I loved that they were able to give me my "to do" list for all the stuff my teeth needed. I was very pleased with one of the team members there, Fateemah, who cleaned my teeth and gave me a lot of tips on how to keep my teeth and gums healthy. I found out she moved to a different state, thus my journey for a hygienist began... On 07/08/2020, I came to this office to get my teeth cleaned. I was greeted by the receptionists with smiles, I'll assume they were smiles since masks are required in the office, hint hint. I also wanted to get a slight pain checked out from a nearby area close to a crown I had put in. I was seen by Fateemah, as she was kind enough to keep me updated on where she moved. Since they are part of the Smiles Generation network, getting my info back and forth with North Decatur Dentistry was pretty easy. She cleaned my teeth thoroughly once again, and congratulated me on my progress. I didn't get a star sticker but healthier teeth is just as good for me. I was then seen by Dr Egan who was very pleasant and knowledgeable as she was pretty quick to diagnose my pain. She made a slight adjustment to my crowns in hopes that it would help with the occasional pain I'd have. She also told me what other work I needed, but since my time is short here, I'll be getting that work done back in Atlanta. All in all, I had a great experience at this office. It's hard to find an amazing hygienist, so if you visit this office, I recommend you see Fateemah! If her manager or the regional manager sees this, please know she's that good that someone traveled out of state just for a cleaning! The staff were are all great too!

Went back there and was told that after my insurance coverage I was liable for over $ 3000 a total ripoff. I walked out ! This company should be out of the map. It's highway robbery at it's best !

It was a long procedure and the dentist and his assistance checked in with me multiple times to see how I was doing and helping me to be comfortable. Initially the front office had told me that they would not be able to verify my insurance because it was the weekend (and even suggested that I might come back the next day), but when the crown procedure was diagnosed and recommended they were able to verify the insurance (which covered 50 percent of the cost). Very glad to have landed in this office and might choose to use them for non-emergency dental work as well.

I left my last dentist because she does not accept Medicare Advantage. I do have gum disease, however, my pockets have been holding steady at 5's for the last 20 years. Is it a coincidence that within one year of seeing this hygienist, my pockets have all of the sudden increased to 7's? I guess I'll never know the answer to that. My last appointment with them was for a cleaning in October of 2024. During this appointment Yer Lee (the hygienist), pierced my lower lip with her dental tools. It took approximately 1 1/2 weeks for the swelling to go down. Her reaction to the piercing was: "It's ok". My reaction: "No it's NOT OK". She also smeared fluoride all over my teeth (even though in my last appointment, I specifically stated that I don't want that treatment. After researching it, I found that the ADA states " Fluoride must be ingested, topical fluoride is ineffective". Plus, I have a bridge for my upper 6 teeth (i.e. they are fake teeth). Yer Lee is obviously not smart enough to realize that fluoride, even if the ADA had thought that it was effective, can NOT be absorbed by fake teeth. When I called to cancel my next appointment and ask that my dental records be sent to my new dentist, the office staff wasn't even curious as to WHY I was leaving their facility for another. Her attitude was almost as if they get lots of these requests.

She gives great feedback about what's going well in your mouth and what things you could do differently to improve other aspects of your oral health. Got in at 7am and was out the door by 8am. I love their flexible scheduling. I appreciate that this dental office does not push with upselling or offering unnecessary procedures. I have 1 tooth with mineralization on it from childhood and both dentists I've seen at this clinic have asked if it bothers me, and when I say no they totally back off and respect my decision to keep my weird tooth the way that it is. I have referred several people here. If you forget your chapstick and your lips get dry from stretching them open for so long, they'll offer you one of their custom chapsticks. Matt greeted me promptly at 7:00 a.m. and prepped me, always his usual, courteous yet friendly self. His administration of novocaine was painless and he explained and double checked the procedure. Dr. D. then did the same, explaining each step as we went along while both he and his assistant kept me well rinsed and as comfortable as possible throughout. Visual scans confirmed everything that had been done and any questions I had were answered quickly and expertly. I have had some traumatic dental experiences in the past elsewhere, so was slightly hesitant going in. My family of 4 has been seeing the team at Parkway Dental for over a decade, though, so I know firsthand that they are beyond competent. They actually CARE about their patients. At no time did I feel unsafe or uncared for. I was even given a lovely fleece blanket that proved to be a great calming agent. Truly, though, it is their professionalism and compassionate care that shepherded me through. I go back in about a week for my permanent crowns and am actually looking forward to it!

I have consulted 2 other dentists since, I and was kindly asked to never go back to Dr. Karl Anderson, he caused me to need more surgical work than I would have needed! He also was VERY chauvinistic toward me during my consultation, I should have listened to this "red flag", but he had all the required education I was looking for. I would NOT recommend HIM at all, I am writing this review to hopefully save someone else the pain & suffering he caused me. Several months after my procedure I found out my insurance company paid them. I called the office, it seems they received insurance payment & had no intention of reimbursing me. (I paid up front for the service!) There are a lot of bad reviews on Dr. Karl Anderson BEWARE!!!
