community oriented business…read more My partner visited the evening before with his buddy for happy hour. He brought me back and they immediately remembered him and addressed him by his name. The menu was amazing. We curated our own tasting experience, had wine pairings and tried some of their cocktails too! Vidal - our server was instrumental to our elevated dining experience. We met the head chef Anthony and one of the owners Lisa. Everything was exceptional in taste. I can't wait to bring a friend or two to try more menu items. We signed up for the wine membership too, bc it just made sense.

SERVICE Service was initially good and got much slower as tables filled. FOOD 5/5 Oysters Rockefeller ($10/2 @happy hour) Spinach, Butter, Cream, Lemon Juice, Breadcrumbs - delicious, small, pricy 3.5/5 PRIME RIB ($49/10 oz) At this price tag, cutting the prime rib to 1/2" thickness is a crime as the tenderness, fat marbling, and juiciness suffered. The edges were seasoned well, although the crispy cap was sparse. Au Jus: provides meat juice, but it does not replace for what should be a juicy/fat-marbled, tender prime rib Horseradish: saves the dish - it's lemon forward, pungent, and has a cold, creamy, thick texture. Mashed potato: watered down Veggies: scant, overcooked except the carrot PARKING There are plenty of compact spaces with two ADA spaces entrance adjacent.
