I was afraid I was going to have to leave my Toyota Highlander up there but they were able to replace a fuse for the OBD port, get a diagnosis and replace a bad ignition coil for one of the cylinders. Daniella was very pleasant to speak with on the phone. Grayson at the desk was also reassuring in dropping off the car to at least address the fuse to get an OBD diagnosis. Huge props for these guys for getting me in and out in a few hours during the in-between holiday period. I was able to drive car back to SF without issue.

Over four days, they repeatedly cleared the codes, test-drove the car, and rechecked the system. Eventually, they became fairly certain that the problem was related to rodents chewing on the wiring. Reluctantly, they suggested I take it to a Subaru dealership, as a dealership would have the sophisticated equipment needed to pinpoint the root cause. They hesitated to recommend this because they expected the dealership would charge me a ton of money for troubleshooting. Ward and Son's charged me less than $100 for all the troubleshooting they did over four days, which I think is very reasonable. Even though they weren't able to resolve the problem with my car, I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. P.S. They were super friendly people!

What I imagined to be a stressful, time consuming and expensive day turned out to be ok. Joe at O'Reily's on Deerfield recommended Jerry for my battery installation. I don't know a lot about cars but I always thought that battery replacements were simple. I remember the days and cars, where you can just buy a battery at O'Reily's and they could replace it for you on the spot. Well, I learned a lot about cars today. Our Chrysler Pacifica 2018, has 2 batteries and a part over the main battery making it a bit more challenging to replace. I'm not from Truckee so I had no idea where and who was reliable in the area. I am so glad I referred to Jerry! He called me with some surprising news which could've been terrible, but he is experienced and honest and called with a solution. It turned out I need to replace an additional battery. As he was telling me, my mind immediately went to $$$, preparing to call O'Reily's to see if they had the battery, the logistics to go pick up a battery and get it to the shop, wondering if it could all be done before the shopped closed...Well, I didn't have to worry. Jerry had solutions prepared. He had already called O'Reily's to see if they had the additional battery, had the price, and an arrangement to have the battery delivered to his shop. All I needed to do was call Joe at O'Reily's to purchase the battery over the phone. When you are trying to pack, take zoom meetings for work, manage 2 kids, 2 lively pets and your husband is hundreds of miles away with terrible cell phone service and really lack any car repair knowledge, you just want to throw your hands in the air and just hope no one takes advantage of you. I am so grateful to know there are kind, helpful, patient and honest people in this world. My car was jump started at 10:00 am and by 2:00 pm, my car was ready. I got my family packed, made my meetings, walked the dogs, had lunch and made it for ice cream and left Truckee safely with my family. Thank you! P.S. Pricing is honest and in my opinion too low for the level of service and care. Thank you Jerry!

Messed up my tire for the price of $200, highly recommend!! Went in there to get a sensor replaced and gave them the obd2 scan. Because of the sensor problem we had to pull a fuse to stop the problem temporarily. When we brought it in they asked us about which fuse we pulled because they weren't labeled, we told them about the diagram on the fuse box lid, they then told us there was a circuit problem, yes because a fuse was taken out, put it back in we told you where the fuse was tucked away. They then sent us a $2400 quote for brakes. Our brakes are fine. This car stops better than our other one. We told them that was not our problem and we wanted the sensor fixed. We were told our brakes were "cooked" and upon hearing this asked to see them to inspect for fraying, chipping and looking warped. The "cooked" brakes look like brakes that were dirty. Almost like they're in a car. We decided these people aren't competent enough to work on our vehicle and told them we would only pay for the diagnosis, which was $200. Over phone I told the front desk worker that we live on donner summit and leaving during a snow storm would be difficult and dangerous, regardless I had to grab it that day or I would be charged with $75 per day or towing. Upon picking it up we left the lot and only drove about like 2 or 3 miles before we were stopped by chain control saying our car was unsafe to drive, we questioned and he told us to investigate the front passenger tire. After pulling over in a gas station we realize that the tire is completely off the bead, completely unsealed. We called them and asked about it and they claimed "my guys never touched your tires", when before they showed us a picture of our brakes but now they never touched our tires. So either worker at the front knows nothing about his work or they showed us someone else's brakes and recommended us a full brake job. The AI chat bots at a bank are more helpful than this guy. They said they couldn't fix it that day but they can charge us for a tow truck. We refused and got a free tow from our insurance. This problem took 3 hours to fix, which involved a tow to Stone's Country Tire which fixed our tire problem for free and in 15 minutes rather than 3 days.

Never gave us a reason to use the other oil change place across town. This all changed yesterday. As I drove to work after my vehicle's oil change I noticed a weird feeling on the left hand side of my steering wheel. I couldn't quite figure out what I was feeling until I got to my work's parking lot. I got out to find the leather of my steering wheel gashed up. Either cut by a tool or something clipped to an employee's belt. After I finished my work meeting, I called up the shop to let them know the leather of my steering wheel was damaged by who ever was in my vehicle. They told me to come down so they could see it. I immediately drove down to the shop and the front desk guy came out to look at my damaged wheel. After he checked it out he said that there was no way one of their employee's damaged my steering wheel as they are not allowed to bring tools into vehicles and proceeded to say that my steering wheel appeared "aged" and that I was basically a liar. I literally couldn't believe it. I drive this vehicle every single day, these gashes were not there when I dropped off my car at 8:00 AM. As soon as I drove away, I felt the damage on my steering wheel and knew something was off. I looked up what it costs to replace my steering wheel and it's $2,000. Oh! And later that evening, my husband went to inspect my vehicle and found that they either ripped off my wiper fluid cap or did not replace it. So now I'm driving around with a missing wiper fluid cap. I'd think twice before coming to this business. All I wanted was an oil change. Instead my steering got damaged, which will cost me thousands to replace, and got called a liar.
