Do NOT use. This guy is a complete scam and lied to me directly to my face about repairing my furnace. We had no heat. The thermostat was communicating to the furnace, the furnace was running continuously, but the temperature kept dropping. This guy came in, looked at the furnace for 5 minutes, wiggled a few wires behind the thermostat, then told me it was fixed. He left, the temperature, kept dropping. I tried called and texting him to come back, he ignored my calls, so I just called another company to repair my heat and they've ordered the parts to properly repair my heat. No! No ! No! These people never show up on time and kept you waiting forever. They replaced with the lowest quality furnace and also installed it with a rough way, like just tape it on but didn't check all details that they supposed to! Our new furnace started to come out the problem after the second year. It will be a pain if you use these people! read more

Truthfully, I give this company 0 (ZERO!!) stars. They are completely incompetent. First of all, whoever answers their phones needs to learn the meaning of customer service. I can't imagine telling customers (in response to every call), "I'll call you back" and then not calling back is good for business. Repeated phone calls to try to schedule an appointment is extremely frustrating. Finally getting an appointment and having the technician show up over an hour late is pretty damn frustrating too, especially because I had to rearrange my day to accommodate their 4 hour window - and he showed up an hour after the window! Having the technician say "can't fix it, you have to schedule another appointment" is just beyond. And then I am back in the calling/not get a response/calling again loop. Avoid this company, if you can. Unfortunately, they are the company my 'home warranty insurance' company sent - I am stuck with them. read more

Do not use this company! I had them replace my furnace and after they left, I discovered a natural gas leak and the furnace filter haphazardly placed within the box. What is interesting is when I questioned the company about why the filter was not installed correctly in the furnace, I was told they we would need to install an extra box to properly house the filter (which apparently would meet building code standards). In other words, they installed my furnace without a required box to house the filter which will very likely cause the furnace to break not to mention leave dirty air in the house. The company refused to fix the problem without an additional cost! Not to mention, they used my new Dyson vacuum without my permission to suck up water and their mess! Yes, I was dumping water out of my Dyson vacuum after they left. Do not let these people in your house! read more

The tech always answeres his phone; very courteous, respectful and accommodating! He came to my place detected a leak near the compressor, that United air temp and other giant companies missed. He removed the R22 which is hard to find and costly and replaced it with 407 that was easily accessible and covered with the Home warranty company. read more

Just had my wisdom teeth pulled and my AC unit was down for about 36 hours and it was about 90 degrees outside. My house was a miserable 84 degrees and I was running a fever. Called my home warranty company and was connected with Genesis to come out and do an "emergency" call. Granted I was very frustrated that Genesis gave me a 2-5pm window but then didn't arrive until almost 7pm. He did call me at 4pm to indicate he had one more job to do before arriving at my house, but at no time did that translate to me that they would be almost 2 hours later than anticipated. So I called them a couple times to confirm they were still coming. Understandably the summer servicing is always busy so I was just grateful that they came. The other people my home warranty recommended weren't available for a couple days. So Genesis saved the day otherwise I was going to have to get a hotel for the night because sleeping in my house even with a fan was horrible (I did this the night before and regretted it). So while they could use some pointers in customer service they WILL complete your job and get your AC working correctly. They quickly identified the problem as a broken motor. They had the part with them and fixed it within 45 min. I paid my deductible and within mins of them leaving my house was already cooling off. I'm only giving 3 stars for timeliness (this is HUGE to me.....especially in an emergency situation). If they hadn't quoted me a window which they didn't honor the rating would be higher. However, I felt stuck in a hot box for much of the day because I didn't want to miss them arriving. read more

This company was referred to me by my home warranty company when my A/C went out in the middle of a heat wave in DC. They were extremely difficult to get in touch with and consistently showed up at least an hour outside of their window. It took them five visits over two weeks to diagnose and fix the problem, and they could not understand why I was frustrated with how long it was taking. They never returned phone calls as promised, and when another HVAC technician came out a week after they completed the work, he informed me that the way they had rewired the system would not allow my heating to work in the fall. read more

If I could give negative stars I would! This company was sent to my home by my home warranty company to diagnose and service my HVAC. During the first trip out it was discovered that my system was low in freon. He recharged the freon, cheated me the deductible and was on his way. Mind you, there was no assessment of leaks conducted. The fix lasts about 2 weeks before my system returns to barely blowing cool air but not sufficient enough to cool my home in the dead of summer. I call back the warranty company they send me the same person even though i asked for a new company. Again, he comes out does his visual inspection to which he tells me that the problem is that my condenser is dirty. Fine, I go buy the necessary material and clean it as instructed. It didn't help in the slightest. His response, well then you need a new freon line-- as you might have guessed this repair isn't covered under the warranty. But how would he know what was needed he never conducted a leak check on the interior of exterior unit. He submits the report claim denied. Well, since the "needed" repair was going to have to come out of pocket I call another local, highly recommended, reviewed, and reputable company. The experience night and day. The technician introduced himself immediately, gave me the company business card and explained step by step how he would run diagnostics to determine the problem with my system. He used an electronic leak detector first inside then out. He opened the condenser to check for leaks in the interior coils and low and behold a leak. In fact, there was such a large leak that their is residue on the inside of my condenser. The upside is that the part is under warranty. The downside is that the labor is upward of $1500 and I am having to battle the home warranty company to cover the repair and have a more reputable company service my system because these incompetent low level handymen couldn't get the job done right. If you give them any of your money prepare to just be angry with yourself. read more
