Jodi on the front desk staff has been rude, cold, and passive aggressive. Jodi gets very defensive and blunt when I would verify my billing questions with her. The billing situation is bad, they add credit card fees, steep no show fees inside of 48 hours, and don't work with you on bills. Jodi is always incredibly passive aggressive that I did not partake in their text reminders, because when I did I was bombarded with text blasts. I strongly suggest that anyone who goes here double check every line of their bill. When I asked to speak directly with the dentist about my concerns, Jodi brushed me off and refused to connect me, which made the whole experience even more frustrating. With a standing disagreement on one bill, and the inability to speak directly to the owner of the business, they dropped me as a patient within less than a month of being seen. Also if you're a parent you should know they take pictures of all the kids that go to their practice and post them for anybody to see, I feel as though that is not a safe practice for the local neighborhood. The whole experience still leaves me feeling taken advantage of and completely disrespected. I would never recommend this place to anyone if they have to talk to Jodi. If you care about being treated decently and not getting nickel and dimed for everything, stay away from Brimhall Dentistry.

He and his team are welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable in the field. Dr. Bender recommended having a cavity filling / replacement done of my old silver fillings. I've had the silver fillings since I was a kid and I was hesitant on getting work done especially with a new dentist. Upon my request, Dr. Bender took the time to explain everything that he recommended over email and the reasoning for his recommendations. It made sense so I went for my replacement appointment. As a child, I've had some aggressive dentists - but this time, I barely felt the needle for the numbing injection. The filling was seamless and I even got to watch Netflix during the appointment! The appointment was done in about 50 mins for one filling. It was very quick and it turns out I was nervous for no reason at all. :) Not to mention, the new white filling looks great. The office definitely lives up to the "Modern" name and I noticed they are currently working on renovating other parts of the office space. Everything was clean and well kept. They wasted my time at both appointments, as if I didn't have work or other responsibilities. The lack of professionalism, communication, and compassion was extremely disappointing.

I even changed my insurance to be able to check this place out! I absolutely was not disappointed. Plenty of parking available in the shared lot with other businesses in the building. The office is very inviting, clean, and organized. The staff has been top notch throughout all of my communication and visits so far. Major shout out to Jenna, who went out of her way to welcome me, learn about my needs/anxieties, and make sure that I felt at home and safe. She even offered local recommendations since I'm newer to the area. My favorite part of the visit was that they offered a menu of items to make me feel more comfortable in the chair! I chose a stress ball for this visit, but might choose additional items on future cleanings! Why not make it feel like a spa visit? HUGE shout-out to my hygienist, Eriel!! She was probably one of the best hygienists I've ever had. She was non-judgemental, sweet, kind, explanatory, and made sure I was doing well and comfortable throughout the visit. We had great conversation, and I felt like she had genuine interest in making sure I was in a good spot. I'd highly recommend her! Dr. Heidi Smith, was also very friendly and helpful during my exam! Lastly, I think they did an amazing job of being upfront and honest about cost throughout my visit. Anything not covered by insurance was very clearly articulated and I felt like I had full control of whether or not I said yes or no to the options. It is a great feeling especially for the kids. The dental work is top notch. I had 3 fillings filled recently and my mouth was numb afterwards so I worried about my bite being off. I had this issue a few years ago with another Dentist and spent a lot of time in pain. The doc said to come back after a day or so if there is pain. There is no pain. The job was done so well that I didn't need to come back. I appreciate that especially with the busy schedules. I have had caps, cavities, and routine work done here and it has been done professionally, quickly, and correctly. The office will also give you options on care and what can be done now or later. They are not out to make a quick buck but out to do what you want as a patient. I have always been given alternatives, I like that.

I got a crown and a cleaning, and I'm very happy with my crown (so far). The cons, however, are... - They wrote down my birthday incorrectly, which at first was hilarious because I was flattered that they thought I was 18 yo. But then I was concerned that they wrote down the month, day AND year incorrectly. - After receiving my Novocain injection before applying my new crown, the Dr. left the room to let it set in. Several minutes later, I got up and looked around to give the hint like "hey, I'm still in here, let's get this show on the road". FFwd to 40+ freakin minutes later! The Dr. returned and said there was an emergency, which is understandable, but someone could have told me while I waited impatiently, instead of just blinking at me when I poked me head out of the room. - After paying, I asked the receptionist if I could have a toothbrush... and she said no! Even though they just got hundreds of dollars out of my new crown, they couldn't spare a toothbrush (only after I got a cleaning, she said). Jeez. - When I still did end up coming back for a cleaning (and finally my toothbrush hehe), the dental assistant scraped my teeth SO aggressively that I asked her to stop. Oof. TL;DR My teeth are clean and my crown is holding up, but I experienced some really bizarre service!

It took forever for them to call my name when my appointment was at 3:00 I didn't get done til 4:00 something. Also they told me their computers crashed so they lost all my information.
