Wes Johnson, who is very knowledgeable of Generac generators, explained the system, assisted us in selecting the best product to meet our needs, and walked us though the whole process. Sonia, who is the Office Administrator, kept us updated along the way. The installation went smoothly until it was time for the butane tank and line to be installed by another company. When we were unable to get the butane company to come out timely, Wes stepped in and encouraged them to do so the next week instead of waiting a month. Received a price of $15,242 to hook up a Generac generator that would already be anchored to concrete, gas run and ready for electric service. The 6 hour job was to connect it to electricity, install the transfer switch and two phase switches. I was shocked! Found two other qualified electricians for $2216 and $3125 for the exact same work. Now, call me crazy, but $2500/hr seems like gouging to me especially when Generac estimates $2900 for the entire installation. I am hopeful they made a simple mistake and will correct it. Love to use them because the guy that came out to do the site survey was outstanding. Shop around. It's not worth $15k in any market. Just getting what they can due to hysteria after the big freeze. read more

I just want to have you look at the exclusions in our contract. I copied the portion that pertains to the landscaping below. EXCLUSIONS: We are not responsible for any existing defective wiring or code violations in the existing electrical system or gas system, and any said defective wiring, gas plumbing or code violations that requires us to repair or extend the work we have proposed to install or repair, must be paid for in addition to the proposed price declared above. Due to the nature of this work, it is sometimes necessary to create openings in walls, ceilings, or floors to gain access to concealed wiring, boxes, splices, gas connections or to install new wiring and or gas piping. Price does not include patching or painting of walls, ceilings or floors that need to be cut or drilled to gain access for installations. Customer understands that power and gas may need to be turned off to complete some of the work. If the city or utilities require electric meter upgrades or gas meter upgrades or, any additional work not included in the original quote, then a written quote will be submitted for approval before the job can continue. No landscape repair is included in areas where any trenching, underground boring, or holes are dug to accommodate necessary work unless specifically stated on the proposal. Repair to any unmarked utilities on private property unable to be marked by Dig Test utility locating service is not included or covered and is the customer's sole responsibility to locate and mark. I called and set an appointment at 3pm for a generator install estimate. Waited until 4pm and called to see what happened. The owner was called to another job and I was told he would stop by at around 6 If I would be home. Another no call no show. Thinking everyone may have an off day I decided to give them another chance and called a few days later for another appointment. Talked to the owner Wes and was assured he would be out this afternoon at 3pm. Guess what? Another no call no show. Not one to write bad reviews, but this place is one to stay away from if you value your time. read more
