Walked in with my two boys on the off chance of maybe getting an appointment. Well they had three and all three of us got our haircuts that day. Atmosphere was amazing and service was amazing. My boys are very particular about their hair and they got exactly what they asked for. We're were all very satisfied with the work done. I recommend Gentleman's Cuts to anyone that's looking for a great haircut. They are very reasonably priced as well. I've paid close to $60 for some haircuts in the past but none of them even came close to the one I got at the Gentleman's Cuts. read more

She put her comb in my mouth when she trimmed my mustache, because I love hand germs from combs in my mouth. She didn't even comb out my beard when she trimmed it, leaving it bushy and uneven. A whole 20 minutes later after my style-less haircut, I was ready to get out of there and will never go back. Go to a real barbershop. There are plenty of better options in the area. read more

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW THE OWNERS ARE PSYCHOPATHS WHO'LL THREATEN YOUR LIFE To give some backstory: Since temporarily moving to the area, I had been coming here because my regular barber was too far of a drive. I was getting mediocre haircuts but sucked it up because it saved me the drive and from going somewhere like great clips. Several weeks ago, I was running behind because of recent construction/traffic, but figured it shouldn't be an issue because my haircut is very easy and I don't require a wash. I arrived to a totally empty parking lot and lobby only to be told by the male (who I'll refer to as "Casey") that works the front desk that he doesn't want to rush his hairstylist. I reiterate that I won't take long at all and that the place is completely empty but he refuses. So I say "that's fine, I won't be coming back here again" and go home and leave a review (you can read below) which I have every right to do. Several days later, I set up an appointment with Hair Saloon for Men (right down the street) after being recommended by a friend and get EXCELLENT, top of the line service. While I was there I mention my incident at Gentlemen Cuts and my hairstylist informs me that "Casey" is known for being very aggressive and threatening toward customers and they had been leaving in droves because of that. I could definitely see that being the case but not thinking much of it, I leave a generous tip to the nice lady and leave. Several weeks later (today) I get called by a NO CALLER ID number. Curious as to who it might be, I answer and realize it's "Casey". He proceeds to threaten me to change my review or else he'll "kick my ass" and "f*ck me up". That means he saw my review from several weeks ago, looked up my information and THREATENED ME to change the review or he'd come beat me up. I immediately go to the Fairview Police Department and file a report that this business is threatening my life over a review. The officer goes over there and "Casey" proceeds to tell the officer that he "simply wanted to help correct my experience" and that *I* was the one who somehow threatened him. The officer then tells me that because he used a hidden number to call me from and no recording, they could do nothing about the situation, but that I had every right to post any review I wanted and to go down other avenues to deal with this business. And indeed that will be the case. Other avenues are currently being approached because this man/business cannot keep getting away with threatening people's lives over reviews. AVOID IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE. These people are PSYCHOPATHS. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Do NOT trust these older reviews. TERRIBLE haircuts but even worse service. Avoid at all cost. Unfortunately, you're better off going to a chain place like sports clips or cutting your own hair than spending a dime here. read more

Only takes appointments. Went in on a Saturday at 3pm and no one was at the front desk. 2 people came in after us until someone finally came out to tell us they won't have availability until Monday. Only one hairstylist was there cutting someone's hair. How is this place even stay open? It lost 3 customers in a 10 minute span. read more

Worst experience I've ever had with a business. I went in 45 mins before closing to the location that just opened on 159 in Fairview Heights. There was only 2 cars in the parking lot and one man waiting in the lobby with his 2 kids. A girl came to the desk, very unapproachable and not welcoming what so ever. I told her I just wanted a cut and wash. Nothing fancy. She looks at her computer awkwardly, doesn't do anything on it, then says "I don't think we have time." I asked if this was an appointment only place, she said "no we take walks ins too" Not sure I understand why a brand new business would open and hire unfriendly staff who turn away clients like that. I would've been in there twice a month if this experience was good, but it was the opposite. Not off to a good start Gentlemen Cuts of Fairview Heights. went there Monday 21 May. I believe Nicole trimmed my hair. I asked for a full cut but got a trim and barely anything taken off. They wet your hair down and comb it out real nice so you don't realize until after you leave and your hair drys that the cut you thought you got was barely a trim. Will not return. read more
