A cosy, family-run Turkish restaurant which is an offshoot of the very popular and award-winning Faversham Kebab House. They serve a classic range of hot and cold mezes, kebabs and grills.
The restaurant comprises a single room with banquettes and tables either side. Tables have classic white linen table settings.
We managed to secure a table on a Saturday evening, but we would recommend booking. There was one waiter working the whole restaurant, which he did incredibly efficiently, but also gave good advice on the menu itself.
I ordered the mixed vegetarian meze starters for one, which turned out to be a full meal in itself. These came served with their own flatbread. They included stuffed vine leaves, Hummus, yoghurt with spinach and yoghurt with mint, imam bayaldi (smoked aubergine in tomato sauce), a very spicy tomato dip with harrissa and tabbouleh.
My partner had a yoghurt dip flavoured with mint, followed by the mixed grill. This included grilled chicken, Lamb, pork and beef. This was served with bulgur wheat, yoghurt, and a spicy Harissa sauce.
With two beers and service, the total came to £50.
Given they were so busy, service was excellent throughout. We would cheerfully return. read more
