The new roof was installed back in November 2025 by a different company, all went well. I had ServiceMaster come in the beginning of January 2026 to do the demolition of the bedroom and dining room walls and hardwood floors that were ruined by the leak. The walls are torn down to the brick on the outside of my hoe, and the hardwood floors are ripped up with nails sticking out everywhere. It is freezing in my home, as the walls are stripped down to the outside brick. They came in with the understanding that they were doing all the repair work, and restoration. They explained everything to me that they would do the demolition, take pictures of the demolished areas, and submit it to my insurance company, get the money needed, and begin all the repair and restorations. they made it all sound very easy.
I have called them since the beginning of January after the demolition was completed. I have been calling for 2 months now, weekly to get updates. Every single time I call I get the same story "Yes, we have to get the photos together, submit them to your insurance company with the estimate, and get the approvals and funds. We have just been so busy with all the other flooding, pipes bursting, and winter related problems, we are working on it, but have not had the time because we are so busy". I know they are busy, I know they have had emergencies, but it is absolutely unreasonable and not acceptable to think a customer will wait 2 months for help. I have heard this since the beginning of January, same excuse. I have had to call weekly and get an update because NOBODY has contacted me at all. NOBODY has reached out, followed up, called me to let me know what's happening. NO COMMUNICATION WHATSOEVER. Each time I have called since January, I am getting the same answer. The fact is, that I am also a customer. I know they are busy. But, I am also a customer. A customer that has been waiting for 2 months for ANYBODY to contact me, and move this forward, get started, do something, anything. My home remains without walls, the hardwood floors stripped apart with nails sticking up, the ceiling in the dining room is 1/2 gone as well. I have yet to hear a response from them. When I called about 10 days ago, I got the same answer "we are so busy, etc, etc". Yeah, busy. But again, I am also a customer. A customer that has been waiting for 2 months now. As a nurse, I cannot imagine making a patient of mine wait 2 months for help. This is completely unacceptable. I leave a customer for 2 months with the walls stripped out down to the brick outside, the hardwood floors gone, nails sticking up causing a possible injury, and most of all....no answers when I call is terrible. When I called a few weeks ago, a woman answered the phone and said to me "oh we are busy, maybe you should fid a different company". That is no way to conduct business, and is something that should never be said to a customer, who already had an agreement that work was to be completed. So, needless to say....today I am going with another company. If I could give ServiceMaster 0 stars I would. Their communication, follow through, and customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. Do not believe them when they say they will help. Do not trust them when they say they will complete a project. They apparently just wanted the money for the demolition and never had the expectation to come back to help me. Do yourself a favor and do not waste your time with the ServiceMaster Feasterville PA location.
