    Well the pandemic bloom has certainly come off the Peloton rose. New CEO, cratering stock price,…read moremassive store closures, layoffs and significant price hikes on the subscription-based exercise bikes that are oh so 2020. What could go wrong. Basically, the physical bike is the Trojan Horse in this deal, the real money is in the $50+ monthly subscription to the live exercise classes moderated by their highly caffeinated army of instructors whose idea of motivation is taken straight from your friendly, neighborhood police state. I did a two week trial, thankfully the deprogramming worked and I thought better of it. Five years from now the only remaining question will be... "whatever happened to Peloton?" One flabby star.

    I walked into the Peloton store on a Friday afternoon just to get a little more information about…read morethe bikes and their price ranges. There's a small showroom and a room where you can try out their products in the back. I was greeted pleasantly by Adrian, the manager. She took time to ask me some questions about what I was looking for and she showed me the different options that are offered. She didn't come off as a salesperson; she came off as someone that was genuinely interested in helping me get the product that I wanted. When I told her I wasn't ready to commit at that time, she accepted the feedback without being pushy. She asked if it was ok to contact me the following week just to see if I had any questions. I gave her my contact information and she told me Brian would contact me on Wednesday. On Wednesday, I was contacted by Brian but I couldn't take the call so he left a very professional voicemail and asked me to give him a call when I had time. When I called him back, I told him I was going to stop in to discuss options for purchase. I went to the store and before I could even say a word, I was greeted by name by Brian and Adrian letting me know that they were glad to see me and that they were waiting for me. I sat down with Brian and told him what I was looking for and why I was getting it. He showed me the bikes, told me about the options and the deals available for Mother's Day. He showed me exactly what I wanted. He was very personable and very professional. He was a great representation for the company. Covid protocol: they check your temperature as soon as you walk in and then ask you to go use hand sanitizer. There were three associates in the store and there were never more than three customers in the store at a time. Masks and social distancing were enforced. If there were more than 3 people in the store, they had to wait in line outside until someone left. The process to finance the bike was quick and easy. They didn't require much personal information. They only requested the last four of my social security number (versus my whole SSN) which I appreciated. After my purchase was complete, I was initially told that delivery might be delayed 2-3 months because of the high demand. I was bracing for the worst but Brian checked the system and told me he had delivery available for the following Saturday. The delivery was scheduled for one week from the purchase date and went off without a hitch. Delivery was scheduled between 12-2 on Saturday. The delivery driver called from the road to confirm our address, told me he was about a half hour out and arrived within a half hour. Two delivery men arrived. They told me they could put our bike together outside and then bring it in if I was more comfortable or they could come in and set it up inside. They came in with masks and set everything up for us. They were blocking our neighbor's driveway so I had to run down to grab them to move the truck and they did so pleasantly and quickly. The setup process was a quick and easy 15-20 minutes. I did have to call customer service when they were setting up the bike because I was having some technical difficulties. The delivery guys patiently waited despite having 5 more deliveries to go. Someone answered the phone immediately without any wait time. My call was redirected. Everyone I spoke to along the way was friendly and helpful and my problem was solved. The whole purchase process of purchasing our Peloton was smooth and seamless. They made it a super easy process which I appreciated. There was no hassle and no pressure. They offer notch customer service all the way around. We are loving our new Peloton and would highly recommend not only the bike, but supporting the company. Peloton as a company more than exceeded my customer service expectations and I would highly recommend them!
