What a view! Went here to see the Cambridge 4th of July fireworks. Enjoyed pizza (adults) and mac and cheese cups (kids) for food. Most of their wines are sweet and they have some other wines from other wineries. I don't usually like sweet wines, but I enjoyed their Concord wine. They have alcoholic slushies and one that was non-alcoholic that our kids enjoyed. Staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. Plenty of parking and lots of outside seating options.

Our meal here was during an impromptu trip in the off season. The place was abandoned when we got there and we were not sure if it was open, but it was! Currently under construction due to a water issue, the space is fun and its clear that it is probably hopping in the summer. We ordered wine and a vodka slushie, very good! Also got nachos and a BBQ pizza. The nachos were decent but lacked noticable cheese, it was mostly meat (good meat tho), and the BBQ pizza was insanely sweet with minimal chicken and a boatload of sauce. We both ended up with stomach aches from the sweet BBQ sauce. The pizza has potential, but order something other than the BBQ Chicken. We aren't local, but if we came through town we would check it out for the views in the summer. As a plus sized female (bigger but not massive), my major critique is all their indoor seating with the exception of 3 seats, are permanently fixed as well as the tables, meaning that I cannot sit and be comfortable/facing the tables. If the place had been crowded, I wouldn't' of been able to find a seat.

We were visiting our son at Muskingum University and stopped for dinner. The first thing we noticed was the view--just amazing! Happy hour is from 4-6 and we took advantage of this! We found seats overlooking the vineyard and put in our order. The pizzas were delicious, made to order in the stone oven. Half price appetizers were perfect--housemade chips with Parmesan were some of the best we have had. Adult slushies were great! Selections of beverages were wide for everyone. My husband is a beer connoisseur, and he found one he liked. The view, the people, the food, the drinks: We will definitely be back and recommend you try it out! (Just don't tell TOO many people wink wink)

The view.

Only reason for 4 star is we had to order at outside bar. Inside was be renovated. We sat on the deck and it had a nice breeze and beautiful view. Georgetown Merlot was good. The margarita pizza was delicious. Made like a true Italian margarita pizza should be. Fresh basil. Etc. We were there at noon. Can't comment on night experience.

Had a wonderful girls day outing! The host at the bar was so nice and made wonderful suggestions. We enjoyed sampling the wine and purchased so many great bottles! The view is stunning. We had the pizza and wine slushes. Amazing!

This place is AMAZING! Gorgeous views, phenomenal food, and amazing wines as well as beers on tap. My husband isn't a wine drinker but he said he would go back just for the beer and food! We had the pizza which I would HIGHLY recommend. We stayed in Salt Fork and wasn't a bad drive from there. A great ambiance for a wonderful anniversary weekend!

Beautiful scenery! We had the brick over pizza and it was great. The live music is tasteful and isn't too loud. Service could use some work but I imagine they're short staffed like many other places. You will stand in line for awhile to get drinks and order food. The wine was wonderful! Overall, the scenery is gorgeous however, the unkempt vines from the previous place is pretty sad. We will definitely be back though. The environment and atmosphere is exactly what we were looking for after a long week.

Really enjoyed Georgetown. Being new to the area we heard of the vineyard. We thought it might be more upscale, but surprisingly glad it wasn't. They have only a few tables. We were a bit confused when we got there. There was a sign that said "order here". So we did. However, we also noticed table service. We ordered the Caprese salad, a Margharita pizza, pretzel sticks and a bottle of wine. Everything was perfect. The prices were great. We don't normally like Reisling, but...we'll, let's just say...we finished the bottle. I wanted a greens salad, but was disappointed that they didn't have any homemade dressing. That's ok; it got me to order the Caprese and I was glad I did. We will definitely come back and bring friends.

This time we were planning a trip to the NFL Hall of Fame in Canton, OH for the weekend. We planned it perfectly to allow us to stop here first when they open up. When we arrive, it's like most wineries that we've ever been to, it's in the middle of no where, long drive on back roads, which always tells us this is going to be good. :) We arrived and as soon as you see the location of the winery, it's breathtaking, as it sits on a hillside and oversees the area of beautiful nature, it's incredible. They have seating as you arrive in the front of the winery, on the side in a shaded area and in the back, in which where we preferred. They have several large areas around the property where they grow their grapes at on the property. The owner was very sweet and nice, as I like to ask too many questions, but she was kind and provided me some feedback. Majority and if not all of the wine is sourced from the estate directly. Some of the grapes they had to outsource because of a bad growing season and or they aren't planting any longer. Importantly enough they stay local in Ohio, but one of the grapes they obtain from New York. Moving on about the important part is the wine. We both tried our own flights, I had the Chambourcin, Country Ridge, Terra Red and Crooked Creek. They were all very good. The Chambourcin is a dry red aged in an american oak barrel, and has an amaging taste. The Red is a blend of two different red wines and my favorite, and the Country Ridge was another favorite as it was an off-dry red. My wife loved the white wines. The wines were all excellent. This was our first stop and didn't want to leave, that's how nice it's here. These are the type of wineries we enjoy stopping at. I asked the owner how long they've been here. She said interesting story that they've been here officially 27 years, but opened up 4 years after purchasing the property and planting the grapes. It allowed the grapes enough time to actually be prepared enough to make an estate wine. She said when they seen the property was for sale and it was 1200 acres, they purchased 55 acres, signed the paperwork and 3 days later they owned the property. What an amazing story they have. This is a special place to visit and indulge on the wine. She also made a recommendation on a restaurant in Wooster, OH that we took her up on her recommendation, and she was right, it was awesome. I highly recommend visiting this establishment. So worth it. One more thing the name of the winery, why Terra Cotta? I didn't ask but should have. One cool thing is when you are served a cheese board and or anything it's all on a terra cotta material. Very cool. How about the prices, they're right to the point.

