So we have used Generation Kia a number of times, Patty B has always ben a great and knowledgeable sales person. But today was the final straw. every time we go to the finance table they are always asking for more money as the down payment and them kill you with taxes and fees. I went into the dealership this time after emailing with our salesperson because they had been calling and sending letters stating that they would wipe out our lease and the car may have appreciated i value. I stated that I would only come in to talk if they could also lower our car payment. Even before I started the in person conversation, I said I wanted a lower payment than $440 a month. They came back with $442, even with $2k as a down payment. Even after walking out and saying no deal, they kept coming out to the parking lot chasing me down to try and make the deal. Generation Kia performed Software Updates as a remedy to adjust recall and acceleration issues with the transmission. After this recall was performed I noticed that the acceleration on the car was worse so I called Kia corporate and opened case 13985544. I was advised to bring my car back to Generation Kia to inspect the car after bringing the car back and they refused to look at my car.I then decided to go ahead and call Kia corporate with case 13985544 and was told to go to bring it to another location where I would possibly have to pay for the recall work that was performed. I was unable to bring my car to another Dealership due to Covid-19. Fast forward to 12/18/21. I was 200 miles away from home on a Highway, going 55 MPH, but the check engine light did not turn on and my car, suddenly stopped accerating. A very disappointing experience with this dealership for a number of reasons. First being that yesterday I called to see if they had a specific vehicle of my color preference to which the representative, Cathy, said yes. She asked if I could make an appointment to come in and I did for 11am today. She told me that if the availability changed that she would call to let me know. No calls and in fact, on my way to driving there which is 45 minutes from my house, they called to confirm that I would be making my 11am appointment. When I arrived, they told me that they did not have the vehicle in stock and when questioned why someone didn't let me know, especially when making sure I was still keeping my appointment, they had no real suitable answer. So, waisted trip, time and gas. The second issue which is the MOST CONCERNING is that when I arrived, I came through the doors in between their Service area and current Showroom which is for general access to the public. In fact someone in Service, directed me to those doors to go to Showroom. Well, it is obvious construction is going on without any signage or roped off area. There was slick broken flooring all over the place that go right up to the entryway to the showroom area and the titled showroom floor, where I slipped when entering and had to catch myself from falling to which the salesperson that would assist me asked if I was OK. After speaking with him and finding out that they did not have the vehicle, he asked me to come with him to see if it was possibly outside in the lot, leading me through the same doorway and this time he slipped. Obviously a blatant hazard without any regard to customer safety. I told the salesperson at the door when I was leaving that they needed to do something about that area to which he was dismissive to me about. Went in to check out leasing a new Sportage plug in hybrid. The salesman, Amy, was nice enough, pushy, but what do you expect. Some background... I bought my current car (Lincoln) for around 55K new and was paying, everything included, around $490 (lease) a month. The Sportage Plug-in hybrid starts, base model, at around 38K and the msrp from what she showed me for the model I test drove was 45K fully loaded. 10K less than what I payed for my car, yet the payments would be well over $800 a month for a 36 month lease. That wasn't even including the tax and fees. Maybe it's just me, but the math Just doesn't add up, regardless of interest rates going up 2-3%. The offer was for 10k miles a year as well and with my present car it was 12k miles. Probably should mention, I was able to build my car at Lincoln and not just take whatever they had in stock. Yet they want more money for a lower end car, so greedy. I was already skeptical seeing all the horrible reviews on here. Hate dealerships, straight up thieves. read more

Have leased three vehicles with Generation Kia in Bohemia. My lease is up in a few months and NO ONE has called me after I have called and personally went there to talk about a fourth new lease. Only call I received was from a woman who constantly called me "hun" (which to me was unprofessional) and only said the gentleman I did speak with when I went there was on leave. That was about 1-1/2 months ago and no one has contacted me to discuss a new lease. Tried to see if owner would contact me but was told his associates handle that. Guess I have to search elsewhere. I arrived to buy a car and would never go back ever again. The process took over 5 hours and we were treated with utter disrespect. The workers were very snarky with their responses and were very unwelcoming. They argued about our cashier checks (needed to OFAC the cashier check), the age of the car and if we had the second key (that they had lost). They wrongly accused us of having stolen the second key for the car. One of the snarky associates called us liars and wondered if we actually had the second key. After an excruciating 45 minutes, they had later found the key because a worker had misplaced it and there was no apology for this error. Found that dealer had an EXCELLENT inventory of luxury pre owned vehicles. My first thought was, impressive for a "KIA" dealer. The website