love how they cut my hair especially george. i always look forward to cutting my hair with him

Ladies and Gentlemen, young or old and everyone in between, George has been here for 27 years cutting and coifing hair in this corner spot at Eagle Rock Blvd and York. It's easy to miss, but we were referred to George for barber services. Just discovered he had his own salon in Iran doing exclusively ladies hair. He was shut down by the government after the revolution as it was illegal for men to cut women's hair! He immigrated to the USA in the 80s. I have medium length hair with loose layers, my man gets a no frills barber shop cut. We both had appointments today and are very happy to support this local business. read more

George was great. I was a walk in and was handled quickly and the hair cut was perfect.

A real no BS barber, had never let me down. I've got some balding happening so if George can do my hair and make it look sharp he's going to do a great job for you. read more

Good local barber shop. Men's cut is only $15! Takes cash and credit cards and there is no credit card fee or minimum. Usually can walk-in and be seated in the barber's chair without wait. Parking lot is tight, but I always find a parking spot. Help support locally owned businesses! read more

Best inexpensive haircut in the area. George has been in the same location since 1997 and does a fine job. Give him a try.

Awesome hair cut. $15 haircuts are unheard of these days. Place is chill, but the parking lot which it shares is small.

Easy walk-ins. Got my boys haircuts on a Friday afternoon. No waiting and they were fast. Easy manner with the kids and did a great job. Kids were happy and they even got a lollipop. Can't do overpriced salon kid cuts. This is not a fancy place but does a good job at a great price. Will be back. read more

Go local! It's a no frills place. I usually go during the week, so there is never any wait. Both of the barbers are very friendly and they know what they are doing. I just love the atmosphere. Today, KOST was on the radio and it was a relaxed, low key vibe. My go to place for over two years now. read more

Friendly and fast. Very reasonable. I have been taking my 3 grandsons to George for years. He can cut any type of hair, also does perms and color. read more

George is the best! Great barber. Great service.

George is prettty good at cutting hair. If it were just him, I'd give this place 4 stars. Unfortunately, today I decided to let the lady there cut my hair. She was rude, rushed the haircut completely, and had a very unhappy face. It seemed like she was totally depressed and hated being there. Unprofessional and shouldn't have cut my hair if she didn't know what she was doing. It's not just about attitude: the haircut itself is totally uneven and strangely longer in random parts. There's a very simple solution to this problem: George, don't let her cut hair. Instead she could help with prepping clients with hair washes or something. That would not only elevate the experiences of the customers but also would've prevented this subpar haircut. This haircut is at best, 3 stars if you have no taste (meaning average), and 2 for most people, but the place gets 1 star because of the painfully depressed attitude during the entire procedure. Not a pleasant experience at all. And for anyone going to say something like "oh, it's your fault for letting her cut your hair." Well, she WORKS there so she should be able to cut my hair. Duh. read more

George and the team always do a great job, always friendly and chill, and the price is right!

Great haircut at a reasonable price. George and his lady stylist were very friendly and efficient.

My Son and I have had two consecutive cuts by George. We both are super happy with the way he cuts our hair. The second time I went to him he had remembered how I wanted it and just confirmed if I wanted it the same way! I read a review of him that says parking sucks. YES and NO! Ill explain why. This place is located in a shopping center that is shared with little caesars pizza. People park, get a pizza and walk out. Yes the parking gets full but all you need to do is wait one minute and bingo! read more

George's Cut - George is too cool! - Barbers Near Me - Los Angeles, California

I got a great haircut by the woman who works there. It was only $20 plus I paid an extra $5 for a shampoo because I think the best cut comes from just washed hair. Masks are required and it's clean and friendly. I normally pay about $50-75 elsewhere but I will go to George's again, since my cut was as good as the pricey places give. read more

I've been getting great haircuts from George himself. I opt to make an appointment in advance and prefer this though his place is a walk-in friendly place. He's a sweetheart and he cuts my hair really well; he's got a feel for it and leaves me with a flattering silhouette / shape too. I feel much more attractive when I leave his shop than when I arrive--this keeps me coming back like a fish to water!! Thank u Gevork!! read more

Our first hair cut and I am in love! Annie is the best, my kid is really hard to deal with when it comes to hair and she did it!! I still can't believe it! We are definitely coming back and highly recommend this place. read more

Ive been going to George since 2001. Back then I was living in Eaglerock. I moved 70 miles away but I still see him for haircut every month. Him and his staff are worth the travel. read more

George's is great. It was easy to walk in and get an appointment. George was very kind and helpful. He listened to what I said, and politely asked if he could take some license. When he asked, I felt in complete agreement so it was easy to let him do it. George told me a lot about himself, his training, and his history as a stylist and barber. I was moved by his story. And the haircut came out great too. It was a good fade and a little trim on the top. And all really affordable. Definitely check him out. read more

Yea! I've come out the other side after being sucked into the ridiculous wave of overpriced kid haircut mills. I mean seriously, $19 + tip every 6 or 7 weeks for a 3 year old boy?? C'mon. That's a mighty expensive way to earn a freakin' balloon. Enter George. I met him at a meeting a few weeks ago and he was so very nice. I took my boy and dropped in on him yesterday and the place is clean and a cheerful orange inside. George met us with a big smile and made us feel right at home. They even have a motorbike to sit on if that's important to your kid. Talia cut Bug's hair and it turned out great. Tootsie Pop at the end for his trouble. The cut only cost 9 bucks (plus tip). Hard to beat that. I can't comment on cuts for people taller than your hip but I'm so relieved to find a place where we can go and not be verbally abused and treated badly by people who are supposedly catering to kids. I mean, find another job if you can't hack it with the kiddies all day, okay? read more

