I have been a customer since 2018. When I bought and renovated my NYC office, my electrician installed an alarm system with monitoring. After a few years, he retired and no one bought his business. I tried for weeks to find someone to take over the monitoring but no one could/would. I did a search and found Geoarm in Florida. Not only were they willing to take over the monitoring for a fair and reasonable price, but they were able to remotely transfer all of the data to their system without a visit and without a charge! For years, Ralph, Kevin and Sal were able to help me when small issues arose with my system (never an issue with the monitoring) often for free and always via remote assistance. I ultimately bought a home that had ADT monitoring with some broken parts and non-functioning monitoring. ADT came out and told me the entire system would need to be replaced; that it could not be relocated as I requested; and they offered a steep monthly monitoring charge determined in part, by the value of the surrounding homes in the neighborhood. Immediately, I changed to Geoarm. They were able to address all of the issues remotely including problems that arose from ADTs improper installation. They were able to offer me dual modality wifi/cellular communication as backup to the issues I had with the existing communicator. When sensors went bad in the old system, GeoArm was able to help me find and install new wireless ones remotely, and help get them working with the system. Despite my receiving "all of the codes and programming and master codes" from the prior owner, I did not have one of the necessary codes. Geoarm was able to remotely find this and share it with me when my in-person alarm repair person/electrician could not. Geoarm provides old-world, knowledgeable, professional, prompt and friendly service ---something you can rarely find today. And, they do it at fair and reasonable prices. In most places, you can't find this kind of knowledge and service regardless of the price you might be willing to pay. Don't hesitate. Choose GEOARM. You will not be sorry. read more

Horrible! Their advertised "30-minute easy setup" translated to the equipment not connecting to Wifi. I wasted hours watching their stupid and unhelpful videos and finally called their tech support only to be left in the phone queue for an hour. I gave up and decided to order the security system from a different company, which did indeed easily connect to my Wifi. Costly mistake: GeoArm refuses to take the equipment back without a 25% "restocking fee." So I'm out $60 for the return shipment plus $230 for their effing fee, all for the pleasure of wasting half a day of my time. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM! Edited to add: There is no confusion with a different company. What's advertised on the front page is a "30-day free trial" and you only learn about the outrageous "restocking fee" when you need to return their stuff. The worst alarm company. -Received equipment two months after I ordered!! A extra large box with all equipment loose, NO packing, No original box inside a box like they require in their 30 alleged return policy. -NO instructions at all -Missing an overpriced camera which I found out from tech support the system only handles 6 not 8 cameras!!!!! 75% of CO detectors died in 24 hours and after multiple resets=failed PIR sensors died in less than 90 days with little to no activity of course that is when they stayed in position[none did without additional support.] --The best part is NO doorbell or camera could be added until tech support told the monitor unit! WTH +The only item that lasted over six months was the door monitors! LOL -Rip off prices e.g. $75 for a CO detector the system could not even monitor! $30 on amazon that works! read more

Technical support staff is generally good and helpful when setting up and troubleshooting a system. Alarm monitoring is reliable. But dealing with general customer service and other departments is a mess. Accounting and billing is especially hard to contact and can be unpleasant when you finally reach them. read more

Terrible customer service. Had a debit card problem that took 30 days to resolve. Get an email that says this is my final notice to pay my bill before the shit off the service. I call in, 2 hours after the email was received, and was told the service has been terminated and I need to pay a 40 dollar fee. Was a customer since 2009 - the company was always understanding and reasonable to talk too. Steve (operations manager), treats people like they are evil and not trustworthy. Guess what steve - without customers you don't have a job! Other providers offer monitoring at half the price of Geoarm. Search around...the company so not what it was. read more

