Received unfortunate news earlier this week that both bakeries will be closing up shop. Their last day in business is this Sunday 03/08/2026 and will close at 1:30pm. She said because it hasn't been busy and the price of everything has gone up. We come to this bakery every other week depending on our schedule. There is usually a line but nothing crazy. Prices are reasonable and I love that it's a local business. There are so many pretzel varieties from stick to bun to a pretzel croissants. I will miss this place, it's been open for at least 10 years. read more

It's like a ... sparely merchandised Bodega style Bakery. And I like it. So lemme set the scene... Been driving past this place since i moved to Vegas in 2019. ya girl always been mad curious about what could be in a German Bakery ???? I had an unnecessary desire to go and find out and I couldn't be more pleased that I did!!! I was getting some shoes repaired over at Quality Shoes about 100 feet away and Id just bought 105 tortillas at Sams Club for the sheer fact that it was cheaper than buying 15 at Smiths but then I was like, this is too many tortillas for one girl to eat annnd ... I need bread to make my breakfast avocado toast. But I only like fresh made bread however I also refused to pay for it cause... fresh bread is expensive and I just bought 105 tortillas for $3.94. But idk, i just wanted to try my luck. So since I was already parked out in front, I decided to go see what it was all about. the outside always looked bland which is how most things in vegas look but even still Id always been curious. Today was the day. I walked in and the worker/cashier had the best cheery attitude and greeted me with an epic smile. POINTS. Now the place ain't fancy or cute by a long shot. You're not gonna get some cool hipster vibe going on either. Like I said... its giving "sparse bodega bakery" I told the cashier/worker That id never been in, and wanted to buy some bread. She was so patient as i interrupted her 34,789 times as she explained the different types of breads and flavors. I woulda asked me to leave. And even after I asked her a million questions I chickened out and end up asking her to pick a half a loaf out for me. Ya girl is NOT good at making choices. - face palm- She picked out a dark brown sourdough bread for me. and explained the flavor profile And I was sold! But then this angel in disguise told me that the same bread was also on sale in the day old section for half off at $3.99 for a WHOLE loaf! Whereas a fresh HALF loaf woulda be technically 4x that, so like. 12 -15 dollars. --- which in my brain is more than I wanna spend on an unknown loaf. So i get to try a whole loaf for a quarter off what a whole loaf cost!?!? Heck yeh!! SCORE. as she got me ready to go, I took a quick look around the store and they had all kinda imported german goodies that I really wanted to ask a million more questions about and buy but i was in a hurry. So alas.... After Id finished my errands for the day, I went home and made some avocado toast (Hipster breakfast) with the loaf I got. BOMB DO COM. It was tasty and chewy and If i hadn't known it was day old, Ida never knew cuz it tasted great And exactly as she had described. And as someone who likes fresh bread without fresh bread prices, i feel satisfied that i can get what I want at a pretty great price from a locally owned business. Wins all around. I've had this place in my bookmarks for quite some time and I've been kicking myself that I haven't been in earlier, enjoying these treats this whole time. Walking in, the two girls working the counter were so nice and friendly. I had to buy some stuff for work and also was buying stuff for my home and I kept apologizing (because I'm an insane millennial who feels the need to apologize all the time, even to every chair, table, etc. I bump into) for ordering so much. One of them was like please stop apologizing, we want you to buy stuff. That almost worked. LOL! The store is laid out really well, with a case of cold stuff right on your left as you walk in. There are shelves of dry goods on the right. Hooray for imported Haribo!!! The baked goods are straight back, cold storage first, then room temp items. If you buy a loaf, they can and will slice it for you. Huge shoutout to the massive almond croissant. My mom was like, "I can't eat this huge thing, I'll have half and save the rest for later." I look over at her about 5 min later and the whole thing is gone. I ask her about saving it and she said it was just too good not to eat the whole thing. Good thing I bought two. This is my favorite Bakery this side of the Mississippi. Been there many times and it never disappoints. Had called in a special order of Berliner's and ended up getting lots of other goodies. They always have wonderful and friendly service. It's not a huge place but there is a lot of variety of baked goods and shelves of german items. They even have a cooler for things like Knockwust, Blood Sausage, or Landjeager. It's like a tiny piece of Germany in Vegas. So many baked options and all are delicious. We haven't yet had a full sized cake, but they do make those to order. Highly recommend. read more

