Since starting five months ago my kids have grown tremendously in strength, agility, discipline, and have learned how to handle their bodies. I have developed as well, and my daughter and I competed in our first tournament yesterday and did very well. My wife has even started training so the whole family has a place here. Coach Wes is a highly skilled black belt who can teach those nuances that make or break a technique, and Coach Sara's fitness classes are intense from what I have seen. Great atmosphere, everyone is always friendly and ready to get after it. Highly recommend.

Jiu Jitsu is a difficult martial art for many reasons. There are a myriad of techniques to learn,…read moreit involves using your entire body and the level of fitness required to do BJJ well is very high. When I started this journey almost 5 years ago, I wasn't sure how long I'd last. Fast forward to now, I haven't lost interest nor desire to learn. It's such a challenging and rewarding past time to me that it's all about the learning and never the belt. The environment at Keller Elite Martial Arts is positive. People are helpful and encouraging. Some of the best people around. The head instructor Roberto is extremely skilled, practicing all that he preaches. He is there on the mat rolling with everyone and working out with newcomers. He teaches well but more importantly he troubleshoots well. It is difficult to find a skilled practitioner who is also able to visualize how you are attempting to follow but missing something. BJJ is not for everyone but if you are up for a challenge and are looking to improve your fitness, there is nothing better. And Keller Elite is a great place to boot up this experience for you.

Two more accomplished male black belts. Many advanced level coaches as well, plenty of adult training partners, and a small army of Genesis kids! Very reasonable pricing, no contracts, tons of class times, and great people. All levels, from beginners to black belts, train here. The environment is very welcoming. Competition is encouraged but not required, and there are many very successful competitors here in different age ranges, weight classes, and belt levels. Focusing on the kid's side for this review: Started about 3 years ago with my 4 year old daughter. We came for a trial class and enjoyed it, so decided to keep training. Another big factor was the female ownership and strong female membership. I wanted my daughter to have those examples to look up to. We have never done any martial arts or wrestling before, so I wasn't sure how either of us would fair. My daughter loves her coaches and they really do a great job of keeping things fun yet disciplined and engaging. They all genuinely care about their students. They make sure everyone is safe and working together in a controlled way. Coach Jen and Coach Kat started her off with Wee Warriors and the basic skills. She has been able to move up and promote into the more advanced classes with Coach Kari and Coach Eli. She also loves helping with the younger kids whenever she can with Coach (and owner) Karen, Coach Eli, or Coach Jen. It's nice that all of the coaches generally work together and help eachother, and there are many other coaches that I am sure I am neglecting to mention who have contributed to my daughter's progress. The lessons are consistent no matter who is leading the class, and generally build on the previous lessons or review skills already taught. Plenty of private and small group lessons available as well for extra training if desired. The more my daughter participates and engages with her coaches, friends, training partners, and other competitors, the more she enjoys being at Genesis Jiu Jitsu. She genuinely looks forward to it and misses it when she can't go. Come on in and join the Genesis family!

Best gym experience…read more I'm so glad a friend introduced me to MindSet Fitness and Yoga. I started doing circuit training, which I had never done before. I walk and bike ride and garden, but really needed to build up strength and flexibility. Some gyms I had tried before were not informed about what types of exercise someone in their 60's is capable of and they were not great with adapting things to what I could do. Travis and the other trainers are so different. They encourage you to do your best, but are ready to adapt different exercises to your level. We go 2 to 3x a week and I can't believe the difference. You are never left on your own, someone is always there helping you and making sure you are not doing an exercise safely. Luis and Becky are so helpful. Here is another thing I really like. The circuit class is almost all day. You go when you can, you are never late to class, and you come when you can and warm up, then do the circuit for that day. It is different and challenging. Travis has adapted exercises for my husband too. His work with MS helps him with understanding any conditions or injuries. Yolanda's yoga class is also really great. She helps us stay strong and flexible. The friendly encouragement and fun from all the folks at the gym helps the workout go fast. If you are looking to get healthy, you should check out MindSet Fitness and Yoga.

Let me start with "we love Mr.Ayala" So we started looking for a place for my 12years to go. I…read morerecently been taking kick boxing and I took him to my gym once and he loved it but he was too young to join my gym. He showed great interest in punching those bags! So I looked around and found Paulie's gym. We walked in on a rainy Wednesday night, and he was there training some people. He greeted us and ended up talking to us for an hour. Mr.Ayala is very attentive, and it showed that he wants the best for your child. He's always in the gym when the kids are there; training them, helping them with their forms and just very involved. Now in the kids class it's literally kids of all ages: from 6 all the way to 17. And they work them hard, so don't think you can slack around here. If you have kids that needs discipline bring them here also. Can't say enough about Paulie!

There is zero intimidation factor here. So if you are beginner, this.is great place to start, if you are advanced amd need a trainer, Paulie will get you to next level. It truly is one of the top boxing gyms in the country in my opinion!

TLDR: rude, unprofessional, and will do fraudulant charges and then lie about what they stated…read more The instructor is so nice during the trial class and then magically forgets how to treat kids after that. Every class the instructor comes up to me and tells me what he did wrong in class, which I appreciate the opportunity to work with my son in addressing issues so no problem there, but the last straw of his attitude was when he took his belt away, I asked what my son was doing because I was actually watching and for the first time mine wasn't being out of line and his response with a snark said "he's just being Ty" well i can't work on anything with him if you won't tell me but the attitude is very telling of how you feel about my autistic child, mild but that doesn't matter, and he still feels your attitude because children are very intuitive. Either way, I've never met a 4 year old that doesnt wiggle. Another day before class the instructor addressed my son and i said "it's not an excuse but he hasn't slept more than 4 hours at a time in the last 2 weeks so it's a little rough" and the instructor literally told me "that's a home issue, give him nyquil" to a 4 year old. When we signed up the paper states $200 termination fee if leaving before 6 months but I was told in person by the lady in charge "but I don't charge that for kids because they change their mind a lot" no I didn't add an addendum the paper because I had a fussy nursing baby so no hands to write entire sentences. She charged it anyways to a card they didn't have permission to use but I used it in their business once to buy his uniform and pay the start up fee, and she tried the approved card first but it was declined because it was stolen recently. she sent a link when we signed up for future monthly payments that were to be charged on a completely DIFFERENT card and permission was revoked in writing to use original card they had on file. She's now saying the contract wasn't notated and initialed, either way you should stick to your word and not lie, but also verbal agreements are binding in the state of Texas.
