This was my first time having a facial after some time! I was in the area visiting family and needed to find a place in a quick pinch. My main concern at the time was that my skin was peeling due to using an exfoliating scrub too often; even though my face is usually oily, my face recently turned so dry and flaking that I decided to go for the European facial in order to bring back hydration to my skin and smooth off the flakes. The lady who was working with me that day was so nice, she made it feel very relaxing and comfortable! She also gave me a lot of great advice about how to move forward with my skincare, it was definitely appreciated! I've been going to this place for 3 years now and even after moving, I continued to drive the 30min to go here. Well, after today I will not be coming back. I booked an appointment with a specific person and when I arrived, the person was not even there! On top of that, no communication was made about her no longer being available. This spa is in the corner of the small Warm Springs plaza near Verde & Ho Chow. They offer a variety of services that you can book ahead real easy on their website, which is what I did. Everyone inside wears a mask, they do temperature checks, and makes you sanitize your hands before entering the room. I had my first Brazilian wax done by Vicky who made my experience as comfortable as can be. The whole appointment took about 15 minutes and she makes the experience a lot less painful! It was really quick and easier than I thought. She uses this patting technique to ease the pain right after, that definitely helped. I like being in and out of my appointments and they definitely make their services prompt and to the point. I definitely recommend Vicky and I intend on coming back sometime soon. read more

Had a pretty nice experience with Vicky here. It had been a while since I've gotten a facial, but there are a ton of blackheads on my nose that I wanted to get rid of. I came in early and was immediately taken care of. I was taken into a dimly lit room where Vicky started working on my face. She first cleansed with two different products and then steamed my face for about 5-10 minutes. Then she started with the extraction and even apologized for the pain (but pain is always expected with extraction!) and was in general super sweet about it. After the extraction, she used a tool that felt electrically charged to massage my face to close the pores. Then she used a cooling roller tool and concluded with a mask that was very minty and refreshing. Afterwards, my face was super soft and she even offered to apply sunscreen. Unfortunately, there are still blackheads on my nose, but they might just be too stubborn/deep under the skin to remove. Overall, they had great service and Vicky did a great job and was super sweet, just wish they were able to remove all the blackheads. read more

We're talking about how long it has been and how badly I needed the silk peel facial. She ended up giving me all the works especially after I asked for some work along my jaw line and neck since things haven't been looking so great down there in terms of my skin after all the stress from school and working 80 hour weeks. She worked her magic and I walked out an hour later with glowing, smooth, beautiful skin. There's a reason she's the only person allowed to touch my face! Cleansing, microdermabrasion and LED lighting. I did it all in one session because my face needed pampering. Lillian did it well with the whole extraction. It wasn't too bad the next day, to my surprise. I made an appointment and they were closed when I got there for my appointment. Lost out on my business, but luckily I received a call because I called them the previous day and it went to voicemail. They said that their website has a glitch and that they are not opened after 6. I set up my appointment for 630pm. After the misunderstanding, I went that day Lillian returned my missed call and she was superbly patient on waiting for me! I appreciate it. I was not only sitting in traffic, but got lost on the road! It was horrible. I kept rerouting and was late. Whoops. I guess it balances out the online misinformation. They should fix that. Im super over due for my monthly beauty regimen! I was being super lazy to drive 5 miles to the wax center where I usually frequent so i decided to Yelp and check if there is something i can find near my place. I went to search for Hair Removal and came across Geranium Spa. Checked the reviews and saw that all of them gave this place 5 stars. Ok. Cool. I'm sold. I'll try them out but it says that they're closed for the day (Monday). That didn't stop me from calling the number listed. Ring! Ring! Ring! Bingo! Somebody picked up! Asked them if I can walk in and the person on the other line said I can! Sweet! 3minutes later, I'm at the place and was greeted by the owner Vicky! She's very pleasant and friendly! I showed her the $10 off promotion on Yelp but she said it's actually for people who refers a friend then proceeded in informing me that I can purchase the $40 certificate for $50 service on Yelp. Ok, I can do that. Vicky is so nice that while i was in the process doing it she said nevermind, since you're a first time customer, she will just give the Brazilian wax $10 OFF! I went in...I will not lie and tell you "oh! It's nothing!" after doing this for so long IT STILL HURT like a bleep bleep! I prolly even shed a tear! One day after learning she'd left her old place, I was like omg whose gonna help me keep a clean pimple free face :( Sad and depressed I started to look for another facial place; but late one night my phone buzzed with a text...and its from some unknown #. Blah blah blah....Lilian!!! OMG!!!!! It was her!! and she found me! I can't tell you how happy I was (and still AM). I got my very very first facial from Lilian in 2008ish. Since then she's always had a special place in my heart :-D This is a cute simple spa (you might miss if your not careful...there was no sign when I went there, but I think she'll have one up real soon) nothing over the top fancy, but you'll surely get an AWEOMSE facial here. The extractions are painful, but well worth it. No one's brave enough to pick and squeeze like Lilian, tears falling from my eyes, but blemish and pimple free. My face looks amazing for almost a week after the facial!! I go make-up free and love it! I wish she'd ease up getting the products in my hair line.....I look like I haven't showered for days, with a greasy hairline. One time I got a mask (which was white) and some of it dried in my hair..went over to friend's place afterwards and shes like NIKKI I think you got something weird in your hair! : - O I knew she was pulling my leg....so I go to the bathroom and check it out....a huge chunck of the mask was stuck in my hairline. Just visited Lilian yesterday and had to update my review since she is so great!! I recently moved to the Peninsula and although it takes me over an hour to get to Geranium Spa...it is so worth it! I've had appointments with both Lillian and Vicky. I did the brazillion waxes and got the package. First visit: Vicky was very helpful and informative about pre-care and after-care of the waxing. However, I didn't expect the waxing to be done so quickly! I think it was only ~10-13mins that it took. It looked like she got everything, but when I went home, there were just a few extras hairs leftover that the wax didn't reach. Second visit: I really like talking to Lillian and I felt that she waxed and got everything and was more thorough with certain areas, so thank you! She's very fun and calming to talk to. After I went home to check, the area felt very nice and clean and hairless. This appointment was about ~15-20mins. Pros: Very sanitized, clean and clear working space. They know their stuff! Cons: I feel like the waxing is a bit rushed. If you're thinking about getting a wax down there, I would highly definitely recommend to try it out at least once in your life. Don't mind the price because I totally think it's worth it not having to deal with hairs for a good 2-3 weeks before it starts growing back. You won't have to bother with razor burns, ingrown hairs, and having to shave every week. It will hurt the first time. The second time didn't hurt as much. read more

