    Review #511 March…read more31, 2025 Updated Review from 1/16/2018 I can certainly say again this AutoZone is My go to store for My vehicle when I won't drive to the Ford dealership plus pay their high install prices for the same products mostly sold here at Auto Zone. I can work on my vehicle when I have to. My January photos of a Duralast battery purchase are posted in detailed from this location. During the deep freeze days in the month of January, I kept receiving an error message inside on the information screen and also the message on the Ford App connected to My Phone of a low battery charge. I called the Ford dealership and was given a two week appointment plus to leave it for the day. The price with install and other testing was outrageous - $556.00. I couldn't accept that price or timeframe due to my work schedule, therefore I stopped in AutoZone and the guys there were helpful and kind enough to test the battery on their equipment in the parking lot FREE N/C. The percentage was 40% which was lower than the 50 % I had checked at home in My garage a few days prior. The store employee helped Me choose a compatible battery to match the factory installed one from 2020. I bought it and arrived back the next day to have the employee install it FREE and gave Me $22.00 credit for the old one. What a efficient and professional service here without the long wait and high installation price at the Ford dealership. ($400.00) I Thank All the AutoZone team members as before in 2018 and again on January 10, 2025 for your kind and helpful knowledge to show great support and service! I talked to Austin as well and although young he really impressed me during my last service call. After a not so great experience at a chain place for an oil change I decided to come back to Elder Hyundai for my service. I had left because the oil changes are a pricey and it's not necessarily super close to my home. However I did go back and I'm always pleased with the service department. I have to say it's disheartening to see three reviews about purchasing or leasing a car because I experienced a very similar thing when I was looking to purchase a vehicle or my now 24-year-old son back when he was in his junior year of college. They really do need to work on their sales people to create relationships. There was absolutely no room for any negotiation regarding a new vehicle, or used vehicle for that matter. I also went to Elder looking for a car for me a year earlier and since they are the closest I tried them out and certainly didn't feel valued or like they really cared about selling me a car. This is unfortunate since there's no other Hyundai dealerships close by. I guess the thing that bothered me the most is when I saw two stars on yelp and read the reviews it appears their sales department hasn't changed within the last couple years, so I guess if I have to buy a new Hyundai unfortunately it won't be through Elder. I think the only reason they're still there and why their prices are so high is because they do have a very efficient and talented service department which is something I look for in a dealership. It's unfortunate it's not a well rounded dealership where you get the whole package tied in a nice bow. It's actually shocking how it's like two different worlds from the sales floor to the service department. Kudos to the service department who in my opinion keep that dealership open.

So, I was excited when it came time to turn my '23 vehicle in and work up a new lease. The salesperson I worked with in '23 is no longer at this dealership (I can see why). I was assigned to a new salesperson and made an appointment. I made a list of vehicles that mildly interested me from their online inventory. He never looked at it. He kept looking at his monitor while talking to me. I asked about the Santa Cruz, and he told me that I didn't want one. I took a test ride in a '25 Tucson around the lot with the salesperson driving, but I didn't like the color. He ended the appointment by handing me a card and suggesting I give him a call if I needed anything. I didn't hear from him for 2 weeks even though I sent multiple emails asking for pricing on a specific vehicle. I got an email from the general manager asking how the leasing process was going. I replied with my concerns about lack of salesperson response. He dealt with it by forwarding my email to the salesperson, who basically said I was lying. I again asked for pricing on 2 specific vehicles. I never got a response. Long story, after a month of no response I visited a Hyundai dealership in Troy and worked up a new deal in less than an hour and had my new '26 Tucson two days later. It's too bad, because I really liked the service staff at Elder and they are much closer to me than the Troy dealership, but the apathy at Elder was too much.

    **********Simply put....THIS LOCATION ROCKS!**********…read more Got wrong part in error ... didn't know it until the repair shop putting it on noted the hub was 6 lug, not my 5 needed. Its ok mistakes happen. Called the store and they went into action to assist and rectify things WITHIN MINUTES ALL WITHOUTH THE CAR LEAVING THE HOIST! Seriously.....WOW!!!!!! Speaking with Mike Achenza, he quantified my problem, found the correct part, and after a few very short moments on hold had approval from the store manager Charlie to have the part run up to the repair shop I was using.....no extra charge! Moments later, in walks Maars, a younger associate that was articulate, gracious, and courteous....ONE OF THE MOST POLISHED ASSOCIATES IN ALL MY YEARS PATRONIZING ADVANCE AUTO PARTS!!!!!! He handle the transaction efficiently, and represents the company with a STELLAR ATTITUDE! Even the repair shop staff were impressed with the POLISHED interaction! (5-STAR!!!!!) Returned the other part I did not need to the store without issue, with the help of Kelli, the Retail Parts Pro who admittedly knows a heck of alot more abut cars than I do! It was then I got to talk with all the abovementioned staff a bit more and discover it not only a corporate HUB for all its auto parts distribution with everything in stock, but a HUB for kindness, knowledge and professionalism from the top down!
