George even fixed a nasty squeak in the bedroom floorboards that had been annoying us for years. As for pricing, we did secure other bids and felt the Babb's bid was fair, if not a bit more favorable that other estimates. I just had floors installed by George Babb Flooring and they turned out beautifully and it was a very pleasant learning experience working with the father and son team. They are knowledgeable, trustworthy, reliable and the price was fair. I cannot say enough about the craftsmanship, they put their hearts into their business and what they do. There were a few unexpected bumps with my subflooring that they had to replace a section from water damage and level a section of concrete, but because of their expertise it barely even slowed the project and they charged me very fairly for the extra work. I highly recommend George Babb flooring and cannot thank them enough for turning my very ugly floors into absolutely beautiful new ones. My experience with George Babb and his son, George Babb Jr., involved working on installing laminate flooring and baseboards in a duplex owned by my mom, which she wanted to get ready to sell in Enumclaw, WA. I am a licensed professional real estate professional in Kansas, so I traveled up to help my mom navigate the details and work on flipping these units. As a Realtor and a homeowner, I have dealt with many contractors--so let me tell you, this experience working with George Babb and his son was THE VERY BEST experience I have EVER had in dealing with contractors. Their attention to detail, from quote to install to clean-up, was the most exceptional I have ever experienced. The job spanned 10 days, and the end result was stunning! They were considerate even when they had to work around another contractor installing counter tops, and were flexible when needed. They hauled away all debris and stacked their tools and materials neatly at end of each day. Their work ethic was the best I have ever seen, showing up early and working hard all day, every day, completing the job to fit our timeline. George and George also went above and beyond, noticing that the guys who delivered the appliances had not left room for the counter guy to install edge trim, so George cut carpet strips to fit under the new oven feet so when the counter guy needed to move the range, it would be easy to slide out without damaging the new flooring. They are easy to get a hold of when you have questions and were very helpful when we struggled figuring out if we could make laminate flooring work on our hodge podge of a 106 year old house. They were both kind to our overly-people-obsessed Golden Retrievers (which means a lot as our pups are like our kids). A couple months after installation, we had some carpet pulling up from the threshold where the vinyl ends and carpet begins. We called on a Saturday, left a message and within 30 minutes received a call back saying they would come the following Monday to take care of it for us. George Jr and Sr were great to work with. I didn't know what I was doing and George Sr basically held my hand through the process. We had picked out some product and he kindly coaxed us into looking into different flooring at another flooring place. (DelMar in South Center WA) Thank goodness we did because the product was so much better than what we had picked out from Home Depot. Babb Flooring took out and removed our carpet and linoleum and put down 1700 sq of LVP and new baseboards.The George's were prompt, pleasant, and professional. The greatest thing was their work.
