Didn't even cut my boyfriends hair evenly. Bad work by J-Mack the "barber". His job is to provide good service & it's not good at all. -12/10

First off, $28 for MOHAWK is ridiculous, considering 50% of my hair should not be touched! In addition, the cut I received wasn't mohawk. All of my side were cut down to the same length and the barber cut some of the hair on the top by accident, which I didn't notice until I got in my car. The only part that can be considered a mohawk is how he tapered the bottom of my hair. After expressing the cut wasn't what I was asking for, I was still charged $28. My advise, be EXTREMELY precise about the what you want when going here. On the plus side I got seated quickly and the cut was quick.

Generations. I like!! My sons barber, Joe, has been cutting his hair since he was 3, so a little over 3 years now, and when he moved, we followed! This shop has a GREAT feel to it. Open and comfortable for every client, no matter what your ethnicity, or hair. It is strictly a barber shop, so no mingling of beauty, and hair, nails or anything else. Clean! New! Great location! Tons of parking! Good design flow, which means happy customers. The Barbers that I know that work here are genuinely very happy about their move, and when your Barber is happy, your head is too! Shop owner is nice too!! Each Barber has their own #, but the main # listed will get you through to the shop!! No worries if you're new & looking.

I love this place. My sons barber Myron always does a great job and I never have a problem with him squeezing us in when I call in advance. It's also nice to have a barbershop that is kid friendly on the weekends. Anyone who has frequented different barbershop on weekends should understand what I mean by that.

Pic goes with the 9/29/16 review. Look at this atrocity! 1-2" higher than it should be with a non-professional and horrid design

I went to this establishment a few weeks ago. I was excited for a change to my hair, but I can say I was completely disappointed with my outcome. I am very particular when choosing someone for a service, when it comes to hair or a haircut I have to like ALL of your work in the portfolio. I truly liked all this individuals work plus her many year of expertise. However, when she got her hands on my head I have no idea what happened! I went in for a female undercut. Well there are many undercuts but I showed her specific picture of what I wanted, and I let her know that she could free hand the design...it just needed to be cute and professional. I completely made her aware I am back in the job market seeking full time employment and doing interviews as well I am currently a substitute teacher. Based on what I saw in the mirror I have no idea what she was thinking. First of all you could clearly tell that she began the part too wide and in the picture it was more narrow. Since she started it too wide the entail made the peak of the V in the undercut 1-2" higher than what it should have been. It would've been better had she parted my hair&let me see the back 1st. Let me make this clear I don't have a problem with short hair, I have alternated between short and long hair my entire life and have been bald from chemotherapy and clearly rocked it and loved it! However, with the cut being so high it wasn't what I asked for and that is the problem. The free hand design was not cute nor professional and I didn't even know what it was. I really have no clue where she thought I was going for an interview.Friends and family back home in VA agreed it was too high and even asked what the design was and all I could say was "I have no clue". I mentioned she had skills from what I have seen in her portfolio and even one of my cousins suggested that may not have been her work, but I was like I know people do that but that would be a lot of work to steal every single picture so I doubt that because that was a lot of pictures.A natural part of my personality is analyzing body language, and maybe because prior to my illness I was and used to reading non-verbal body language as a psychologist, working in mental health, and other places, and now working in education. So I can understand why she didn't know but when you get that mirror in your hand and see your hair most people at least women smile and give a sign they like it. I said "oh ok" and gave her the mirror back. I was willing to give her a chance to rectify it but I am apprehensive about that. When I conveyed it to her that it needed to be fix she said that she couldn't tell I was disappointed and apologized. She mentioned that we obviously had a break down in communication, but I disagree with that. I was clear with what I wanted. She saw the picture and regarding the design if she wasn't clear what was professional she should have clarified that information since we apparently have two different views of what professional really is, that is clear! The only way that it looks like the peak of V is where is should be is when I place my hair in a bun. One thing I don't need is validation from other people, but ironically I haven't received one compliment since I have gotten it done. LOL. That has NEVER happened in my life, I always get at least one compliment on my hair style, hair cut or whatever. Hell I even had people approach me in public that told me I looked really good and pretty with a bald head, they thought it was a fashion thing and they were completely shocked it was because I was a cancer survivor. So again I don't care about short hair, but again I didn't get what I asked for. I am a person that likes stability. I am used to having the same stylist and/or barber or a nail tech for many many years, and I have yet to find that person since I moved to Texas (Austin). Just like I started doing my own nails because I could never find anyone worth staying with either because their work was so-so. One minute everything would be great and the next it would be horrible and instead of listening to the client and/or clarifying what the client wants they do their own thing or they were rude. So, it looks like I need to learn to do my own haircuts like I learned to do my nails, acrylic, and designs. I already do my own hair, trims, make wigs..just need to learn to braid and use clippers because I don't think I will ever find a person here for any service and it's been 6 years. After sharing the photo with my best friend even said you can't catch a break with your hair or nails, that is sad he had to mention that. Since this isn't bad braids I can take out or crochet braids that I can cut or style to make it into something if done wrong I had to get the damage assessed bc when a haircut is done it's done! There is nothing that can be done about the height, I just have to allow it to grow out and go get a design by someone else or just let my hair grow back.