I have been a Geoarm customer for almost 10 years now and my neighbor. has been a customer for about 5 years. Whenever there has been an alarm there has always been a quick response. I recently replaced my neighbor's obsolete communicator with the newer Alarmnet communicator, and I was fortunate enough to have Sal S. as my assigned Tech Support engineer. He was extremely courteous, attentive and helpful. He worked with me until he and I both were satisifed that the system was properly set up. I have talked to him before when updating my communicator and if he is representative of the rest of the Geoarm employees their business will likely continue growing. Hello Blake(?), the last note wasn't signed, but I think it's you. I'm not trying to remediate, but rather give an honest review of my experience with your company. I should not have been charged because you refused service, and therefore you have no cause to charge me. Plain and simple, GeoArm is misleading customers, and your GM is one rude person. There is no sugar coating this because it's (unfortunately) just true. You should state in bold, unambiguous ways that you charge for ANY service, which is what is actually happening. Your sales rep, then tech rep, said you'd program the unit if I purchased kit from you. So I did, and you have programmed the unit this way many times. I've previously posted glowing reviews about GeoArm, thusly. Low monthly service fees and buy parts from you and easy. BUT THIS IS NOT WHAT YOUR COMPANY DID. The tech rep "couldn't find" the invoice for the 3 CO sensors. This isn't credible that you lost my invoice in a few weeks of purchase. Then after sending proof, me to GeoArm, he still couldn't service my account. Speaking to the extraordinarily rude GM, he said the panel wasn't purchased from you (true) and THAT was the reason to charge me $75 for 3-5 minutes work. No reasonable person would consider this behavior acceptable. It's bold-faced goal post changing, misleading, IN THE BEST CASE, FROM THE GENERAL MANAGER, who incidentally refused to give me his full name? Hmm, why not? I'll be happy to post favorable reviews when the experience is favorable. Yelp and other online reviews give your customers an opportunity to give feed back, when you won't listen to friendlier feedback. I tried that initially, and amped up seriousness proportionately to your policy and GM rudeness. If your business model IN FACT is you charge for ANY service, say that and let us voluntarily and give your customers opportunity to consensually agree to that. But misleading us, isn't cool. After using you in a way that you previously DID service, and then in "real-time" change the rules to achieve an outcome, well, I think your customers and prospective ought to hear that. The technical staff at GeoArm was very friendly and helpful during the initial installation and spared no effort in helping me setup the system correctly. Over the years, I contacted them several times to test the system and make configuration changes. Each time I was impressed with their empathy, kindness, and professional skills. On several occasions they called me on their own initiative to find if I need further assistance. This is OUTSTANDING SERVICE. With an alarm system, reliability is crucial. Garbage service. Can't follow basic calling instructions. We incurred emergency services false alarm fees because this company cannot follow instructions that say NEVER DISPATCH emergency services. Terrible experience. Canceled contract because their central station kept using the wrong calling protocol. Their failure to follow instructions cost us $100's in false alarm bills from the police department. Worst company ever. I bought a complete alarm system from these people. It never arrived. I called their shipping dept for a tracking number. I was on hold for 94 minutes and no one ever answered (just an endless recording that someone would be with me shortly). I called again the next day and wasted another 35 mins on hold. Finally on another day, I reached a guy named Steve. He checked and said no order was even pending for me. THEY NEVER EVEN TOOK MY ORDER!!! This is the worst alarm company in America. These folks are snakes. They have the most onerous means of cancelling service. They require you to submit a Cancellation Form online. After filling out the form, the Submit button changes to "Please wait ..." indefinitely. You have no idea if service has been cancelled. Their billing department has to decide if you can cancel or not. If they decide that it's not the right time for you to cancel, they will bill you again the following month & claim that you'd not given them 30 day notice in order to cancel. And they will charge you again & demand payment. read more

