Very rude. Got yelled at to sit down in front of my 5 and 3 year old. Very unprofessional to yell at customers and in front of kids. I also was told "it was my problem" not his when I said I wanted more of a fade for my son. This place has been here forever. I don't gat haircuts from here, but my dad has been for years (as long as I could remember). Their price has been consistent all throughout and it is very reasonable for a great service and environment. They actually recently did a renovation of the place, so it looks more neat while keeping the traditional barbershop look! Ever since I got a haircut here, I've been coming back whenever I'm in the area to visit friends...and I live in Philly! The reason why is because of one thing: attention to detail. Young Mi Is the only barber I know who actually examined my hair and head and gave me the haircut I wanted while taking into account my head shape, direction of hair growth, and the fact that my Asian hair is wiry. The reference in an earlier review to this barber's English proficiency is so wrong and uncalled for that it prompted me to finally join Yelp. The earlier review is simply wrong factually and unjustified. The vulgarity ... well, it reveals something about the commenter but nothing about this outstanding barber and his shop. . George has cut my hair since 2008 and I look forward to every visit. He is exceptionally smart and well-informed. I believe he has lived in the U.S. since the 1960s but he retains a charming Argentinian accent. Notwithstanding the accent, he clearly speaks and understands English better than most native born Americans. George is not just a bright guy; he is an outstanding barber. I was a regular customer at an award-winning Georgetown hair salon for more than 10 years before I discovered George. My hair is not the easiest to cut because it develops curves and waves as it gets longer, which is the way I prefer to keep it. George does a fantastic job and he does it consistently ... at about half the cost of what I used to pay. I've not had my hair cut by either of George's two colleagues, but my sons have and they received excellent, good-looking cuts. Visiting from out of town and my boyfriend needed a haircut really bad! They did an amazing job, great price, and the owner is super friendly! She knew exactly what he needed without him even telling her. He has straight hair that sticks out in the back so it needs a close cut in the back while keeping the front longer. The owner knew just that and cleaned him up real nice. Highly recommend and very reasonable price for the area! read more

I strolled in yesterday in bad need of a trim. Traffic was light because of the "storm" that morning, so I got George himself! Nice atmosphere, 5 chairs for haircuts and a few for those waiting. Good selection of mens magazines (Golf, Gun and Garden, fishing, Men's Fitness). Good conversation and a decent haircut, complete with a straight blade shave of the back of my neck.
