Disclaimer: This review is only for their waxing service. I had called last Saturday to get an appointment for waxing and facial. The lady who answered the phone confirmed an appointment at 5pm the same day. When I get there at 5, they tell me that they can only do either waxing or a basic facial since they have an appointment at 6pm. Well, they should have told this to me when I had called in the morning! I let that go and chose to do just waxing. The lady who was there to get the job done looked at my hands and legs and said - "that's a lot of hair" and I was like yes let's get to action then. She seemed very confused on what wax to use and started with my legs by applying wax that was in a warmer. She seemed very uncomfortable with that approach and went outside to come back with this little wax dispensing applicator thing that looked like a deodorant stick and began applying with that. The wax in it wasn't warm enough and it get tugging my skin when she rolled it to apply the wax. Just the process of applying the wax was painful. I told her a few times that the wax was cold and to please heat it up. She kept running outside to heat that ever so often. Soon she was back with an assistant who knew nothing about waxing. She started doing my legs and the way she pulled the wax strips off was extremely painful. I told her to stop and only the first lady did the rest. She was not thorough and careless and hurt me a lot during the entire process. Moving to my hands, she started speeding up as it was nearing 6pm for the next appointment I believe, and was pulling the strips very roughly. It was hurting so bad that when I finally took a look at my hands there were blood clots everywhere. I was shocked and immediately got up and asked her to stop. I told her this has never happened to me ever before, dressed up, paid and left. I was so upset and told her I was not ok to her repeated question of if I was ok. I got out, and was so upset that I just randomly went to another salon in the complex to complete the wax job. The lady at this new place was shocked to see my bruised hands and cleaned me up after a good wax job, which was gentle and painless. Later when I got home, I saw that both my hands were bruised from all careless pulling of wax strips. Also, there was wax everywhere. Their clean up after the procedure was not good. It's been a week and only now are my hands healing. I would unfortunately never visit this place again even to try the facials that people are raving about. read more
