David is an awesome technician. He is knowledgeable and efficient. Our generator is ready for when it is needed.

Fri. Dec 6, 2024 1:58 PM A HUGE Generx Generator truck with 2 male drivers almost side swiped me, causing me to drive up on the curb. I called the Bradenton police & reported the event along with the license plate: NRP J93 The driver was in the left lane which merged into the right lane I was driving in but he didn't merge in time nor did he break until traffic allowed him to enter the right lane on 26th St. driving north. Less than 1/2 mi. he turned left on Manatee Ave. going (west) & after craning their necks trying to look & stare me down in an attempt to intimidate me. I would NEVER hire this company that would hire ppl that drove recklessly intimidating others=BULLIES! IMAGINE how they'd be in person with YOU? The back of the truck had a number I called but it wanted me to hang up and dial another number. read more

GenerX Generators Ocala | Generac Dealer - Generator Installation/Repair Near Me - Ocala, Florida

My technician was Nathaniel Madison. He did a great job. Phenomenal customer service!

Even though " they say" we don't need a generator in The Villages, we got one. The day of installation it rained because it was Tropical Storm Debby. Two guys came anyway to prepare the base then returned the next day to finish the generac installation. It sounds simple but be forewarned, there's a bunch of red tape and approvals needed first. Genera Generators did a good job for us. read more

David is the best tech, We want him annually. He performed all the necessary service items and reported the gen is great shape. Thanks!!

Excellent company. From the start with the representative to the end with the installers, you cannot beat them. We purchased our generator, and the process began and was so smooth. They gave us the price, which was good, and provided every step to be taken. They took care of everything; we had to do nothing. The day of installation they arrived with everything they needed, began to work and they all worked as a team. One of the best teamwork's I have experienced. Everyone knew his job and performed it good. I was very impressed with the company, the generator, and the crew who were knowledgeable, professional, and very friendly. After installation they explained the duties, I would have to do, and everything that would be done by the generator automatically. I was very impressed with this company, and I am very happy with the end product. read more

I bought my Generac whole house generator from Generx. I have had them do the maintenance on it. But now when I need a problemm fixed I can't get the service department to get it done. Icalled a few days ago o ly to repeatedly sit on hold until I was #1 in the line to be answered only to be disconnected every time I got to that point. I was on hold at least a total of almost 2 hours. After that I just quit calling because I was never getting connected. I am considering trying a different company at this time. I am on a in home heart monitor and use a C-pap for my serious apnea. So I need to have my generator in working condition. They were great on the selling and installing but the service department is not so quick to get on the ball. I am very disappointed. read more

GenerX installed my generator after long delays. They did not complete the enclosure. A door was never installed. The drain holes do not drain water out of the enclosure. Nobody answers their phone calls or returns phone calls. They do not answer my emails. I strongly recommend that customers look elsewhere for a more reliable company to install their generator. I am definitely not using them to service my unit. read more

Nathaniel represented GenererX very professionally and the service on my 24KW was completed in a very timely manner! I recommend 10/10

Generx Recommendation: If you decide to go with this company, please be aware that you will need to check your permit status consistently. DO NOT TRUST that Gener-x is completing all the necessary steps to complete your permit. Don't expect anything from the service department. You will not be able to reach them and they show up whenever they want. The one year maintenance is a one time service (not a full year) to change your oil for which they will try to up charge you for a valve job that literally takes 10 minutes and no parts needed. The salesman was great, knowledgeable, not high pressured and caring until things went wrong. Instead of taking account for the errors, all we got were excuses. Initial paperwork and permit seemed to go quick and smooth but forgot many things in the later phases. The installation crew was outstanding, professional and with Tito taking charge they placed the LP tank under and around pipes that we thought was impossible. AMAZING! Electrical crew worked hard at putting everything where we wanted it. Permit had multiple failures on different inspections as seen below: -Permit failed underground wiring (July 16) -Permit failed for gas line connection (July 16) -Permit failed again on underground wiring and gas line (July 22) -Over a month later we noticed the permit had not closed and Generx forgot to do the final inspections -Permit failed for lugs not tight enough (Sept 3) -Permit failed for wrong type of wire between transfer switches (Sept 3) -Final re-inspection passed (Sept 13) -One week after final, we had to notify Gener-x again that they failed to issue proper paperwork to the building dept to close out the permit. -Permit closed three months after starting (Oct-7) October 9th we were directly hit by a tornado causing damage to the shell of the generator but generator fortunately worked great. We notified the company and they said they'd come out to check out the system to make sure it was working properly and they had no sympathy or care. They never showed up. It took several attempts to get them to give us estimates for repairs and to service the generator since it had ran for four days. Finally they called and scheduled a service and they did not show up or call. Come to find out, they do not give out the service repair phone number and no way to reach them other than complaining to the general manager. Finally, they came out, stating that we really did not need a service but we could use our one-time maintenance for this appointment (supposedly a one year free service contract included, not). Then, proceeded to recommend a valve adjustment at $350 was needed. Conclusion: At the beginning, we were extremely happy and supportive of the work that this company provided. After several failures and run-ins with the building department and a continuous lack of communication throughout Gener-x was so frustrating. They thought we were done with our permits when we weren't, Gener-x service cannot be reached, several inspection failures and lack of care when we were hit by a tornado. We would not hire this company again. read more

