While the Lights are beautuful, the overall experience is disappointing. Even though its timed entry tickets, it is crowded as you must follow a specific path that is single file most of the way. A lot of the path is not well lit and very uneven. Staff randomly positioned to keep you out of closed areas were not friendly. Seemed almost identical to prior year. I doubt we will visit next year.

However, the rooftop level is basically NEVER open (they close it if they feel a rain drop or the winds blow more than 3 mph), it is hot and humid on the second and third floors, the women processing you to enter are extremely slow, and this museum becomes incredibly crowded! I would recommend they sell tickets for two hour blocks or windows in order to keep the crowds down and to avoid lines of kids waiting to play with every single thing in the building

The docent-lead tour, which is the only way you get to see the interior of the home and cabin, was informative and allows you to get a glimpse into how life was for the family and how they were a part of the Civil War. The grounds are beautiful with flowers, fruit trees, and a natural spring near by and has free parking. This tour is a part of a block ticket you can get for $10 and also visit Gen. Stonewall Jackson's home and Gen. George Washington's Headquarters all located in the same general downtown area.

Liz our guide greeted us and collected the $10 fee per person. It's not a big house but it is frozen in time when Patsy was there. Lots of pictures and artifacts from her life. Loved the salt & pepper shakers collection. The upstairs is a single bedroom and they only had half bath. A cute gift shop in the kitchen area. A must visit for any fan of Patsy Cline. Down the block is a new amphitheater/park that is going to be dedicated to her. Her burial site is 3 miles down the road.

Winchester was a central part of the entire War of Northern Aggression. The guide indicated that the city changed hands 72 times during the war. Lots of guns, bullets, shells, and memorabilia. Large rooms, easy to see all the formations in the walkways are easy to pass through. Quite a few steps for those who are challenged to do physical walking but otherwise it's pretty cool.
