Dr Gerber is a great dentist for your kids! Super relaxed and willing to explain any questions you might have. He has managed both our kids and thanks to their good work (sealant) we've yet to have a cavity yet! Parents can sit and watch all the cleanings. Kids can watch videos in the waiting room (which is never a long wait) and in their reclined back seats. Office is upstairs in a nice bright and airy setting that puts kids at ease. If you run into any childhood dental emergencies there is never a problem getting ahold of him or one of the other area dentists he rotates with on weekends. Those visits run about $200. Very professional and it's obvious Dr. Gerber cares about doing a great job and kids love him! His 2 hygienists are great and when we bring in both kids for their cleanings they work in tandem to get quickly you in and out. Receptionist does all the billing at the end of each visit and does a great job of scheduling and setting up the next visit. Have never had a cancellation or had to wait very long for an appointment. Leaving Dr. Gerber's office today after their first visit to a dentist, my twins four-year olds said they "loved it." Lots to like about this office. The Disney movie Cars was playing on the TV when we walked in and during the exam/cleaning. Both boys were seen in a large room where the hygienists worked on both at once and I could talk to both. The hygienists took me through a comprehensive list of first-timer stuff like brushing technique, diet, baby teeth timing, emergency care, etc. Their tone with me was friendly and respectful. All the while they chatted happily with my kids. Dr. Gerber has young kids himself, and clearly knows how to relate. He complemented the boys' superhero shoes and dragon tattoos before going to work on their teeth. I only gave four stars since this is based on a single visit. We'll be back. read more

Dr. Gerber rocks. He has a gentle calm demeanor that is great with kids - the office is set up to watch videos. When my son broke one of his permanent teeth (ugh!) Dr. Gerber happily squeezed us in, then waited when we went back to see if we could find the chipped tooth - we found it and he did an amazing job of putting it back in, can't even tell! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Also unlike some other highly rated local dentists, if you get an appt, they'll honor that time etc. They are great! they also work to schedule your kids together, so you only have to manage one slightly longer appt! - - - - - - - - - oh snap - had to go again, what can I say, my son is active. 4 days after having his second child, Dr. Gerber fit us in again. Took the time to make sure the repair job on my son's tooth was perfect. He's truly a nice guy and a great dentist, it's hard to tell the tooth was repaired! read more

Dr. Gerber was highly recommended to us by a friend, and I also recommend him highly. My children have been seeing him for about 3 years, and are now 9 and 11 yrs old. Dr. Gerber and his staff do a great job on the routine cleanings, which is what many children see their pediatric dentist for. My daughter also had a chipped tooth, thanks to a scooter accident, and he did a great job on the composite repair. With the chipped tooth, I had to call for emergency care after hours, and found his service to be very responsive in giving me advice about what steps to take. His billing staff is quick and efficient with insurance claims, too. Dr. Gerber has a wonderful manner with both children and parents (two different skills sets), and we couldn't be happier with the service he provides. read more

Just took my four year old to Dr. Gerber who was recommended by my mothers group. The office was nice and had video monitors in the waiting room and in the exam room. The staff was friendly and explained everything to me and my son. They had nice ways of making my son follow their instructions and feel comfortable with the process. Then they followed up with a letter summarizing the exam. The experience was very positive. Of note, they will allow a younger sibling to tag along to the older sibling's appointment and begin getting to know the staff and surroundings. I didn't rate it five stars because I have only been the one time but so far so good. read more

Our son had a very bad break in his front tooth from a fall when he was very little. At the time, he had not yet been to a dentist for even a regular check-up. I didn't have a pediatric dentist lined up for regular treatment yet, let alone for a traumatic dental emergency. Thankfully, my own dentist referred me to Dr. Gerber. This happened just after hours, but Dr. Gerber had us come in and he saw my son. Since the break was so bad, he determined that our son should go to an oral surgeon, and his office was able to handle the referral and get us in to the oral surgeon right away. All of this was handled with such good care and professionalism. I felt completely comfortable with Dr. Gerber immediately. That incident was years and years ago, and needless to say, my son and soon thereafter my daughter have been regular patients ever since. Dr. Gerber's office is very kid friendly and has a great vibe to it. Dr. Gerber and his assistants have a wonderful chairside manner that really puts the kids at ease. His front office staff is very helpful and friendly. Dr. Gerber is very thorough with his exams and treatments, and always takes the time to answer any questions I have. I highly recommend Dr. Gerber! read more

