He listens to all my problems and I always leave his office with a resolution. Even before I became his patient it was difficult to find a doctor that takes my insurance as well as accepting new patients quickly and not having to wait weeks or months. I look forward to his visits unlike my other doctors. He seems to understand me and I never feel judged by him. Any requests you have he always makes sure to take care of. He sends me for labs when needed and gives me the requisition form right away so there's no waiting. I would recommend Dr. Winn for any patient. Any gender, sex, disabilities, age, this is a safe zone for anyone to enter. If you need a good Doctor and fast please don't hesitate to call and make your appointment. After a horrible experience with a local gyno (where she convinced me that I was depressed -I'm not, it's called PMS- and needed to be on happy pills), I've been a bit skeptical of docs. After reading Julia's review, however, I decided Dr. P sounded like my kinda woman, "someone I would love to have a beer with?" say no more. So I scheduled my appointment on Friday and they were able to put me in on Monday. I showed up at 3:30 (my assigned time), fearing I'd end up spending my entire afternoon there. Within 10 minutes I was seen by a nurse and within another 5 Dr. P showed up. She's just awesome. Totally conversational, quick to put you at ease, thorough... We talked about my medical history, she ran through a few exams, prescribed some medicine for my nagging cough, and sent me off for some blood work. I was out of the office by 4:15! After calling out from work, I looked around online and saw the minute clinic near me. They open up at 8:30 am and seem to close around 7-7:30 pm, with an hour closed for lunch (2 pm). Weekend hours are a bit shorter but I think they're open 7 days a week. Booked my appointment online, only had to wait about 10 minutes tops after arriving and checking in. After booking, you'll get texted/emailed a code, just type that in at the kiosk in the store and give them a few other pieces of info/sign crap, and you're good to go. It's located just off the pharmacy to the side, so you'll get to stare at the people waiting in the ridiculous pharmacy line while you wait! The provider (sadly I didn't get her name) was awesome. She did NOT order any unnecessary tests, especially knowing I was uninsured. She took the time to walk me over and get something OTC to help me out. I really appreciated that. I got my diagnosis without the ridiculous ER or walk-in clinic bill. In fact, minute clinic posts their prices online, so no big surprises if you're paying cash. I'd go here for any non-emergency if I couldn't see my PCP, or didn't have insurance. Heck, I'd still go back once insurance kicks in for simple stuff. I wish they had more of these and more providers like the one I saw today.