We have visited this bakery each time while on vacation in Las Vegas for the sole purpose of eating one or more rumballs. Prices have escalated over the years from the initial 99 cents to the current $2.25/$2.33, the latter when using a credit card. This was spontaneous, I had a late lunch then I craving cheesecake I wanted something different from the ordinary. I was about to go to a Japanese Bakery but thank goodness Google helped me out it lead me to German Bakery. I called before showing up and they were almost closing but Suzy (owner) waited till arrived very nice of her. She explained German Cheesecake is like Japanese cheesecake with lemon zest . I go here at least once a month for their tasty goodies. I go in for one or two things and walk out with a half dozen. It is all so good. I particularly like the sweet bread with raisins and pretzel rolls are easy to eat in the car on my way home (LOL). Another plus is the authentic German foods they sell. Just stopped in because we were eating at a nearby restaurant, they didn't have much product left but they were closing very soon so that was understandable, what they did have looked amazing and they have many products imported from Germany. We purchased the larger pretzel and it was amazing!! The crust was perfect and yet still soft inside. I will be going back to try some of their other breads. read more

What a great little bakery plus German store. This brings back fond memories of the old school bakeries in the Midwest. The bakery isn't large, but there's a lot to choose from here. There's a refrigerated case with meats and shelves packed with German foods. There are two cases of baked goods like apple strudel and pretzels. I bought some cooked sausages and a jar of sauerkraut that were both much tastier than what I buy at the grocery store. They had a nice selection of jams and I found a delicious cherry jam for my husband's jam collection. The pretzels, chocolate dipped almond horn, and apple strudel were all fresh and delicious. The baked goods were best the day I bought them. The pricing on the grocery items was reasonable. The baked goods pricing was less than I usually pay for baked goods. I'll definitely be back for more treats and German grocery items! read more

I've never been to a German bakery before (nor Germany) so was curious and excited to give this place a try! The apple pie was unique - the top was deliciously glazed and the apple filling wasn't too sweet. It was a nice change of pace from your average American apple pie. The bee sting cake was also something I've never tried or heard of before. After doing a quick google search, it generally is a layered yeast cake with cream and a honey almond topping. This was pretty good! I particularly enjoyed the crunchy almond topping - it reminded me of almond roca or almond toffee. The cake was spongy and the cream was surprisingly tart, which I had to get used to but I think complements the sweet top. Lastly, tried their almond croissant. This was huge! The outside was crisp with a nice glaze, however, the inside was lacking almond flavor for me. Overall, I enjoyed trying these new treats and I look forward to trying more of their breads and pastries! read more

I had went here about a decade ago, tried two items, and wrote them off as I wasn't a fan. They still are in business, so I thought maybe I wasn't giving them a fair shot. I was next door grabbing lunch and was thinking some sweets might be fun to bring home. It's a small shop and the prices are much lower than most bakeries so we bought a bunch of items from their cases. The girl behind the counter was friendly, and packed up our hoard for us. Upon arriving home, my boyfriend and mom tried all the desserts. Their reviews left me almost nervous to try everything. My mom didn't seem to like anything, and my guy only liked a small amount of the many items we bought. When I finally tried everything I was underwhelmed. The chocolate cake was dry and this glop of frosting on top had the weirdest texture like it had to much gelatin. The pudding cake filling my boyfriend said tasted like egg salad filling...he was not totally off it had like mayo taste to it. The black forest cake tasted like old cherries, and I've had much better just down the road. The lemon cake was at least light and fluffy and not to sweet... Dessert should feel like a a reward, and these just fell flat overall for me. I am glad others seem to enjoy what they have to offer, and maybe this was another off day. We saw the sign for this place as we were headed somewhere else for breakfast, and decided to hit it on the way back. My wife's mom was German, so she was excited to see what they had. It was a small store, but it was a gem! We bought four different pastries (an Apple strudel, a Black Forest cake, a chocolate cake, and an almond pastry (shaped like a horseshoe). They were all amazingly delightful! Don't let the modest front of the store, or the simple look of the interior deter you from some authentic German pastries. We showed up on Easter Sunday and were so happy to see it was open. The young woman helping us was very polite and helped us efficiently. The bread, by the way, looked fantastic as well. We were on a motorcycle (passing through on a camping trip), so we did not have the room to try more. We will be back, however, next time we are passing through!. read more