displayed 7 Mercedes vehicles that were currently available. Once I decided that the 2014 C350 Coupe 4Matic fit my wish list, I headed to the dealer. Arrival at the dealership. My first impression was, "very clean and well organized used car lot. I was able to find the 2014 C350 Coupe 4Matic immediately. It was EXACTLY as displayed on the website. Just to make certain that it was the best fit for me, out of the 7 available, I walked the used car lot and found them all. Although ALL 6 other were near MINT condition, I landed on the 2014 C350 Coupe 4Matic. Walking the LOT. While looking around for 20 minutes, I was surprised that I was not approached by a salesperson. Some buyers might find this acceptable, but I personally do Not. Since I was there to Definitely BUY the 2014 C350 Coupe 4Matic, I thought, Wow, this is going to be so easy for the sales person, whichever one greets me first. After walking the lot alone for 20 minutes, I decided to go inside. I utilized the door closest to the used car lot on the East side of the building. Once inside, I made eye contact with 3 people sitting at desks and then headed westward past a spinning "Free Trip" wheel, towards the second half of the showroom. The showroom is very well lit and super clean. The vehicles are displayed well. I was not "put off" by anything related to the facilities. "Can I help you", stated the lucky salesperson who is unknowingly going to write up a deal in the next few minutes. "My name is Alex". Alex is Brand new (2 weeks) in the business. Alex's attitude was excellent. He was super friendly and eager to do a good job. Knowing that it was hot outside, Alex immediately offered me a bottle of water. When he returned, he actually gave me 2 bottles. The experience with Alex could not have been better. I advised him early on that I wanted to pick up the car the next day and as long as the price was fair, we had a deal. My offer was lower that Alex could go, so he brought in Trish. Trish made a fair counter offer and also included some free oil changes, very nice. Was surprised to be informed that the service dept. has a hair and nail salon available, while you wait for your vehicle. Great idea!!! Picking up the vehicle the next day. Alex came in on his day off, I felt bad, but he insisted. The car was detailed to near perfection. Alex even filled up the gas tank himself. In conclusion. I was impressed with the selection of pre-owned vehicles as well as the look and feel of the dealership. Although brand new to the business, Alex was spot on where in counts. I can see Alex as someone who will be successful in whatever he chooses. I have already recommended Alex and GK to several family members and friends. I will personally be back, when my wife is ready to upgrade to a newer Mercedes. It was never my intention to buy a car. Actually, my brother's car broke down the day before and the repairs cost more then his car was worth. So I decided since it was President's Day to start shopping for him. We went to two dealers with nothing he liked. Finally we decided to go to "Generation Kia" in Bohemia. It wasn't far from my house so we planned to get prices than head back to my house. When we arrived, my brother, saw the car he always wanted. He looked at the Optima and couldn't take his eyes off it. We made our way inside to talk to a sales man and I stopped in my tracks to see a Audi. It was love at first sight and the car was open. That was a sign I should sit in it. I couldn't believe a fully equipped Audi was there and priced great. I tried to downplay my excitement but if you were there you could tell I wanted it, thankfully I got the right dealer. Inside Juan Carlos, asked "Can I help you?" I quickly busted out "yes" and told him about the two cars. JC, as he liked to be called, made sure we got to test drive both cars. During the test drive JC, joked about how fast we should go, and he also made great conversation. After drooling for about half a hour, he asked us what we wanted to do. I told him let's see what happens and let's get the process started. JC was amazing! He secured two good deals, we would be a fool to pass up. It took about 7 hours in total to get both cars ready, but the end result was worth it. Both cars are great and I was so happy to see how much my brother loved his car. I would recommend this place to anyone. Funny, this was supposed to be a day to get my brother a car, and as twins, we both walked away with new cars. These guys are the worst type of CROOKS and prey on old ladies. DON'T EVER BUY A CAR HERE! My 78 year old mother was written up for over $11000 over sticker price. I have worked selling cars and never seen something so blatantly criminal. The bill has only one extra listed on it at $3000 the rest they literally just added with no explanation and nothing written on bill. So she has no proof or way to show that she is even entitled to any sort of extra service or coverage. What a disgusting way to treat a widow of a Colonial and American war hero. They also made her wait for around 8 hours to leave with her vehicle so by they time she signed and received her vehicle she was starving and no longer had the energy to properly review her bill. She was just dieing for the painful experience to be over. Then to make it even better the new safety features in vehicle only work about 50% of the time. They work just enough that they are more likely to get you in an accident then to ever prevent one. It is sad yelp wont let you put less then one star. In the waiting area they have complimentary coffèe and snacks. There is an enclosed children's play room. If I could leave 0 stars for Generation GMC I would. Short version of the story is...We placed an order for a specific 2023 Sierra build in May 2023. We were the 1st order for the new dealership. We were told 3-6 months for delivery, we were okay with