Georgia Daniels brought resolution to a long and complicated divorce for a reasonable fee. I very highly recommend her.

Wow. Where do I start about this wonderful lady that I was lucky enough to cross paths with? Let…read moreme start by telling everyone the nightmare I was in when I reached out to Victoria for help. Back story: I had hired a "mediator" who, for $799.00, promised me divorce paperwork that would take my marriage to dissolution, "no probs". She even went as far as telling me to avoid Legal Zoom because she heard bad things from clients, in that they don't help you if you have any subsequent issues. Little did I know at the time, that SHE would be causing all of those issues, not my divorce case itself which was uncontested even with a child involved. And she was the one I could barely reach every time a problem showed it's face. Long story short, my paperwork was rejected by the Courts (I mean, this woman had NO idea!) and I didn't know what the F-else to do. I looked to Yelp. And found Victoria. And I called her. I let myself go when we first talked and just in that short, 10-minute conversation, she was like a rainbow in a horrible mess I was led to by the original mediator I'd hired. Victoria just knew what the hell she was doing; she even SOUNDED like she knew what she was doing and I ran with it. I'm SO glad that I did. Victoria expertly re-did the entire paperwork the other woman had made a dog's dinner of. She even talked about forms that were necessary and MISSING from the original paperwork, that I had no prior idea I needed at all. Papers were accurately completed in such a timely manner; it's clear she was super qualified and she knew her craft. It gave me such a peace of mind - and guess what? My divorce was finalized without issue as of June 19, 2015. Victoria is worth every single dime she charges AND she's a pleasure to work with! She's the ultra-professional and you won't regret hiring her services. Given the situation I was in, I made sure to check references this time and everyone came through. But mostly, Victoria came through for me and I will gush about her until I'm blue in the face.

Couldn't have asked for an easier mediation. I found Victoria on Yelp and she was exactly what we needed. She banged out our paperwork without having to meet with us. We did everything over the phone and through email. There are incredible amounts of paperwork (which my ex had weeded through initially) and she was able to get them filled out and into court system within a few weeks. I believe its only been about 4 months since we first talked to Victoria and our divorce was finalized this week!!

He was exceedingly kind and easy to talk to and very promptly and thoroughly took care of everything for what I thought was a reasonable price. He took a lot of time to explain everything and let me know what all my options were. I can totally see how he would be an excellent mediator!!

To refer to Mark as a mediator isn't really describing what he does. He's trained and licensed as…read morean attorney but meeting with Mark is a quick reminder why there are so many lawyer jokes. He's like the anti-lawyer. He truly truly cares about his clients and leaves his own agenda (if he even has one in these situations) outside the room. Mediation to help multiple parties come to a satisfying agreement is only part of what he does - I've come to refer to him as an emotional translator. When two people are angry at each other it's more than just anger - Mark helped me see this. There's hurt, betrayal, sadness, grief, and a myriad of other emotions I can't think of right now - but I bet Mark can! He's excellent with naming feelings that you may not know you even have. He's incredible at teaching people to see the other's point of view in a way that doesn't make you feel defensive of yours - huge for me as a control freak always in recovery. Mark helped me navigate a very difficult relationship I was having with my mother and I wanted to be able to let go of my anger - I was beginning to think it wasn't possible and it made me sad as my mom is getting older and I wanted so bad to heal our relationship while she's still here. Mark was incredibly instrumental in making that happen and I'm forever grateful. Like in any mediation situation it always takes all parties willing to do the work but Mark has a way of diffusing tension and making the parties willing and even WANTING to find peaceful resolution. Highly highly recommend him.

I initially had a positive impression of this firm. My consultation with Mr. Chiao went well. He…read moreclearly explained my legal options, came across as warm and earnest, and made me feel comfortable retaining the firm. Unfortunately, once my case began, serious organizational and communication issues emerged. Although the complaint itself was well written, it was filed with the wrong court and contained an incorrect address. I was never informed of this mistake and had to discover it on my own. Correcting the issue required a change of venue, which cost me significant time and money for an error that was not mine. Communication throughout the case was inconsistent. At times, staff were responsive and reassuring; at other times, follow-up emails went unanswered and seemed to fall through the cracks. When I informed the firm that the opposing party was making threatening communications, my concerns did not appear to be taken seriously. After deciding to retain new counsel, I was surprised by how aggressively this firm interacted with my new attorney during the transition. Even more concerning, when my case files were transferred, I was mistakenly sent documents belonging to a different client. This raised serious concerns about their internal controls and confidentiality practices. I was also charged approximately $600 for work the firm claimed had been completed but which was never included in the file transfer. When I requested a refund, I was told the work had been done and that I would need to absorb the cost, despite having to pay my new attorney to redo it. Overall, this firm's lack of organization and efficiency ended up costing me more time, money, and stress than necessary. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend shopping around for other firms, even if they are located outside the Pasadena area.