I have never once touched the hairs on my legs. Never shaved, never waxed, never plucked. So this was my first ever wax. I had Lillian Zhan for my appointment and only did the lower leg ($30). She was very informative about what to do since this was my first time and very friendly. I always expected unbelievable pain when it comes to waxing but Lillian had made it bearable and quick. The pain was very minimal. I cannot thank Lillian enough for making my first wax experience great. I can't wait to continue coming back here. Yesterday I came for a 60mins European Facial for the first time and VICKY took care of me. I felt completely comfortable with her. She made a great job with my face. I have no blackheads and my skin is completely soft. The facial came with a neck and shoulder massage which was really relaxing. And the price is fair. I just came from my facial and I hardly give bad reviews, but I just felt like I have to only because they don't deserve all the positive reviews that I'm seeing here. I really can't understand where all the positive reviews are coming from either :/ I recognized Vicky and Lillian from Lavendar Spa and they were both really good at giving Brazilian waxes, probably were the best I've had. So I was pretty ecstatic to find that they branched out and opened up shop at this new location. Well...I think they should just stick w/ waxes because they sucked at facials. I wanted to treat my mom so we both got the silk peel facial for $90 each. I would say that the facial lasted less than 50min and Lillian, who was my esthetician was barely in the room! I didn't get any décolletage, face, neck or head massage. What's worse is that she used gloves to give me my facial!! Is my face that dirty, where you can't even touch me w/ your very own hands. I mean I can understand if I was getting a foot, where it's only appropriate. Of all the times I've had facials, never have they used gloves on me, except here! I read the previous reviews, which makes me think that it's their friends/family or was paid because they said that their esthetician never left the room and gave them personal attention, which was what I wanted for myself and mom. My mom was so disappointed in the facial that she had w/ Vicky, that she didn't even want to tip her. She felt like Vicky wasn't detailed and attentive, and just wanted her out there. That's certainly not how you retain your customers... Well..I had to go drive my mom to get a full body massage afterwards just to make her happy. Cus she didn't feel relaxed at all from her facial, neither did I. I don't mind paying a lot of money for things as long as the quality is there. Vicky was amazing! She assessed my needs and tailored my facial to what I needed. She was gentle with my extractions and she is worth every penny. I have yet to find an aesthetician I am loyal to. Here's hoping I have found her!! Provided I don't have any weird infections or something, I will be completely faithful. I left happy and more than pleasantly surprised:) Only negative had nothing to do with her. But to me a very serious issue with the store itself. The restroom was not clean. The toilet was clean thank goodness (since that's the most important part) but the floors and sink were not ok. Restaurants, nail salons, dr office, spas etc should be spotless: top to bottom. I went in skeptical because I've tried everything. Vicky asked me to be patient and committed and work with her. Also a HUGE FAN OF Lillian! I followed her from Lavender to this Spa. Shamefully, I did try a few other places when I realized she left Lavender, and IT was a costly mistake!! When you find the one, you stay with the one! Lillian is my MUST GO TO for any facials ( I've tried the silkpeel and the basic facial), especially when it requires extractions. I've tried Vicky once ( a silkpeel, not as satisfying as the first silkpeel that I got with Lillian!), but my favorite is still Lillian! Definitely get facial with Lillian! read more
