St David's Station is located just outside of town in Exeter. You can catch the train to most places e.g. London, Cornwall, Plymouth, Bristol, and further afield. There is a WHSmith as you enter the station where you can buy drinks, snacks, magazines, books etc for the journey, and there is a cafe where you can purchase hot drinks, sandwiches, cakes etc. This is nice when you're travelling at 6am! The car park at the station is quite large, but is costly to park all day. You can, however, travel in by bus - the H1/H2 bus stops right outside the station, so is very convenient. You can purchase tickets at the station, and they also have a fast-ticket machine if you have bought your tickets before and need to pick them up. There are various platforms, with a footbridge over the lines to get to the ones on the far side. I believe there is a lift as well. Used this station a number of times. The carpark isnt to bad if parking long term since (well it wwas when i parked) £6 for 24 hours or thereafter so you can park as long as you need. The station entrance is quite small, although there is some self service ticket machines, a WH Smith and the travel desk. The platforms are well sign posted, clean and tidy, although as always they lack bins! The only one I found was outside of the station and that was full up. read more

What can one say about a train station? This one has a W.H.Smith and a Starbucks in the concourse, a well staffed ticket counter, and 6 platforms. .it is well kept and tidy, and the staff are quite courteous. Today was my lucky day. They even had live music courtesy of a busker, and he was quite pleasant to listen to. read more

The staff at the station are very helpful. Its a very clean station, perhaps not as modern and chic as other stations closer to London but by no means a shabby station! St David is a Complete wheelchair Accessible Station, the staff are friendly and helpful. NEarly also turn up on time to get off trains. Their is Lift access to all the placeforms and tiotets on planforms 1 and 5/6. read more

This shop is ok, but only stocks sweets, magazines and books. Clearly the contents of the shop is aimed purely at commuters, which is fine, but does lead to a lack variety. The books are never on a particularly good special offer. Sometimes there is a multibuy offer, but you do not ever see really extreme reductions. The selection of sweets is a bit worrying; presumably smiths think that all the commuters live on a pure diet of chocolate. I would like to see a better selection of fresh fruit, and perhaps a selection of fat free salads next to the cash register. read more

Probably not as grand as London stations, nevertheless it still looks nice with clean platforms and nice, helpful staff! You will notice something artistic when you walk up/down staircases :P There are wheelchair access points and different useful leaflets to pick, including good spots of Devon and even the 09 version of Lundy Island tides-schedules! A restaurant and an okay WHSmith are also visible in station. From station to uni would take 15 min; to city centre 20min. read more

As far as stations go this isn't the best one ever but it has handy car parking right infront of the station which is not to dear. This station is quite plain but what can you expect from a station. The shop sells a basic range or sweets, drinks and magazines nothing fancy but very useful. read more