Driving out to the vineyard, you will experience beautiful views and then you will be rewarded once you get inside. Plenty of parking outside and the winery looks out on their rolling vineyards. Terra Cotta is owned by a couple who have been making wine for a while. The winery has been open for 17 years, but their experience extends beyond that. We went early on a Friday afternoon and since it was slow, we had an opportunity to chat with the owners. I was impressed with their participation in local community events and their connections to other wineries around Ohio (they know the owners of several). They were set up for a nighttime event on the day we were there and they do Paint and Sips occasionally as well. Although you won't get Terra Cotta wines at the big Ohio Wine Fest in Kirtland or the North Market Wine Fest in Columbus, it's worth the drive out there to try out the wines and find one you like. They have everything from sweet to dry. Our favorite was the Terra Red, so we bought a bottle. My only regret is that we didn't get to try all of their wines, but we were on a road trip, so we just sampled this time around. Hopefully we can get back there soon!

BF and I were trying to do everything Amish and local for our Valentine's weekend in Dresden, OH…read moreand we picked this place based on their really nice website. Gotta say, the website was much more impressive than the actual place. This wasn't too far of a drive from Dresden Inn but coming back, we got turned around because of the lack of lights, signage and skinny roads. They have plenty of parking and the string of lights outside was cute. I asked the waitress TWO times whether the sweet potato fries for the sandwich entree was extra and she confirmed TWICE that it was not an extra cost. Welp, upon paying, guess what? It was $4 extra! Just look at my picture to see that like 12 skinny AF fries are NOT worth the extra charge! Their house chips were great. I ordered the brie & jam sandwich and it was filling and delicious. I also ordered a crispy chicken salad and was pretty disappointed at the quality. I abhor cheese shavings on salad (they don't belong on salads!) and there was just mounds of very processed looking cheese. There was not enough chicken pieces for the price, too many croutons, no onion or enough tomato; just cheap lettuce. They don't serve regular glasses of water here. It was all crushed ice! We suspected they were just pre-wine slushies! This was really odd. There's not real wait service but since we sat upstairs, people needed to bring stuff up so I did tip a usual amount. I wanted to experience more of a country, made from scratch type of setting so was not too happy with the very Chilis/Applebee quality and presentation of their food.

When I arrived, they were out of nearly a dozen wines--never a good start at a winery. Service felt impersonal and cafeteria-style: you circle your selections, and that's about it. There was little to no description or engagement about the wines themselves, which all tasted fairly ordinary and forgettable. Adding to the disappointment, the main entrance featured a strip of fly tape covered in dead flies--something I've never encountered at a food or drink establishment, and frankly, not the best first impression. There's definite potential here, but at the moment, the experience feels unpolished and uninspired. I genuinely hope they improve, but for now, I can't recommend a visit.

He took the time to explain wine in a way that made the whole experience so much more enjoyable and personal. I'll admit, my husband was hesitant when we first pulled up because the outside doesn't immediately scream "winery," but I told him to trust the process. I'm so glad we did because we ended up bringing home a case of wine with nine different varieties because we couldn't pick favorites. We loved them all. Craig also told us about their wine and food pairing dinners, which sound amazing, and his wife Candy does the meal pairings. Craig led us through the tasting of about 7 wines, and he shared historical information about WV wine country, grape lineage and history, the politics of wineries in WV, and most importantly what makes a "perfect wine". If you can't tell from all of the photos in the reviews, the landscape is absolutely stunning. They also have alpacas on the property which are fun to watch. The main portion of the winery is in a renovated barn. The inside is just as stunning as the outside. I may be partial since yellow is my favorite color, but the outside of the bar is gorgeous as well! Our service was wonderful. The two women working the bar were friendly, very helpful, and quick. The wine is also delicious. I always recommend getting a wine flight so you can taste a variety. Yellow Butterfly does a great job with their fruit wines! Their only downfall is their food menu. They often have a food truck, but it's not always what you are typically looking to eat with wine (there was a bbq truck when we were there.) Aside from this, they have bags of pretzels and other small snack to purchase. We wished we could have had a charcuterie board or at least some cheese and crackers with our wine. All in all, the Yellow Butterfly is a must!