TL:DR EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE and LONG lead times. If it says "up to 15 days" that actually means "you should expect it on exactly the 15th business day, no sooner" because they don't even work on it until the last minute to reach that 15 business day (22 calendar days) mark exactly. On September 24th I placed an order for a 2GIG-LTEV1-A-GC2 for $103.27. It was "less expensive" than a few places, but then when they added in the $15.17 for shipping it ends up being more than many others. So a total of $118.44, but I decided to give them a shot anyway. Yes, I did notice the part on their website that says "may take UP TO 15 business days". But that at least IMPLIES it could be there sooner. Today I called into get tracking information, figuring that surely it would have been shipped out only to find out it has not even shipped yet. I asked to talk to the manager and "Elliot" said he was the shipping manager. I asked if they could get it out sooner and he said "no". I asked if they had an expedite process and he said "no". I asked if this was really how they did business and that I wanted to make sure because I would be leaving a bad review and he got all offended that I didn't EXPECT it to take 15 days. I told him that yeah, I know it said that, but that is usually a placeholder and that stuff usually goes out faster than the boilerplate lingo at most places, but he said that they don't even start working on them until the end when they can get it out to GET THERE by the 15th. So my ordered wasn't even worked on yet. So I went on Nelly Securities website and put in an order that will be here before theirs would have, it will be here Monday 10-13-20 (2 days faster than Geoarm ordered on 9-24-20) AND cost less, saving $16 overall. So I called back in to cancel my other order. Sal, was friendly and said he would get it taken care of. I then asked to talk to a manager or if there was an email I could send a complaint and Sal said he could get me to his GM. I got on the phone with "Steve" the GM who immediately went on the defensive and said he "sat right next to Elliot and that he was right, if the site says 15 business days I shouldn't expect it to be there until the 15th business day". I tried to reason with him, I tried to explain that the "up to" part implies that more often it gets there sooner, but it seems like this company has a HUGE issue of not accepting fault for any negatives. So I told him I would leave this review, factual as it may be. It was obvious he did not care about trying to get the issue addressed or getting the order, a tiny little chip that weighs like 3 oz., and he did not care that I was unhappy as a customer. So I can't tell you, the potential customer what to do, but I can say what I will do and that is I will NEVER purchase or do any business with Geoarm ever again. My SUGGESTION would be to read the reviews, something I failed to do this time around, and look how many specifically mention POOR customer service and LONG shipping times. And lastly, for Geoarm directly, do better. That's it, DO BETTER. You reply to these negative comments that you "want to do better" and your "trying to do better", but it is OBVIOUS you are not successful in those attempts and let's be honest, are you really trying? If you don't plan on working on shipping it out until the last minute to meet your "up to 15 business days" then just change it to "at least 15 days" or "most likely 15 business days because we don't even start working the order until just before it's supposed to be there". With management like yours, I can see it is a top down issue, not the other way around. Is that an honest enough review for you? read more

I had to do an upgrade of a complicated, obsolete system in the house we bought in Nashville. The tech from GeoArm did a truly outstanding job of working through problems we encountered while activating it. I appreciated his knowledge, skill and patience. I made the mistake of ordering from this place online, initially it seemed positive. I got a call a day later to confirm technical details and then once everything was settled I was told "it would ship as fast as humanly possible". Well, a week goes by and I get an automated email titled "Shipping Update" saying "We will be notifying you asap with your tracking number upon shipping.". Another week goes by, accompanied by the same "Shipping Update" email. Another week goes by with another email. I try submitting a contact through their web form and hear nothing. I call and get transferred around and leave a message, and someone was supposed to call me back "shortly". I didn't hear back, so I open a dispute with my credit card company...who also has been unable to get GEOARM to respond. Another week goes by with another email. Another week goes by with another email. Here I am with 5 "shipping update" emails (6+ weeks since they charged me) and no product on hand, though they happily charged my credit card the day the order was placed. Today (Thursday) I call again and they promise me "oh, its scheduled to ship out on Monday". read more

My total experience with Geoarm lasted about 12hrs. Signed up for service, called to configure the alarm system and was told my qolsys IQ 2 panel would only work over cellular, not dual-path as advertised both on Qolsys's documentation and on Geoarm's own website. Flat out told it wasn't possible, despite the fact it 100% is possible and is the design for every modern alarm system. They refused to refund the purchase, claiming it "was policy", and we had to go to the credit card company to fix it. Just find someone else. I doubt they stand behind their products and services at all. read more