that but after 3 months and no movement on the order we placed an additional order for the same build but a 2024 model. We went through 3 salespeople and even dealt with the sales manager J. Greene. NO ONE at that dealership made any effort to help us. They never called us , we did all the chasing of information. It got to the point that I had a case number with GMC. No one at that dealership made an effort in the 9 months I (stupidly) dealt with them. They apparently were not going to make enough money off of me to use their "allotments" to get my truck into production. We found out from our final salesperson that they had plenty of special builds come in. Like I said, they weren't going to make enough money off of us so they just pushed the order off time and again. My advice is find a different dealership and make sure to read all the reviews not just the 5 star ones. Worst experience ever! I would never use this dealership or recommend it to anyone. read more

Would not recommend. In fact, actively not recommending. Leased a Telluride in 2020. They were supposed to pay off current lease. Ignored reminders that payment hadn't been received until the very day the payment was due. They apparently had the wrong address and now had to hand deliver payment at the very last minute. Fast forward to the end of the lease. We get a letter being signed by General Sales Manager, Joseph Catalanotto, saying that they can buy back the lease early and get us in a new Telluride for way under what were paying a month. We new the letter was a bait and switch so we ignored it. Then we get several calls from Melina following up on the letter sent. I told her we weren't going to waste our time coming in for a a bait and switch. She said no, of course not. I asked if there were even new comparable Tellurides there to make this deal. She looked it up and said there was one. One comparable Telluride. I again tell her we don't want to waste our time. She assured us we wouldn't be. My husband called back to make appointment for Saturday since we couldn't come in sooner. The letter "expired" the Friday, the day before, but she said that was ok. Then Saturday morning, she aggressively called twice confirming our appointment. Guess what? We get there, the dealers have no knowledge of our appointment or if the letter and they had no knowledge of every having the ONE comparable Telluride that Melina's department eventually informed him had already sold. Complete waste of time. I then called Melina back and asked why she didn't tell us this car sold already when she called twice to confirm our appointment. No answer. Her manager, Latoya gets in the phone, never identifying herself as someone other than Melina and says she will look further into this and call me back that day to see what they could do so it wouldn't feel like we wasted our time. Guess what? She never called back. I wonder if General Sales Manager Joseph Catalanotto knows these letters are going out under his name. Probably not, but I doubt he cares. read more

If I could give Generation GMC/Buick 0 stars, I would. It started out very promising. The staff was friendly, eager to answer questions and appeared to be willing to do whatever it takes to accommodate clients in closing a deal. This included a written document drawn up by management and the salesperson stating that they would beat rival dealerships by 10% on the same vehicle just to earn new business. All seems great! However, when such documents were presented from rival dealerships with lower deals, this dealership decides to back out of the written commitment. They decide to hang up on you when you call, pretent to not be available all of a sudden and full on lie about the details of the document made from management. These people are dishonest and won't honor agreements if it turns out that they won't make as much money on a deal. I've bought many cars in my day, but I have NEVER seen management write documents stating that they will absolutely beat the deal by 10% and then never honor it when such deals are presented. This was the worst car buying experience of my life. I have purchased many new and used cars over the years. I own a Kia already and like the brand. I went to this dealership because they had the exact certified pre-owned car that I wanted to buy. Generation Kia is a terrible dealership and was very frustrating to work with. They tried all the old tricks in the book regarding pricing, delivery and sales experience. From trying to manipulate rates, denying CPO when the the listing for the car clearly says Certified Pre-Owned to only having one key available for a 2022 car that was used in their dealership as a loaner. I was not going to leave without a "we owe" on a second key. It took me well over a month to get the key, multiple visits and I had to jump through hoops. I could expand on the experience but it is too much to write. Ray was a good sales person and he tried to help but I think he had his hands tied with the bad business practice of ownership / management, (my opinion). I have a year of maintenance with the purchase and life time NY State inspections. I am considering not taking advantage of this because of having to go to this dealership. Went to Generation Kia with my sister in law who was in the market for a used car. We met with Hank the sales representative and Mark the Finance manager. I can tell you that they were absolute gentlemen. They treated us with respect and made the car buying process so easy. We literally walked in the door at 10:30 and we walked out with a car that was detailed too to bottom by 3:30. That's not bad considering shoppers my around, test driving the vehicle, getting the loan approved and having the car cleaned up. The GM Ron personally sat down with me and we had a general conversation about life. He didn't pressure us into anything and