HE mentioned that I must have gained weight ..twice! I picked up my dress from the bridal store 2 weeks ago and it zipped perfectly fine. Once I changed, his wife helped me put my dress in the bag, and she said sorry. I wanted to tell her that I'm sorry she is married to such an asshole. I took my dress to a different shop and it is able to be taken out and it was definitely able to be zipped. If you want to have a man tell you that you have gained weight and they cannot help you other than adding a huge panel of fabric on the back, this is your place!

I like to get my jeans tailored and keep the original bottom hem, which she does very well IMO, and unlike other tailors I've never had to explain what I mean when I ask for this. One time, I was working late and called her back a bit after her operating hours. She was already on her way home and, even though I told her I could stop in the next day, she came back to get me my dress/work clothes! I believe she did this because I was in the parking lot of her store. Point is, she is a very sweet lady who clearly takes pride in her work and will work with you on whatever you need.

When we tried the dress on 4/10/2023, there is a huge gap at the waist that allows a person to see straight down the back of the dress. Her prom was 4/15/2023 so we had to take it to a seamstress in Indianapolis to take the dress in further. There was about 3 inches of dress that had to be removed. We were charged $55 for the services. When i spoke to Shetland, she agreed to a partial refund of $26. In our conversation you cited the lack of time as the reason that you were not able to complete the alterations as we agreed on 4/1. My response was that you should not have accepted the job given the tight timeline if you were not sure that you would be able to do the job as agreed. If you had been open about your reservations with altering the dress, we had an agreement with Art at La Merite dress shop to not purchase the dress. But you said that you could do it so we bought the dress and paid for the alterations. When my sister went to get the $26 dollar's yesterday, Svetlana only gave her $17 and told her to get out of her shop. Incredibly rude, unprofessional, and poor quality work. Then they upcharged me $225 to remove the damaged lace and found some extra pieces to add on that weren't cut. 2nd, instead of fixing the bust area they just tightened the sides that then had to be let out and the bust adjusted like it should have been in the first place. 3rd, I specifically asked shouldn't the bustle loops be elastic so they don't rip. They said no...and out of 10 bustled loops only 1 top one lasted and a few under, I had to safety pin up the entire back of her gown. Even the maid of honors dress had to get redone because they cinched it so tight. So glad I wasted $915 and then they wanted a tip!

Noor was exceptionally kind and understanding. He was able to fix my dress by the next day(but please go beforehand if you have time). My dress had 2 layers and the satin fabric was snagging where I had tried to put fabric tape. Noor salvaged as much length of my dress as he could and it ended up being perfect. I am so thankful Noor and his wife were able to fix my dress and would definitely recommend this place to anyone! (Will post picture once wedding pictures come in)

Thankfully I was referred Chris who did an amazing job, quickly, and was so reasonable!! I've since referred all of my friends and soon to be brides here and will come back. Not only did she make me feel totally comfortable but also did an amazing job. She's also so fun and personable -- it was the experience that I was looking for. The services in the photo (for reference) were to take in the waist of the skirt, add sleeves, and hem what was probably 10 layers of fabric while reserving the train/fullness.

She gets done with my order then calls me and says that I still owed her. Long story short I paid it again to get my things then left. I tried taking my CC statement back to them but again...alot of back and forth. That was the first issue... This time...I dropped off 2 pair of Jeans to be altered on Wednsday with her BF telling me to come back Saturday and they would be ready. So I pay ahead of time and this time I got my reciept along with PAID on the stub. I come back on Saturday only to find out my jeans havent even been touched yet and blamed it on having to go to the phone store and spend 5 hours. So she hurried up and grabbed them and did them while I waited. All I needed done was to have the jeans length taken up 2 inches. Well...she got one right!!! One pair are just fine while the other pair were cut so short they can now pass for Capri pants!!! Basically ruining a brand new pair of jeans. So not only am I out the money to have them altered...Im also out the money for the jeans as well with NO CHANCE of ever being refunded because it wasnt her fault( as she always says). THEN while there waiting to get my order done,another female customer came in and because somebody moved in the store their dog( a Chiuaua) started barking/snarling at myself and another person with the excuse given ( oh hes trying to protect her) FROM WHAT??? NOTHING HAPPENED!!! I have severe PTSD as did the other male customer that was there as we are both combat vets...I got triggered so bad that I had to leave before things escalated. Needless to say if its not one thing with this place its another and is NEVER EVER their fault. I think its time to find another seamstress. I in good concience cannot recommend this place to anyone.
