Georgia Local Craft is a craft beer and wine bar located behind the Gullwing Club (Sections 108C to 112C) inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium. This is a small, two-register bar, that sells reasonably-priced (for a stadium) beer and wine. The beer selection is local and large. The staff knows the selection well and can make great recommendations based on customer preferences. They're also friendly.
During our visit during a recent United game, the house wine was Pulpoloco Sangria ($9) and the premium wine was Domaine Chandon Sweet Star ($10). There was also a "Boozy Sparkling Water Black Raspberry" ($6). Beer is their strong suit. I counted over 23 varieties on the menu. I didn't see any beers on tap; everything was canned. All cans were located behind the counter in three double-door fridges. Brands included, but were not limited to, Atlanta Brewing, Eventide, Ironmonger, Monday Night, Oconee, Orpheus, Red Hare, Southern, Three Taverns, Wild Heaven, and Wild Leap. Most 12-ounce cans were priced at $6 each with 16-ounce cans at $9.
I tried a Creature Comforts Athena [Berliner Weisse] and it was delicious; cold, citrusy, fruity, and tart. It went well with barbecue from nearby Jim 'N Nick's and fit into the cupholder at the seat nicely.
Like most, if not all, vendors at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Georgia Local Craft only accepts card and mobile payment (e.g. Apple Pay, Google Pay). If you only have cash, you can convert your cash to card at a Falcons/United team store.
The bar has two TVs so you can keep up with the action while you stand in line and wait for your order. There's no dedicated seating. During United games, Georgia Local Craft closes at the 75th minute. During Falcons and college football games, they close at the end of the 3rd quarter. read more
