It's a traditional English pub with plenty of seating and a good assortment of locally-sourced food options. When I asked about my gluten allergy, they did everything possible to make sure my meal didn't contain gluten. They even had gluten-free bread! All the food was delightful, and the staff were amazing. Even the owner of the pub waited on us and chatted with us for a bit. Historically, this pub has been around for hundreds of years. Recently, the pub faced closure, but the community was able to raise the money to keep the pub from closing. Thousands of pounds raised in 48 hours! Impressive. Now the pub is owned by the village, and is open to the public. If you're in the area, definitely drop by for some delightful food, drink and friendly service.

The total was under £14 Internet access is free and quick but kicks you off after 30 minutes. No signal on 3 though so you would probably miss calls if you wanted to do some work here. The decor is traditional pub and gives a warm feeling to the building. There are real fires but they were not lit when we were there, not surprising for breakfast time though. They also have a pet's barn so whilst waiting for the food you can take the children in there to pet the animals. One of the best burgers I've had in a long time. Served with a choice of either fries or chunky wedges (think roast potato wedges and you'll get the idea). The cafe makes its own hot sauces and strawberry jams, all of which you should try if you get a chance as they're all scrumptious. You can even buy jars of the sauces to take home. Service is warm & friendly and you're made to feel incredibly welcome the second you walk in the door to the moment you leave. If you're on the lookout for something a bit more genuine and satisfying than what the nearby commercial chains can offer this is the place!