I don't want to knock this place, they're very nice & accommodating - just a little Mom & Pop shop in a strip mall. But I will say my cuts have been very hit or miss here. The last time I went in I asked for a light trim & ended up with 5 new layers & 3 inches off the bottom. It will take months to grow it out. I think the key is to be *very* specific & make absolutely certain the stylist knows what you want. It seems like they're doing volume business & may not always tune in to the customer. If you're passive you might get whatever she feels like giving you. It's a great deal if you're not too fussy about your hair, but if you're picky like me I recommend shelling out an extra $20 bucks at a professional salon. read more

This place is absolutely everything anyone needs ... I'm a dude with long hair and they styled me up no problem both George and his wife are amazingly skilled and have clearly been at it for longer than I've been alive ... that's good enough for me ... always impressed and will continue to do business here ! Thanks for line up guys ! read more

Best cuts I've ever had. I've been coming here for the past 8 months and I'm loving the way I look every time I walk out of here. I've had the pleasure of having my hair cut by all 3 - I'm assuming there's 3 - barbers here and they've all been exceptional. Before coming here, I would go to "Kim Sun Young", a fancy Korean barber shop in Koreatown. Me, naturally being Korean, went to where other Koreans got their haircut. However, after some time, I got sick of how my haircuts did not come out the way I'd like. And the $20 +tip price tag didn't help. I get my haircuts at George's Cut for $12 +tip and I can confidently say that this is the best barber shop I've been to during my 23 years of life. I'm a customer for life. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. Let me preface this by saying this: DO NOT COME HERE, THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER HEALTH AND SAFETY. On 12/15/18, my younger brother came here to get a perm and that would prove to be a huge mistake! He got his perm done by George. He had gone here before and had no problem. George did his perm before as well, but this time when my brother came home, he was complaining that his neck was burning and it was itchy. His neck was inflamed and raw because his skin was chemically burned from the perm. He couldn't even move his neck because it was burned that bad. The next day, his neck was covered in scars from the chemical burns. He returned the following Monday and when confronted with the burns on his neck, the staff just denied that they were at fault and said the scars were there before he got the perm - unprofessional! My mother called again and they continued to deny that it was their fault. This is very very unprofessional behavior. I hope they realize the severity of this situation. I do not recommend that anyone comes here because they obviously do not care for the safety of their customers. read more

Solid haircut for the price. You're not gonna get an instagram fade but it's a good "in between haircut" if you're trying to save money. I've been going here for years and he's never raised his prices. George is a kind man and works hard for your business. Keep this place and other small businesses open during this pandemic! read more

I came here based on the other two Yelp reviews. I started out looking for a place to get my toddler's hair cut when the time comes. I figured I should try it out on myself first. It might not the be the hippest place, but George is really nice and cut my hair really well. I didn't make an appointment, but only had to wait 15 minutes or so. Oh and the price...it's only $12 for a man (11/09). I think I'm going to be a regular here. read more

These people are very good at what they do!! It doesn't seem like it at first because of the location but the quality of work they do for the price they charge is almost unreal to me. George and his staff will take care of you, and if you have hair like mine (mine is straight and pokey when short) they'll give you a good fade! I always ask for a 1/2 on the side and blend to the top, and even out the top. They're also super friendly and rarely ever get busy, so very minimal wait time! I do go early to mid afternoon on the weekdays though, I haven't tried the weekends. As a person who has been almost everywhere in SoCal and tried many different barbers, this is one place I can revisit and expect a great cut for a great price. (Which is 12 for men, and I tip at least 6) read more

I was in need of a haircut and the person that used to cut my hair had left L.A. I had been to other barbershops in Eagle Rock and I was ready to try a new shop. I read the reviews and George's Cut was a standout. I showed up exactly at opening time and George had his shop open on time. That's a good sign. He gave me a great cut at a great price. The service was friendly. He greeted everybody that came into the shop, unlike some other shops you can read about on Yelp. I'll definitely be back. read more

George gives the best haircut on the Eastside. An artist with a sure eye and a skillful hairstyling technique for men. Affordable prices.

Where do i start ; I have always got my hair cut at Georges cut . George and the staff are very friendly, the price is right, and they have a great waiting area with cold water nearby. I have always gotten my hair cut by George and he knows me by my first name and knows how my haircut is done every time and is detailed and I couldnt ask for a better job ; look forward to seeing you soon george :) read more

I was here months ago with my fiance to get a haircut once. Came back the second time and was greeted by George. Everyone that works here is incredibly friendly and take pride in their work. The old lady gave me the worst hair cut ever. She really messed it up . I don't know if she was having a bad day but don't let it out on me. My wife was giving her suggestions how to cut my hair and she did the opposite way. Totally unprofessional n her part. I usually give her 5 dollars tip, What's up with the attitude!? I'll never come back here again. Fair warning to everybody! read more

The place lacks in cleanliness, the hair cut over all by George is ok. For us men who like clean fades this is not the place for us. Disappointed with my cut, even after reading the reviews! read more

George always hooks me up with my hair and he's been doing it for a long time. The reason this place doesn't get a four star is because its prices have gone up from $9 to $12. I also am disappointed that he got rid of his cards, in which he would stamp a card for each time you went and then after 10 visits you get a free hair cut. Overall, I will continue to get my hair cut here until I find a barber shop that charges less. read more

The parking lot is terrible, but this being said, the barbers here are terrific if you like your hair cut short and neat. The price for a men's cut is good and competitive with the other places along Eagle Rock Blvd. read more
