I think of Gemini as being the most popular taxi service in Exeter, they are certainly my choice, but that probably has a lot to do with their very memorable phone number. If I were them, I'd do something with that, advertising wise. Anyway, far from being the 'taxi firm of the devil', Gemini are actually a very reliable local firm with plenty of taxis on their books. I have always found them to be polite (both the drivers and the receptionist) and prompt. Their charges are also reasonable. I've always got their number in my phone for emergencies, but I know I'll remember it anyway! read more

I have had a few bad experiences with this company, I use their taxis regularly, hoping they might improve but I will now be taking my business elsewhere. Their drivers have regularly driven through red lights with me in the back, they speed, and are late to pick you up with no apology given. When I have been a little late (because I am getting off a train, and they are aware of the train I am on), they have left, given no reason, and refused to send another taxi. There are a few good drivers who are fantastic, but unfortunately the majority of drivers I have had have been awful and unsafe, and I won't be using them again. read more

Worst service you can ever experience. They not only arrived more than half an hour later than they said they would but when i called them to ask them whether my cab was on its way they simply said "yes it is" and hung up. when the cab finally came i told them how long i waited and asked politely if they offered a discount but the guy on the phone said "just get out of the cab and walk, then". will never trust gemini again. Despite several phone calls I have not been able to establish what happened to my Taxi booked and confirmed to pick me up at 05:30 this morning. It seems that the driver arrived half an hour too early but I missed a call from him, timed at 05:05 to say that he had arrived. It was missed because of problems with my phone. After waiting for some time after 05:30 I gave up and went to make a phone call. By now it was after 06:00 and the 'controller' who answered said that he could not do anything to after 08:00. The phone call kept being interrupted by somebody shouting across him but I did manage to say that he did not seem at all concerned at what had happened. He agreed that he was not at all concerned and had enough to do including answering the telephone which initially had taken him a long time to answer. Given the previous level of service that I have experienced during the last week as a new customer I was astonished at this dismissive attitude. I spoke to a friend this afternoon who frequently used Gemini Taxis. They said that Gemini has its lapses and the company are unconcerned because they have so many customers. Another friend told me that the problem was probably due to overbooking and that seems to be the case. I am astonished that Gemini are prepared to let people down in this way, not be able to rectify a problem and the incredible way in which I was spoken to. read more