Dr. Gerber was my children's first experience with a dentist and we have been very pleased. More than three years into taking the kiddos to the dentist, they actually ask me when they GET to go back again. The child-sized dentistry chairs are welcoming to the little ones. TVs for the kiddos to watch during exam and prizes afterwards are a great incentive. The assistants are very gentle and great at communicating with children on a level they understand. They are really great about showing the children each tool they are using and what it does (and they have silly names for the tools). Dr. Gerber takes time to talk, explain, answer questions, etc. He is thorough and reviews previous notes well before engaging with the parent so you never feel like he has no idea who your child is. Only downside (and not worth losing a star over) is that they take full payment upfront, then they will submit the bill to your insurance who will then send you a reimbursement check. In spite of being outside of our provider, after reimbursement by the insurance, we only pay about $12 per exam. Crossing my fingers we won't need fillings or anything due to up-front cost! read more

The entire staff at Dr. Gerber's office are kind, kid-friendly, and helpful. I have been taking my older kids to Dr. Gerber since they were three. On our last visit, it was my youngest daughter's turn for her first cleaning. The hygenist was patient and gentle, and she explained and let my daughter touch every tool she was going to use to help put her at ease. My kids love that: 1) There is always a movie playing in the waiting room and while they get their cleanings 2) They get to choose the flavor of the flouride at the end 3)They get a new toothbrush AND choose a prize after the appointment. In kid terms, this is a fun place! I can't recommend it enough. read more

Paul Gerber is the worst dentist I have ever taken my child to. I was told by him on the phone that he was capable and able to treat children with autism who were reluctant to see the dentist. We went several times and my child was never able to leave the waiting room. I was charged for full visits to chit chat with him about nutrition (not good advise anyhow, I am a registered dietitian) in his waiting room. Also I found that having office assistants with tongue rings disgusting. Kind of like having the cardiologists nurse smoke in front of you. Paul Gerber is not telling the truth if he tells you he knows how to help children with autism. I have other children without autism and we went specifically to Pauls office for this one child. Our other family and pediatric dentist far exceed him in care and professionalism. read more

Dr. Gerber and his new Associate Grace Kwon are fantastic. They both have a very calm, patient demeanor. Dr. Kwon is new to the practice and a great addition. She is very kind and explains the treatment very well. My daughter really liked her and thought she was nice. Great office! read more

Dr. Kwon and her staff are wonderful. They really know how to make kids feel at ease. My son and daugther has been going there since they turned 2, and each time has been a wonderful experience. The office is clean and well maintained. The dental assistant was very nice and great with kids. They have a lot of movies to choose from for the kids to watch during their cleaning. Dr. Kwon was gentle and excellent with my kids. Dr. Kwon was very thorough in explaining everything to me in regards to how to prevent cavities and answered all my questions. We haven't been to other pediatric dental specialists before, so this doesn't come from a lot of experience. However, Dr. Gerber is quite a top notch provider. Friendly, professional atmosphere, books and toys in the waiting area for the kids, and tv screens on the ceiling where the exam takes place which was quite effective in distracting our (then) 4 year old daughter (she is 5 now). They also have a closet full of trinkets that they let the children choose from after the exam is over. Overall, the practice is perfect for folks who have young children. Dr. Gerber's "chairside" manner is also very good for kids. Highly recommended. One thing to note is that you should have insurance. If not, the service is not cheap. read more

Best dentist ever. Kind, gentle, puts kids at ease immediately. He's also in favor of waiting things out when he isn't sure (repair a small amount of decal for example, that isn't quite a cavity yet.) When my son bruised (didn't know you could bruise a tooth) and it turned dark grey, he took a very measured approach rather than rushing to repair or pull it. We waited and as he suggested might happen, it slowly turned back to nearly almost white again. The TVs for the kids are great and the little stools so parents can be near their kids. My 3 children have been going to Dr. Paul Gerber since 2005. My oldest 2 children are adults now! My 2nd child has autism. He has seen Dr. Gerber since he was 10 years old and he is now 18! He doesn't always comply with the requests to open mouth, close, bite down, etc. I know Dr. Gerber always allotted extra time for my son's appointments because it'll take longer time for my son than a typical patient. Over the years we've had different dental hygienists clean my son's teeth and they've always gladly worked with my son to clean his teeth the best they could. They are successfully in putting the protective coating on his molars to prevent tooth decay. In the beginning, to acclimate my son to his office, I had my son accompany his siblings during their appointments. I purposely scheduled them on different days to increase the frequency of my son's exposure to the office. Dr. Paul Gerber's office was always very accommodating by allowing my son to see his siblings on the dental chairs. By the time it was his turn, he had already been there twice with his siblings so he knew what to expect. I've always had great experience with his staff. Cindy has been a fixture in his office and have always been very helpful with scheduling and insurance. My son had only 2 cavities that were caught early enough so that no local anesthetics was necessary. Dr. Gerber and his staff successfully filled the 2 cavities. They didn't become impatient with him. Dr. Gerber has always been very composed and collected under the most trying circumstances. I can't praise highly enough for the entire staff's patience, kindness, and competence! read more