They have extremely long hold times, I was never able to get someone on the phone. They also never responded to my email request. Their youtube video are great to learn about the system but their lack of communication left me disappointed. They don't stock anything and takes them 10 days to even put the items into a box and send them to you. After leaving a negative review a representative called and help expedite the order. read more

We've been customers for several years and love the savings going DIY. We've had a few false alarms and the call backs were very timely as well. We are moving into a new house and will buy a new system and go with Geoarm again when we move. However, customer service could use a facelift. I called to check on shipping of my order that I placed a week ago. I called to get tracking, and they said it was hung up with Amazon payments. I asked if anyone was going to notify me and they said to take it up with Amazon. Would have been nice to know that there was even a problem. Next I called to cancel service at my existing home. They informed me of the form to fill out online (no problem). As I pulled it up, I noticed I needed my account number (who honestly remembers that?). I asked him to pull it up for me and I got a giant SIGH, then he pulled it up for me. If it was just one guy, I'd give is a pass, but the general attitude that "this should not be my problem" went across departments. I will say that when I've had to interact with the tech support in the past, they have been most helpful. Overall, its a solid way to go, but you just need to be ready to give the customer service guys a little grace. read more

I cannot rate this company based on their quality of service regarding monitoring, but I will rate them on equipment ordering/shipping quality. I recently ordered an outdoor camera from GeoArm and the shipping speeds are horrendous. There are two or more dozen other companies out there that will ship products within a few days, maybe a week tops. By contrast, GeoArm explicitly says it will take up to 15 days before they even put your item in the mail... Don't be fooled. They will take every minute of those 15 days to mail your item. You will receive no email communication, no status update, or exception to this policy. I will go to another company in the future to order my products that will actually ship them more expeditiously. It's 2020, not 1820... this company needs to get with the times. read more

I submitted an order for a alarm system for my apartment in November with Geo Arm. It did take over a month to be shipped and I had to keep calling about the shipment dates, however it finally came through. The technician that I worked with to set up my alarm, his name is Ralf (Rafael). He is by far the most pleasant employee that I've spoken to while dealing with Geo Arm. I had made three previous calls about shippping and another call about tech-support in search of what I needed to schedule the tech appointment. And again Ralph surpassed the customer service from the previous employees that I had spoken to. It is so refreshing to have a wonderful customer service experience especially since I got the 6 AM California time appointment. Ralf is the true example of putting the customer first as he said his motto is "make it as easy as possible for the customer ". I agree Ralf and that you did! So thank you so much Ralf for the pleasant experience, it is much appreciated! Keep up the good work! As far as the security alarm system goes, it is very simple and easy to set up. I utilized their videos that they provide for customers to do it yourself and they are very helpful. I would strongly recommend you to view those if you decide to go with Geo Arm. My next step is to get a couple of the security cameras and have them set up with Geo Arm as well so I am looking forward to getting those up and running as well! read more

I really can't say enough good things about the support I have received over the years. Every time I have called in, I have received uniformly cheerful, expert help. I do all of the hands-on work on my system. So when I call in, I am usually "deep in the woods". I think of myself as their worst nightmare. But they never make me feel that way. I've only recently set up service and everyone I spoke to were more than helpful. Turned my ADT cellular to landline. I was able to do it with the instructions given to me over the phone. They were extremely patient while I spliced wires, dropped tools, etc. I was able to successfully set up with the help of technicians. Good experience so far!! read more

Brad F. helped me figure out the panel and sensors to get that work for my home and helped me figure out how to keep all of my existing sensors working. You can't get better service than that anywhere when it comes to security systems! Supposedly I was to receive technical support with the monthly monitoring. Well when you call they just tell you you have to get somebody local.