This is my second time popping into this bakery, I must add I only come here when I'm around the area since I live on the west side. It's nothing really special but it's cool to know that there is a German inspired bakery in town. They do have some of their most popular spices and chocolates which is cool so if you are craving a unique German candy, this place might have it. They have a decent selection of German baked goods. However, both times that I've been here we're not the freshest. I've picked up their bread, and that was OK but their baked goods seemed as if they've been sitting around for at least over a day. The almond coffee cake was just a lump of undercooked dough with a slight marzipan filling, I was pretty disappointed. I would recommend only picking up maybe one or two baked goods. The service is pretty standard, I didn't get the greatest service, but I got the items that I wanted, the lady at the counter seemed like she was in a hurry to get to the next customer. For reference, it was myself and two other parties when I walked in, I was second in line. I don't know if I'll come here again, as it's nothing really special or out of the ordinary. read more

I came in about 11:00 am on Monday morning March 31, 2025. The older gentleman had his pastries all in bags and paid for. He continued to have a personal conversation about pest control at his home. He looked at me and ignore me. He kept talking with the German lady behind the register. She looked at me and ignored me and continued to talk with the man. I waited 6 minutes while they talked. Finally I turned and left the store. I can buy pastries at another bakery. I was willing to spend about $20 for pastries. I have never been treated so rudely by an employee. She could have politely stopped the personal conversation and waited on me. Very bad service and no greeting, apology, or acknowledgement. I probably will never come back. read more

What a great little German Bakery and market! We've been here long ago and decided to stop by and get some yummy baked goods. We were so happy to see the addition of some German candies and pantry staples. We picked out a Cherry Strudel and Apple Strudel, $3.45 each, Almond Croissant $3.50, Cinnamon roll $3.50, and a Berlinger with strawberry filling $1.50. All the items were delicious and fresh, but the Berlinger was just ok. We also picked up some real german mustard. So we have been here a few times. The first time was ok as we got just a couple items. Then we went back and purchased $30 of product. Many of the items were ok and some meh. We went back Friday 3/18. We got eight items and spent over $25. We got them home and they were dry and tasted like they were day's old. The Bee cake was the only thing that was moist. The pastry's had cream and it was good but the actual pastry was hard and dry. Were so disappointed after spending over $25 for what we thought were going to be very good. This quaint little place smelled just like a traditional German bakery! We had the most delicious almond croissant - huge and fluffy with toasty/sweet outside! Yum! We also purchased a number of wonderful dry goods imported from Germany. They have a small refrigerated section with drinks and other nice items. The couple of pastries I bought were good. The Brötchen were a little stale, but worked in an oven. The lady working there seemed very stiff and didn't say a word upon entering and therefore seemed rude. For the food I'll go again. SO GOOD!!!! so i tried this spot today and it was amazing! the fresh baked breads are delicious! the service was great too..... my favs: pretzel bun, almond croissant, donut ball, and cinnamon stick they were all so good and tasty!!! they also carry german goods such as chocolates and candy.......the prices are reasonable for the quality , i got a few baked goods in a bag for about $8 was worth every penny!!!! i highly recommend trying this bakery , next time i have to try the fruit tart and almond horn they looked yummy!!!! read more

Really excellent flavor in all of the breads and rolls here. Wonderful dark rye, best I've had in months if not a year! I wish the breads had more of a crust (this is the only reason for 4* instead of 5*), but the flavor really is exceptional. They also keep pretty well for a while, so they're good for taking into the desert. read more

Been meaning to get in here for a while now! And when I walked in the smell sent me to a place I haven't been in a minute! A place where people who just live food and prepare it using the time honored recipes and traditional ways! I used to work in a German Restaurant years ago and I knew right away that we were in for a treat! I was not expecting the plethora of imported items available in the market or the cases of tinned fish, cured meats abs sausages. I bought some of each and then I turned and spied tge Bakery case.