2 large box trucks and a pick-up truck showed up at the quoted time yesterday everyone knew their jobs it took about 2 hour's and everything works great they were very good about explaining how everything worked very confident with our system too thanks again guys! read more

What a scam. They guarantee the lowest price in writing, that is until you bring them a be better price from a Generac Approved Competitor, who beat their price by $2K. Then they come up with every excuse in the world. Call Electrix in Inverness, they will save you a lot of money and they are nice! read more

I needed a 22kW Generac generator installed for my house a few months ago. I didn't feel like hiring multiple contractors for the job so it was really nice that this company was turnkey and does it all. read more

Recently, we were in the market to purchase a whole home Generac system for our home, here in Citrus County, Florida. Even though we had a transfer switch installed a few years ago, we felt like it was time for a long term upgrade. We also felt that this was the perfect time of year to have a home generator installed before the busy Florida hurricane season. After some research, I contacted a local company, GenerX of Ocala, and my phone call was immediately answered in a polite and courteous manner. I spoke with Kristen, who was very personable, and explained the situation to her. After some discussion, she assisted me with quickly deciding on the perfect plan that we were looking for. She was extremely helpful and knowledgeable as it pertained to the inventory that they had in stock and what specifics. She went the extra mile to be pleasant and accommodating. Subsequently, we were able to schedule a home appointment within a very reasonable time frame. Shortly after that, David, the area's Sales Field Engineer, responded to our home at the stated time as promised and proceeded to do a very detailed site inspection, both inside and outside of the residence, without issue. David was very courteous, and throughout the entire process, he took the time to thoroughly explain everything involved from beginning to end. David made us feel totally comfortable and confident with our choice of a generator company. Within days, I responded to the GenereX office located in Ocala to meet with Pamela and Kristen in order to complete the NOC which was necessary for the permitting process to begin. While there, I was given a brief tour of the warehouse and equipment yard and was amazed to see that they maintain a huge inventory on hand. I believe that no matter what model you should choose or what parts you might need, they probably have them at their disposal. I was then contacted by Ryan, the Ocala office manager who was overseeing the project and he let us know that he was there to answer any questions that we might have as it pertained to our purchase. On the day of installation, the entire field tech installation team arrived right on time and completed a quality job in a very timely manner with as few disruptions to our household as possible. The team members were very friendly and personable and cleaned up the entire job site when they were finished. Before leaving, they provided an exceptional orientation to us regarding the new state of the art equipment. I have to say that this company really has it's act together in every way possible and we couldn't be happier with our new home generator. All receipts for services and payments along with various notifications were immediately sent to us electronically and we will receive future scheduling appointment reminders via text messages on our cell phones. Another added bonus to using this company is that it's a one stop shopping experience since they do everything from start to finish, including the installation of the fuel tank which I upgraded to a 500 gallon tank for a very reasonable charge. They made it a very pleasurable experience and really went the extra mile for us as their customers. We highly recommend GenerX of Ocala and you won't regret it should you decide to do business with them. Thanks for a job well done and a refreshing experience with your company in this day and age. We will certainly use them in the future for all of our home generator needs. Five stars all the way! read more

After a lot of research and quotes I signed a contract and made a down payment in July 2022. In September I had issues with something else and had gone to my City Hall, Permit Department and found out that GenerX had been notified that there was an issue in permitting, but GenerX had never responded. Fast forward to November 2022 and I found out that the issue in permitting had never been addressed. I sent a cancellation letter to the sales manager and was contacted immediately that this would be resolved, but it was too little too late and I insisted on the cancellation. I received a call from accounting to verify my address, but after three weeks still no refund check. I contacted the sales manager, but no response. We're in the middle of December now, no more responses, no refund check and I will notify Generac directly of the poor representation by this distributor. All this typed while on hold with GenerX. read more
