Our floor is cracking, since they had to drill into the slab to relocate the stove, and never leveled it. took them 8 Months to do the project. Sometimes we wouldn't see them for weeks at a time. They have certain vendors they work with, for flooring and cabinets. Unfortunately we went with them. There was mold on the drywall behind the sink and cabinets. They were not going to replace it, We saw it and asked Will If he was going to replace it. He said and I quote " O you want us to replace it" I mean you could put your finger through it.They only did 1 section of it, not the whole thing. Also the flooring that we got had some backing that did not "require" underlayment, however, since we are on a slab, you would think this contractor with so many years experience would have recommended underlayment. It is hard and cold and as I said cracking. It's disappointing, and with all the $$$ we spent, We will never have them back at our home. The painters he had were not good. So many drips, and they painted over nails, that we were told would be removed. Also the the hinges were also painted over On the doors. When Demo is done to the extent we had it, they should have replaced all of the drywall, and baseboards. However they reused most of the baseboards. And did not replace any drywall that they didn't have to work on. This house was built in 1967. The drywall should have been replace, as well as all the baseboards .

Our front porch steps needed replaced due to water damage. Bob came out and I described what needed…read moredone. I told him that I wanted plastic boarding to be used. He said ok, he will get back to me with a proposal & price in a couple days. I got his proposal via email. It had the amount and he said it would take 2 days to complete. He started work 3 days later. After working on the first steps, he said that he didn't include plastic boarding for the sides of the steps and he would not pay for it. So I had to research and find out who carried the plastic boards, order and pay for them online before he would pick them up. It cost me an extra $70 above the proposed cost for the work. He made a mistake with the bottom plastic board (cut too short). So he had to get another at his cost. But he cut it too short also. He then asked me if he could paint or caulk it to make it look better. I told him that I wanted the plastic board to go the full length across the bottom of the steps, so it would look right. He got mad, drove off, got another piece of plastic, came back & installed it "improperly" and left without letting us know he was done with the job. I do not trust him to repair it correctly, even though his invoice states (1) one year warranty on workmanship. My neighbor and I will repair his faulty work on our own time. I would not recommend Bob's Jobs for work of any kind to anyone! Bruce Jenkins 1212 Burlington Road Virginia Beach, VA

Whitney Construction completed a full renovation of our two-story home, and we couldn't be happier…read more Communication, knowledge, and budget were the main reasons we chose Rich, and he truly delivered in every area. From day one, Rich was upfront about timing and costs. We lived in the home during the renovation, and I always knew who would be there and when. The worksite was cleaned daily, which made a huge difference and showed real care and respect for our space. He also provided a clear list of decisions we needed to make to keep everything on track and on budget. Rich was always honest about costs and timelines when we discussed ideas, and I really appreciated his transparency. The quality of work was outstanding--everyone who came through our door was clearly top-notch, and Rich was always happy to answer my many questions. This was a major project, including removing load-bearing walls and installing steel beams, but Rich runs a tight ship and kept steady progress throughout. The project finished on time, and we're beyond happy with the results. We loved working with him so much that we decided to continue on to the upstairs instead of taking a break. I'm writing this today from our beautiful new home and would highly recommend Whitney Construction.
