Instead, it became a large source of discontent and stress in our home. We reached out to Mr. Eck and after much negotiation, he finally agreed to buy the table back minus the delivery and pickup fees. I paid $1,563.37. That's a lot of money to me. Now here we are, 11 months later with no table and a loss of $1,563.37. Mr. Eck initally agreed to send the refund with the crew that was sent to pick up the table. That didnt happen. They told us then that he would mail us the check when he received the table back in his shop. Now he refuses to send my refund back to us at all. He has spent his time stringing us along, misleadung and just plain lieing to us for a year. We have asked him for 3 months where the refund is and his response is always that infamous excuse, "it is in the mail". I have never felt so stressed by a transaction in my entire life. I have been left with no choice but to file a dispute through our bank in addition to a lawsuit with our attorney for criminal fraud for funds exceeding $1000. We will see how that goes. Its very sad that it came to this. I sincerely recommend staying far away from this company, UNLESS you enjoy losing money, time and years off of your life. Its abundantly clear that this company has never had any intention of refunding our money. read more

I struggle with posting this, mainly because Andrew and Trent are such nice people...and all of the photos of the furniture they build looks gorgeous; however, my experience and custom farm table is far from that..... I went from super excited about my table to super disappointed to super frustrated. I was told the table would be shipped in 5-6 weeks after I ordered it on April 17th - which would have put the table in my house on or around May 22nd. The table was delivered on June 30th (almost 11 weeks after I ordered it). The table that finally arrived what NOT what I ordered. Everything possible went wrong with my order.... I asked and offered to pay for sample colors - I never rec'd any samples. I asked and was told pictures would be sent to review - I never rec'd photos (until AFTER the table was delivered). After missing the delivery date, I asked for updates on delivery - got a vague response stating, we are working on it and will send pictures of the progress - never rec'd anything. Delivery was supposed to be on Friday, then Sat morning, then Sat afternoon, then they would be here in 2 hours - delivered at 10pm Delivery was supposed to be "white-glove" - it wasn't...my husband helped carry the table in (there was one person to carry a 10' table) The table that was delivered was brown and shiny - I ordered grey-wash and matte I spoke to Andrew (again, very responsive) and I told him when the table was delivered, it felt like the team just slapped my table together to get it on the u-haul, wrong color, wrong stain, missing stain, not sanded with a sharp panel still exposed.... The remedy was to schedule Trent to come out on the next delivery route to fix the table. Trent did come yesterday August 15th, 2018 (4 months after the original order) - he hand sanded the table and painted it with grey paint. I asked if Trent if he was using a stain or paint and he said paint. It defiantly made the table look less brown and more grey. It's better, it's just not what I envisioned the table would look like when I originally ordered the table and especially when I see other tables on their social media. Andrew sent a picture of the grey washed tabletop - which was a stain and that's what I thought my whole table would look like - it's not anything/anywhere close to the end result. I now have a brown-based-stained-grey-watered-down painted table. I understand just painting it was the easiest and cheapest thing to do, but, that's not always the best thing to do for your customer. Especially as patient as I've been. The RIGHT thing would have been to build and deliver the table I ordered. I do hope Georgia Artisan put some measures in place to ensure other customers don't experience the same negative experience I had when placing and receiving their order. read more

Once the error was reported, Trent took full ownership of it and outlined a great plan to get us the right piece promptly. Found Georgia Artisan on Etsy as I was looking for a farm table. Loved their stuff so much we ended up having a bed made too! Communication from Andrew and team was spot on. We changed a few design details and they totally accommodated everything we wanted. Emailed me right back with answers, even on the weekends! Table and bed arrived today and they're beautiful! (See pictures) Even better than we imagined. Oh, and they delivered it for free (Tampa, FL) and installed it, which is great because this stuff is so solid there's no way I could have lifted it myself! 100 year old reclaimed wood, 2x4 framing, solid plywood; these will last forever. These guys are fantastic, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for handmade, high-quality furniture. read more

Farm Table We ordered a farm table, a console table and a side table, all custom designed to our specifications to go with our lake house in the Northeast. The Georgia Artisan team were superb. We met them in their factory, picked out our color and wood type and provided dimensions, and the result was great. The order arrived a couple months later, delivered, and we love it. We had a couple minor tweaks we needed, and team addressed during their next visit up to our state to make sure the furniture was exactly to our liking. Would highly recommend. One comment -- this is custom furniture, lovingly assembled, using very old refurbished wood that has a lot of character (and real world imperfections). It's for those that want something special and are a bit patient. If you want something done asap and looking very consistent surfaces etc., this may not be for you. read more

