My and my wife went to the George for breakfast on a whim one morning.
I went for the large while she went for the small. We only ordered one coffee and an orange juice.
It was very tasty and not too small for the money, the only change I would make would be beans on the small breakfast.
The food came quickly and was hot, it all tasted delicious for a pub level of quality. The bacon was too salty for my tastes but I prefer food with less salt so it might be fine for others. The ketchup was not Heinz as well.
The price was £6 for the large and £4 for the small breakfast, a good price even though it didn't include drinks. The total was under £14
Internet access is free and quick but kicks you off after 30 minutes. No signal on 3 though so you would probably miss calls if you wanted to do some work here.
The decor is traditional pub and gives a warm feeling to the building. There are real fires but they were not lit when we were there, not surprising for breakfast time though.
This was a return visit for us and we will visit this pub again. read more
