I scheduled an appointment and her booking system says to text her number to reach her so I reached out to confirm and didn't get a response. I figured it was okay since I got the automated messages reminding me about my appointment. As the appointment got closer, I also reached out to let her know I might be a couple minutes late due to a BART delay and didn't get any confirmation so I didn't even know if she was going to be at the appointment. Upon my arrival, she told me she received my messages which is great but as a customer, a confirmation of receiving the message would have made me feel more confident in the process. I clarified the number to contact her and she said yes, that is her number and ok to reach out to. I paid $200 for a butterfly tooth gems. Stayed away from crunchy food and was careful brushing teeth and researching on tooth gem after care to make sure that they stayed on but unfortunately one didn't even last a week. Again they were $200 and I even gave Marsha an extra $15 to help her with her move to LA trying to be supportive of the next era of her life. So I reached out again regarding the gems falling off to Marsha over text to no avail. In total there are 3 messages sent from when I booked to after the appointment that have not been responded to. At this point I'm taking this as a sunk cost and wish there was more follow up, recourse and attention after the price I paid. I'm know she moved recently so I guess there is nothing I can do. I generally am understanding but feel like there should be attention to paying customers. I found someone else in the Bay Area that does tooth gems who replaces the gems free of charge if they fall off within 2 months. Something along those lines even recommendations for tooth gems artists while she's gone would have been a great help and would have restored my confidence in supporting Diente Dulce but unfortunately, if you reach out - just don't expect a response :/ not to mention that there was a reaction to some kind of chemical used on my lip that made it swell

After searching for a new dentist (due to moving) I was enthusiastically recommended Dr. Martenson by a co-worker. Since being a patient at Piedmont Dental by Design, I have had a cleaning, numerous composites/fillings and a new crown installed. During my first visit, it was made clear that Dr. Martenson (or someone on her team) read through my chart, as she specifically brought up my proclivity to not numb well. Instead of wasting time in the beginning of my restorative care appointments by giving me the standard dose, she has given me extra anesthetic, to ensure I am comfortable. Her injection technique is also amazing, as I haven't felt the usual pinch of pain. Reading a patient's chart shouldn't be impressive, but I find most doctors ask questions I've already answered and act surprised when I give a response. My composites and crowns are also the most cosmetically impressive work I have ever had. My newest crown looks exactly like a real tooth. The other 5 from previous dentists all have an opaqueness which screams "fake". My composites also blend flawlessly into the tooth. Manny was my hygienist- he was gentle, communicative, and did an excellent job removing years of coffee stains I thought were forever. The office staff has submitted necessary paperwork to my insurance in a very timely manner. I did have to pay for procedures in full, then wait for a reimbursement check. I could see this as problematic for people, but they did offer me a payment plan. As for the actual prices, I've googled and talked to friends about what they pay for various procedures...for the quality of work and care, I think every dime is well spent here.