PLEASE DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!! On November 4th, 2018, we ordered a custom farmhouse table from Georgia Artisan through Etsy.com. We requested a custom order of the table because I wanted to ensure that the top of the table would have the farmhouse look, but have all of the nooks and crannies filled in due to the fact that we have a toddler and it would be impossible to clean the food particles out of it. We were assured that this was possible and a custom order was created for us. Initial conversations were pleasant, thorough, and I was even asked for my phone number so they could contact me throughout the process. The website listed a shipping and processing time and gave us a date that the product would be shipped. I contacted the shop on December 5th, 2018 as Etsy listed that it should have shipped the day before. Unfortunately, this is the reply I received "Etsy automatically puts our in progress orders into arbitrary ship date categories. This doesn't necessarily reflect the nature of how we craft our products, so there will be some deviation from that date. As of now we should have your table done in about 3 weeks. We are extremely busy during the Holiday season so we have a little bit longer lead time on orders due to the volume of orders we have. I apologize if this has put a damper on your holiday plans, but I do not believe that we can have your order to you in time for Christmas." Basically, they took my money and then blew me off to see their cheaper, easier to move before Christmas merchandise. Disappointed, we chose to hope for the best due to the many great reviews on Etsy. On January 2, 2019, I was told the product would ship out on Friday. It wasn't actually shipped until the 8th. When the product arrived in Illinois, Fedex would not deliver it to our home because the company had not paid for lift gate service and we were to be responsible for getting the heavy table off of a semi by ourselves. They finally paid for the full delivery service and our table arrived on January 13th. Unfortunately again, the table was not completed as ordered. The holes in the table top and sides were not filled and sanded smooth as promised. I contacted the shop and was given an apology and told that they would send a carpenter to us in the next few months to fix the problem. On February 16th, we still hadn't heard about a scheduled repair and noticed a large splinter coming off the side of the table. Here is the reply I received, "We sincerely apologize again for this and want to make it right with you asap. That being said, our next round of deliveries out your direction will be coming up in the next four weeks. As soon as we have a confirmed set of dates we will reach out to you promptly. In regards to the splinter that has come up, (again, we are sorry this anomaly is occurring for you), I would say that you not only cover it with the painters tap but placing a piece of thick cardboard over the area then affixing the tape over that area in order to prevent your sweet little one from getting hurt and to keep that splinter in tack so that we may glue it back together when we make the trip out to you guys. " I waited another 4 weeks to contact the shop ... I'm trying to give these people a chance, but I got the following reply, "Yes we are very much planning on coming up to you and repairing your table. We have to wait till we have enough orders to send a carpenter to you. We are very close. I hope to be up there in the next month." Today, I tried to file a complaint with Etsy. Unfortunately, in trying to give these people the benefit of the doubt, they effectively got me to wait until after the 100 day period in which I can file a complaint. Needless to say, I have escalated the dispute with Etsy. I am out $1700 on a table that I cannot use with my family. I hope that this will deter you from the headache and heartache that my family has suffered. Our next step will be the Better Business Bureau. read more

I could not recommend Georgia Artisan more! I had a twelve person farm table made and it is absolutely beautiful! The real shining star of my whole home. You can tell just by a glance that this table was made with care and fine craftsmanship. It's balanced, made with quality materials and was delivered without a hitch. I even needed to get in contact with Andrew about a year after the table was made when a friends kid scratched the table and he was able to walk me through repairing the damage. The table still looks perfect and I am so grateful for the help and communication I received. If you need something made I could not recommend them any more. read more

I ordered a table, chairs and a bench from Georgia Artisan. They ended up a bit inundated, so we waited longer than initially expected to receive our items...however, Andrew then brought our items to us personally (instead of the delivery we were expecting, which would've required us to assemble) and put everything together right in our dining room. We ordered a zen box bed which we were super excited about- unfortunately we were very disappointed with both the product as well as the customer service- the back of the bed does not exist, the glue can be seen between the slats making it look very unprofessional - definitely not a 1400 dollar bed. The board that supports the mattress had splinters and wasn't even. When contacted them regarding the issues and sending pictures of our complaints they claimed they did not know what we are talking about. This bed has potential to look amazing but the little details such as visible glue and no back gives it a cheap look. read more
