Stewart arrived early to make sure we left the house on time, dressed in shirt and tie, and ensured we had a very enjoyable trip to London. After all, the airport transfer is part of the holiday! We would like to thank Stewart for his professionalism and for a super smooth journey, and look forward to contacting him again for our next journey

This is a fantastic park that has recently been updated , you will find a good range of caravans…read morewhich are all very clean and tidy. You will also find a laundrette , play area , swimming pool ,shop and a clubhouse that has a bar. The park is clean and tidy and the staff are very friendly and helpful. You will find great entertainment for the whole family , the last time I was there we were unable to take a buggy into the clubhouse but I don`t know if that has changed. The shop is well stocked and is quite resonable or you can leave the park and walk down the hill where you will find a variety of shops at good prices , just be warned though you then have to walk back up the hill! I really recommend this park their holiday prices have always been cheap I just hope that now they have been taken over by a big company that they won`t hike up the prices.

St David's Station is located just outside of town in Exeter. You can catch the train to most…read moreplaces e.g. London, Cornwall, Plymouth, Bristol, and further afield. There is a WHSmith as you enter the station where you can buy drinks, snacks, magazines, books etc for the journey, and there is a cafe where you can purchase hot drinks, sandwiches, cakes etc. This is nice when you're travelling at 6am! The car park at the station is quite large, but is costly to park all day. You can, however, travel in by bus - the H1/H2 bus stops right outside the station, so is very convenient. You can purchase tickets at the station, and they also have a fast-ticket machine if you have bought your tickets before and need to pick them up. There are various platforms, with a footbridge over the lines to get to the ones on the far side. I believe there is a lift as well. There is a waiting room on each platform to keep you warm on cold days too

Used this station a number of times…read more The carpark isnt to bad if parking long term since (well it wwas when i parked) £6 for 24 hours or thereafter so you can park as long as you need. The station entrance is quite small, although there is some self service ticket machines, a WH Smith and the travel desk. The platforms are well sign posted, clean and tidy, although as always they lack bins! The only one I found was outside of the station and that was full up.

My first trip to the UK and the first hotel I stayed in. I didn't know what to think at first. The…read morestaff was friendly and accommodating but coming from the US, the home of huge hotels this was very downsized and seemed old in comparison. But it quickly became one of my favorites. We had a room overlooking the street which I liked a lot. And breakfast was awesome, they go all out. Since it was my first trip there I had the full English breakfast and if you do that you really are good until evening. You could also modify the breakfast to suit your taste. Very clean hotel as well. ALSO this hotel is only about a 7 minute walk to the train station, very convenient. If I return to Exeter I WILL stay here.

I couldn't believe the wonderful location of my room in this hotel. My room looked out onto a…read morewooden platform (where I could have sat if it had ever stopped raining) and then over rolling hills and the countryside. The room was small but lovely, the bed was very comfortable and the tv had a decent number of channels for the short time I would be spending in the room. The location of the hotel itself is really good, near the Exeter St Davids station and not too far from the city centre. Breakfast was ok..I don't really like English breakfasts so I had to ask for certain things to be left off which they didn't always get right. The worst thing about my stay was the light coloured curtains. It was impossible to avoid the early morning sun pouring into the room and waking me up before 7am (fine on any other day, but not on holiday). The staff were friendly and If I come back to Exeter I might well stay here again.

My misses left her handbag on our outbound journey in the taxi. The driver wouldn't return it until we offered money to get the bag back... this was even after we tipped him generously on dropping us off. On the return journey we waited for 10 minutes outside after being told the taxi would be 20 minutes. After stepping inside out of the cold, the taxi turned up 5 minutes early and again drove off without calling us. We had to call them again after realising, to get the taxi to turn round. Once we eventually arrived home, the fare was more than double the outbound journey. Absolute charlatans!!! Do not use and avoid like the plague. Unhelpful, ignorant customer service. If anyone does eventually show up to collect you make sure you're in the exact position you called in other side they'll drive off within 30 seconds.

Have just had an enjoyable 6 night half board stay…read more Fantastic value with to and from coaching from the Midlands included plus a whole day coach excursion. Food was good, though fairly basic with limited choice, but with good sized portions and well cooked, service was first class with staff always helpful and friendly. The hotel a little run down with bedrooms in need of decoration and general refurbishment, but all the essentials in good order and clean, towels and bed linen brilliant white. Good functional TV provided plus tea making facilities with generous supplies. A well stocked bar with good entertainment was available, mostly bingo but never the less a happy atmosphere. One wall of the dining room covered with Thank- you cards and the guest book at reception full of favourable comment. If you are prepared to turn a blind eye to the scruffy bedroom décor, then this should prove an ideal location for a basic and cheap holiday break.
