There's a machine when you get in that you want to use to get a ticket printed and assigned. It's a quick process to get that. McDonough Tag Office is located at 140 Henry Parkway, McDonough, GA 30253 and their phone numbers are 770-954-2470 or 770-288-8180. Their open hours are Mondays 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM; Tuesday thru Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM; and they are closed on Saturdays and Sundays. They are also closed all federal and state holidays. Some offices are closed the day before and the day after a holiday; call ahead to find out. From the get-go there wasn't many people waiting but we had to go thru a first line to get our ticket and forms to fill out; the lady working at this counter was very dry and a little harsh but treat her with kindness and she'll get over that. We started filling out our forms and not ten minutes later I was called up and a minute later my husband was called up. The inconsistency comes with their service, my husband had to do an eye exam and I didn't (don't know why because we were both doing the license exchange) and what took me no more than ten minutes took him fifteen, which it's still not horrible but it's inconsistent. Overall it was a very pleasant experience. We were in and out in 20 minutes.

It was busy, but the wait was short. Amazing service, I was in and out under 15 minutes. I didn't get the lady's name, but she was working at window 4. She was very nice, friendly and helpful. Weekends they are closed. Please check timings on-line before you leave. If you pay with credit card thier is 2.5% fee or you can pay cash directly with no fee. Here you also have an on-site guard all times. I have visited this tag office several times since 2022 and the service is always courteous. Thank you to all members of staff at this office. I wish they keep this place little more neat and clean, else all is good. Ample free parking is available in front of this office as it sits in a shopping plaza next to Burlington coat factory.
