They've made some improvements over the past year or two. Their pizza has gotten better. Their beef and beef and the beef & sausage combo especially have improved. The combo is top notch. I did notice the prices have drastically increased. I say, fix the AC on the roof for the employees sake or lower your prices. About $11 for a 2 hotdog combo. Word to the wise...as good as some of their food is, this place is "hotdog challenged". I've never gotten a hot hotdog from these guys and if you ask for a Chicago dog, no celery salt, cold bun and the mustard and relish are in pouches so you can put it on yourself..? Can't figure that out. At least this time it was beef. I've never heard of a pizza place that can't make a Chicago style hotdog. Steamed poppyseed bun, sliced tomato, bright green sweet pickle relish, chopped onions, pickled sport peppers, mustard & an all beef hot dog like Vienna or a Red Hot...and it's called a "Hot Dog" because the meat is supposed to be hot. We used to love the pizza here but the last few times we ordered it has lacked the quality. Today it arrived cold. When I tried to call the business line was so staticky it was hard to have a conversation and the employee kept saying it was my phone however I can call anyone else with no issue. This was a quick find while doing a little weekend adventure. The pizza was actually very good. I live having fries and BBQ sauce with my pizza and a super nice surprise the fries were the steak cut style(whoot whoot ). The BBQ sauce is a nice size and also tasty The place is for pick up there are about 2 smallish tables but mostly pick up service. This is our favorite neighborhood pizza. We been faithfully going to Genoa for 4-5 years now and we've never been disappointed. During the pandemic, we started trying things on their dinner menu and loved it all. We usually order either my wife's favorite which is sausage and fresh garlic or my favorite which is bacon and pepperoni. Their Italian beef was top notch and was recommended when I asked what I should order. Their steak sandwich is very good too. If you haven't been to Genoa, I think you should give it a shot. Lady on the phone says that they don't get paid tips. When I asked, she said "it all goes to the owner". Every time I go in to pick up my pizza, while I'm waiting 15+ mins past pickup time, It seems that all the boss does is yell at his employees, calling them names and criticizing them on multiple occasions. So much so, that I finally made an account to write a review! Temperature inside must be over 110 degrees in the summer too, seems like a potentially hazardous and hostile work environment. This is definitely one of my new favorite places in the area. So far I've tried their beefs, pizza and hot dog and loved all of it. I've already been there 3 times in one week, but I have alot of other items to try on the menu, they have great lunch and pizza specials thru the week. # Update recently tried the half slab of ribs and chicken dinner and it was delicious. I haven't had any of their non-pizza items so the two stars is more for the pizza. (The pan pizza specifically.) In my opinion everything about it is bland. The sauce is bland, the toppings are bland, the crust is flavorless like a cracker. Maybe my palate has just been ruined by MSG and processed food but if were to I get a pizza from a pizza place I'd hope it would taste better than one I could make at home or get out of the freezer aisle at the store. The prices are also horrendous considering the quality of the pizza. When I ordered from them online, I think my total clocked in at over twenty dollars or something for a single medium pizza. I actually called the restaurant to ask them if what I was seeing was correct. I thought, man, this must be some Rolls Royce pizza. I was wrong. This place is pretty awesome. In fact, my parents and I are deciding what we want to eat from there right now. Yes, it's 3 PM on a Sunday. Yes, I'm 21 and living with my parents for the summer. Don't judge! On to Genoa: On Monday and Tuesday they have buy one thin crust pizza, get another one free. It's a pretty great deal. They have a lot of delicious combinations, like the Olive Oil pizza. It has olive oil instead of marinara sauce, and it comes with ham, onions, bacon, and mushrooms. That's my absolute favorite, but in the defense of every other specialty pizza, I've only tried the Olive Oil. My other favorite is a small thin crust with extra cheese, double pineapple, jalapeños, ham, and bacon. I used to hate the idea of pineapple on pizza, but so long as you have some salty meats to offset the sweetness, it's pretty epic. The jalapeños are great on there, and the double pineapple offsets the spiciness. But hey, now I'm talking pizza in general, instead of Genoa's specifically. My other absolute favorite item on their menu is the jalapeño poppers, with cream cheese. They are awesome! I'm a huge fan of poppers, and Genoa's makes some pretty mean poppers. I've tried the fettuccine alfredo, of which I am also a connoisseur. It was pretty average. Not too great, but I've definitely had worse *cough*Rosati's*cough*. 4 stars for great pizza and amazing poppers. read more

I received a coupon in the mail that stated "buy one get one free on Monday and Tuesdays" The rude manger made it a point to tell me that I'm clearly reading the coupon wrong. Pizza is great here, the manger is a joke though. He needs to be replaced immediately, and if that happens to be the owner. [The video game type not the football kind. :p] We are huge fans of the stuffed pizza and it doesn't take too long. Not that we are paying attention. Ha! They are usually quoted for 25 minutes if you pick it up yourself. The only downside is ingredients are quite prices. My small pie with one topping went from $15 something to $24 something for a vegetable pizza. :/ Talked to the owner, Joe for a bit. He's pretty chilled and collective. Stumble upon Genoa while on a lunch break at a conference out in SG. I ordered a slice of cheese pizza, which was decent. The crust and sauce were good, but I wasn't too crazy about the cheese. I also ordered the Genoa salad. Unfortunately it was packed with shredded mozzarella cheese. I actually picked the majority of it off and it was probably about a cup or so! Our driver was very kind, friendly and professional- all of which I give five stars for! However, I had to deduct a couple for lack of flavor and pricing. Crust is an odd, more flour-y texture that could use more salt in the recipe and the sauce is lacking flavor entirely. I must say however, the veggies appeared fresh, which we appreciate! It was much pricier than I would have preferred, which made it seem like we recieved a buy one get one half off type of deal. Had the flavor been there, we would return, regardless of the price. Can't say enough about Genoa Pizza. It's one of the best pizza places I've been too and their food is reasonably priced and consistent. I'm really picky about my sauce on pizza and very few places do it right, but Genoas does a fantastic job. It sweet, tangy, and still keeps a tomato flavor without tasting like straight tomato paste (nothing drives me more nuts than pizza sauce with no flavor). I do wish however that they would expand their salad menu to include something a little more elaborate then romaine lettuce and tomatoes.