I felt as if a family member was helping me out. I once again tell him no. he brings it down to 1220 over MSRP. I asked to speak to the manager when the manager comes out he says 1720 over MSRP is the lowest he will go. I explain I was just offered it for 1220 over. His only reply is that the salesman isn't allowed to make an offer. He seriously throws the guy under the bus in front of us and takes all his power away. It was almost closing time so we said we'd put a refundable deposit and let them know the next day. After thinking it over we decide we won't pay 1720 extra just because it's the color we want. We are told that next morning that he will refund the deposit. later that day we get texted again saying someone wants to buy it and he'll let it go for the 1220 over if we still want it. We told them no and to refund the deposit. After calling the dealership later and asking, we're told the vehicle is there and available. I text the salesman and am told the vehicle is gone. I tell him that's not what I was just told when I called. He texts back saying, sorry it fell through. he says we have until 7:00 to accept his final offer of 1220 over asking and if not he will refund us. right before 7 we decide to bit the bullet. I text asking for a picture of the sheet with the offer. he texts the same sheet from the day before a 1720 over. I call him out on it am told the manager said no, 1720 over or nothing. Where do I begin. I came in for what I was told was a covered issue under 100,000 miles. My car had been ticking due to an internal engine issue. The guy Orlando who was helping take my information was clearly on something didn't know left from right. He ends up getting fired the next day after charging me $500.00 for spark plugs and some other non sense. I come back a day later for the car. Ticking was still there. Drive down sunrise and break down. Call the dealership. Bring the car back. Get the loaner car. Three days later my car is "fixed" so I am like ok great. So I get the car. The ticking is still there. They tell me now the car needs an oil change which is a lie. They do some BS inspection to make sure nothing is "gunked up" after I brought receipts from the past 6 months proving my car has been well maintained.. We were looking for another vehicle as well and figured we would look while we were at the dealership. They charge me $500.00 to view a van I had been interested in. They say it was a security deposit so I agreed to that. After deciding I'm done with them I just want my car back and to never return I realize my card got charged an additional $500.00. I had to threaten them with making a complaint to the Better Business Bureau to get my refund. The manager Nicole in sales was super rude and ignored me. I got a refund two MONTHS later. I would give Generations a zero star if possible...my first service was for a transmission "bleeding" that I was told was "regular maintenance" and not covered under my warranty...Vincent a service rep replaced one of my rear shocks...this is not good practice...both shocks should have been replaced to maintain proper balance of the rear shocks...and charged me $100 more than the quoted price... I gave them a 2nd chance...my transmission is still banging and now started slipping... I brought the car in at 7:30am...by 3pm I hadn't heard from them...I arrived to find NO work done in my car!!!...not even the oil change I requested...Michele the service rep that first took information called Chris the service manager that gave me a BS excuse about being "short staffed" abd could I leave the car overnight to perform the diagnostic test on my transmission....when I got upset over the work not being done...Michele and Chris yelled profanities at me... DONT USE GENERATIONS KIA FOR AUTO REPAIRS!!!....BEWARE!!! read more

James, the mechanic George and the young man who informed the customers on the car service, were exceptional hospitable and exceptionally professional. Because of those customer service qualities my time spent there at Kia was worth it. I will be returning for an oil change at some point......when customer service is A+ you are compelled to return. I had break pads, alignment and rotors serviced, the mechanic took his time to provide me with the best service. My car engine blew generation Kia fixed it then the day I got my car back I turned ac on had never had an issue with ac in my whole time owning this car guy Anthony in service was no help never one problem with my car till now I will never use this place again in my life they are no help here at all and do not take responsibility for there mess up not my fault it's warranty work read more

We went to purchase a used car. A lot of thrown in last minute fees. On the day of pickup they called to tell me the car was not eligible for a warranty. This was after they negotiated the price with warranty and manager approval. They tried the typical hard sell. But if they don't know their products and trust their products than do not trust them. Overall terrible experience. read more

I went there over the thanksgiving weekend as my parents just bought a car from there and they had a good experience . I looked at a few cars and saw the one immediately I wanted. We test drove the car and it was great. We did all the paperwork and we were there a good part of the day. When we were about to leave the car didn't start, really not happy at that point! They gave us a loaner car to take home. Later that day they called us to pick the car back up. My father picked up the car it was running fine all weekend. Today 11/27 car doesn't start at all imagine my surprise ! My brand new 2014 Kia doesn't work.This dealership and it's entirety has left a way bad taste in my mouth. Always better to get a higher end car as those dealers take proper care of their customers. Not a fan of Kia anymore read more