I'm changing my star rating to 1. I sent my friend to get a haircut a simple clean up buzz clip and the guy charged $20! When their site clearly states $15. Never going or recommending this place again!!! ------------------------------------ I was cruising town looking for something to be open on a Monday to cut my son's hair. I showed up and the place was open (yay!). The kind gentleman took my son and asked him what he wanted. My son wanted a mowhawk and he was cool with it. Then I noticed that this was a predominately black barber shop (we are Mexican) and I straight out asked if this was a black barbershop. The barber laughed and said blacks are mostly their clients but they welcome everybody. Another funny thing is that my son had long hair (shoulder length) and he also said they don't get many clients with long hair lol. But the barber was super dope, kind of a perfectionist. He did an excellent job. I would bring back my son again. Their shop also has a cool layout and lots of TVs.

Best cut he has had to date!

Once it's time for said appointment the son (in training) nor the "owner" express any apologies for the wait. In fact Harold the barber/owner has an attitude that I even brought up the fact we were waiting. Harold was putting his hands up telling me he is respectful to his other customers. No Harold, you were rude. You know these places cancel appointments for even being 5-10 minutes late. We are at the appointment 10 minutes early and still waited 30 minutes past the appointment time. During the appointment no one is speaking at all. At the conclusion of the appointment he did not provide my son a lollipop and reported having no more although my nephews who had appointments 30 minutes prior both had lollipops and reported seeing a drawer full. That is how Harold the barber and his son treat CHILDREN when they are upset with adults. Harold reported his son being "in training and learning", however, good customer service is explaining the issue in advance and expressing your gratitude for being patient and still waiting. Terrible, terrible terrible. Also the son "in training" costs the same amount as a skilled barber...interesting. They sped off in their fancy cars and didn't look back at the conclusion of the late appointment. No bueno Harold Sr ad Jr no bueno. Also the haircut was not good at all.

A Chime of Chaos, a Staff of Stars (But Seriously, That Doorbell...)…read more For over a decade, this salon has been my sanctuary, a haven of hair-related miracles. My stylist? A veritable Michelangelo of the mane, a Picasso with a blow dryer. The staff? Angels in jerseys, their smiles as bright as freshly foiled highlights. Truly, they are the best. However, a shadow has fallen upon this once-serene landscape, a discordant note in an otherwise harmonious symphony: the HORRENDOUS DOOR CHIME. Oh, the chime! It's not merely a 'ding' or a polite 'ring-a-ling.' No, dear reader, it's a full-blown, orchestral assault, a sonic tsunami of Westminster chimes, the kind usually reserved for grand cathedrals or the dramatic climax of a period drama. Imagine, if you will: A chime that booms, a clock tower's might, Eight notes descend, in blinding, sonic light. From ceiling speakers, it crashes down with glee, A grand, loud fanfare, for all the world to see. Each entry, each exit, a thunderous, bold sound, As if Big Ben himself had suddenly been unbound. The staff, they hear it, but from a distant shore, While we, the patrons, endure the sonic roar. A mandate's echo, in each "Welcome in," A monotone greeting, where warmth should begin. The speaker's intent, to welcome with grace, But instead, it's a torture, in this hallowed space. This isn't just a chime; it's a declaration of war on tranquility. It's the sound of a grandfather clock having a midlife crisis, amplified through speakers designed to reach the deepest recesses of the salon. It's so loud, I half expect a flock of pigeons to descend from the ceiling, pecking at imaginary seeds. Dear Sport Clips of my beloved Pflugerville @ Stone Hill Town Center: I implore you, for the sake of your loyal clientele and the sanity of your staff: Please, silence this sonic beast! Replace it with a gentle tinkle, a soft melody, or even a polite knock. Anything but this relentless, ear-splitting symphony of chimes. The staff and my stylist deserve a tranquil environment, and we, your customers, deserve to enter and exit without feeling like we've just walked into a Victorian clock convention. Thank you for your consideration. And please, for the love of good hair, put an end to the Westminster 8 note volume at 11 chime in your lobby. I'll take this review down and replace it with a glowing 5 star when done, I do so swear.

The haircut was fine. But it felt like we were swindled…read more My kids got a coupon from their elementary school for a free haircut. I decided to take advantage of the coupon to get my son's hair cut. I signed up, checked in and I showed the coupon to the stylist when we arrived. Before starting she asked if I wanted to give him a shampoo. I said no, assuming that would be an add-on. Once she was done she called me back and said a shampoo and scalp massage were included. I naively believed her and consented. When she rang us up a few minutes later I was surprised at the total and asked if she was going to enter the coupon. She said she did. When I questioned about the "free haircut for new clients" she told me we had done the MVP package and that wasn't included. It's hard to not see it as dishonesty when you're told something is included, and it isn't. In summary, we went into a place thinking we were taking advantage of a coupon to save some money and try out a new place to get my son't hair cut (his first time there), and somehow ended up paying twice as much as we do at Great Clips. That's not how coupons usually work.

I booked an appt with Jonathan for the next day but there were a few others who had open slots within 24 hrs. I chose Jonathan due to seeing he had scissor cutting skills specifically since my son's hair was super long and he didn't want a fade. When we arrived it was poppin' inside. There were about 9 or 10 barbers working and all had clients back to back while we were there. The space is nice, smells a good and is clean. The barbers use high quality equipment and the furniture is not worn or torn. They play nice upbeat music and the staff was all friendly. Jonathan did a wonderful job taking his time getting to know what style cut we went in for, looking up different photo options online, getting everything just right and making sure to talk my son through how to style his new cut.
