Nobody likes having to need a windshield repair. Especially when it is no fault of your own. On a…read morerecent commute to work I ended up behind a semi carrying rock. One of those rocks flew off the back of the trailer and smacked my windshield and cracked it. As soon as the rock hit, I knew I was going to need to a repair. Luckily for me, my insurance had me covered and sent me here. It was going to be an early day and a long day for me. I showed up when they first opened for the day and hoped that I would get in and out as quickly as possible. This is the only thing that went wrong, the time it took. I thought I was going to be out of here quicker than I thought, but I ended up leaving here a bit later, no biggie as I was with a fixed windshield. I came in, gave them my information and took a seat in the waiting area until it was done. It is a small waiting area with a lot to offer. They have coffee available if that is your thing, chairs aplenty, television, and charging ports all over the place if you need to re-up your phone. While you wait you are given updates on the status of your vehicle and they even took me out to see the finished product before I left. While they were waiting for the glue to dry they also do a thorough carpet cleaning. They did an overall great job on restoring my windshield to pre-crack status and I was on my way for the day. Just hate that the song is stuck in my head all the time now.

After learning from our insurance we'd have to pay a $1,000 deductible, I shopped around. I found Casey at Xtreme Autoglass via Yelp and he quoted me nearly a hundred dollars below Safelite. Needless to say, I booked quickly. Casey walked me through the work he would do and finished quickly and expertly. He even showed me where my glass had been replaced before which was news to me. I'm very pleased with the work they've done and relieved to have saved a good bit of money on the repair. I'd only make a note that the signage in the parking lot isn't the most obvious and I was a little hesitant that I was in the right place but it's well worth the trip and the price!

The women that runs the desk is friendly enough, but the mechanics are strictly business so do not expect hugs and kisses from them :P But yes if you buy the parts they will not put them on. Most garages do this cause they make a profit on the parts cause they charge you more for them when they get the part for you. This is just the way the auto repair business is, they all do it for the most part. Years ago they would let you get the part and then put it on, but they stopped doing that a long time ago. I use another garage also and he does let me buy parts if I want to, but then he charges more for the labor, actually told me that. So they get you either way, yes it's BS, but hard to avoid this practice.
