Went on a snorkeling trip with Gemini and had a great time. They made the beach loading super easy and there was plenty of room on the boat for everyone. We saw at least 4-5 groups of humpback whales, with a couple of mom-baby pairs on the way to the snorkel location. While snorkeling, we saw so many turtles and even a couple of small reef sharks! The on-board photographer was also great-she took some amazing photos both on the boat and underwater. Would definitely sail with Gemini again on a return trip! read more

I booked this tour mostly for the snorkeling experience. it's advertised as a snorkeling and whale watching trip. however we spent the vast majority of the time whale watching. we did stop to snorkel however instead of a beautiful secluded cove as the advertisement leads you to believe we ended up at an old delapidated pier that we could have driven our car too. We had to fight a current and there was only one type of fish that looked tropical. There really weren't any colorful schools of fish. I would have booked with another company had I known. If your priority is whale watching this is your tour but not for snorkeling. The staff on board were amazing and super friendly. read more

We booked the afternoon snorkeling trip and the sunset cruise on the Gemini last minute on a recent trip to Maui. We had an amazing time on both excursions. We are a family of 4 with two kids ages 7 and 9 and we all had a great time. The boat ride to get to the snorkeling location was fun and the snorkeling was great. We saw lots of turtles and fish and an eel. The crew were friendly, and helpful with serving drinks as well as getting our kids fitted with snorkel gear. The lunch and drinks served on the boat on the way back were great. We did the sunset cruise the next night and had a fantastic time on that as well. It was a beautiful ride, good food and drinks and the crew were fun and great bartenders. We brought our kids on this as well and they loved it too. There weren't many kids on board but it still felt family friendly. The boat wasn't packed so everyone has a seat and there's plenty of room to move around, and see the ocean and the sunset. The other passengers were friendly and it was a relaxing and fun evening on the water. I would do both again. read more

Excellent time snorkeling on the z Gemini. We booked 11:30-3:30 which included a buffet lunch and mai tais ln the return trip. Food was excellent, staff was attentive. We snorkeled in Honolua Bay and it was the best snorkeling experience of my life. Saw colorful coral, so many types of fish, many turtles. We missed it but someone saw a shark. Fantastic experience start to finish and worth every penny! From what I saw of other boats, Gemini takes enough passengers to fill the boat, but not overcrowd it like others do. A wonderful charter for a 3 hour tour. Actually 4-ish hours, but who's counting. The whole crew was amazing. Very professional, friendly and helpful. We got in the vessel in front of the Westin and sailed about 45 minutes to a beautiful reef area with wild turtles, fish and dolphins. Off in the distance was breaching humpback whales. They allow about 45 minutes or so of snorkeling (they provide all equipment) and then a nice buffet spread of fried rice, teriyaki chicken and Hawaiian fish, fresh veggies, Hawaiian chips, cookies and an open bar. You can sit below in the catamaran cabin or up in the sun and fresh breeze either on a bench or on a net that expends out over the waves. Will def do again when returning to Maui! read more

We really enjoyed our whale watching trip with Gemini last year so thought we would go again this year. It was a bit disappointing this year. The breakfast food on this 8 AM trip was clearly just from Safeway, with cheap cinnamon rolls that ran out quickly. Last year's were more house-made and plentiful. Canned juice, really? with all the good tropical fruit juice you can buy on the island? Kate and Michael, the crew staff, were great, helpful and informative. Last year the captain was also great and shared lots of information and made a huge effort to find the whales. Not so much this time. read more

We had an amazing time on our "Gemini Snorkeling Adventure!" Our all women crew was Captain Linda, Meredith, & Kaiya and they were fantastic...easy to talk to, explaining everything clearly, and always checking to make sure we were having fun and had everything we needed. We were impressed and thankful with the company for not cancelling our trip as we only had 19 passengers/guests and the ship takes 49 guests. It was like a private outing as we had so much space on the boat. We snorkeled at Honolua Bay where we enjoyed looking at the beautiful fish and the cool turtles! (I appreciated Meredith giving some of us a refresher course in snorkeling. And in addition to giving us snorkeling equipment to use, it was nice to have the option to wear a type of floating device that can be strapped around your waist or a small paddle board.) The bonus of our trip was seeing a large pod of dolphins next to our boat on the return trip. Amazing!!! And the photographer on the ship, Jack, captured the moment, along with a lot of other great pictures (which we purchased for $75.) Wonderful experience! Hands down our favorite thing in Maui. We did the snorkel cruise which took us out to Honolua Bay for snorkeling. The crew was amazingly helpful with boarding and everything. You board right from the shore near whalers village. Getting on from the beach can be a little tricky with the surf but the crew made it a breeze. The sail out to Honolua bay was great, they provided breakfast snacks (bagels, cream cheese, fruit, juice, etc.) Some other snacks like rolls, PB&J beforehand. The surf was a little bit rough but on such a nice catamaran it wasn't really an issue. On our way out we saw several whales and a couple of pods of Dolphins which was exciting. At the bay, we received short instruction and our snorkel gear. They provided masks, fins, and flotation if needed. They had quality gear and were more than willing to help anyone who needed it. We had about an hour and 15 minutes to snorkel which was perfect. They chose a great location where we saw tons of fish, beautiful coral reefs and even several sea turtles! After we got back on the boat they served us some lunch which was delicious. All you can eat Kalua Pork, BBQ Chicken, Fruit, Rolls, Fried rice and more. They also opened up the bar for drinks. On the sail back we saw more dolphins and several more whales which were really exciting. We chose to purchase photos from the onboard photographer and we are glad we did because we got some great wildlife photos along with pictures of me and my wife. Normally I think photo packages are a ripoff but in this case, we like them. read more

My first time with Gemini was fun, but this second time was an experience that left a bad impression. We went for a sunset cruise on getting onboard we were warned about the waves when getting onboard and off the boat later. Be prepared to get wet when getting on the boat. The cruise was beautiful with nice music and fun atmosphere with light snacks. However, the problem was when we arrived back to Kaanapali. When getting off the boat, my foot got stuck in the sand when I stepped off the boat and the tide was pulling back into the ocean so I couldn't pull my foot out. The older haole lady covered in freckles kept yelling at me to move but I couldn't move my foot out and panicked... and she shoved my back and I almost fell on my face in the sand. I was humiliated and don't understand why she had to be so pushy, especially after I had a great time on the boat. read more

Wow. Service was excellent. I was throughly impressed with the service and the delicious food. They had catered food from the Westin. Pulled pork, teriyaki chicken, bread rolls, chips and salsa, guacamole, veggies and dip and all of the condiments you need. They start alcoholic beverages after snorkeling. Smart! The itinerary was perfect. Took off at 11:30 and got back at 3pm. The ride was smooth. I usually get motion and sea sick very easily but not this time! Thank goodness. The staff were very organized, helpful and knowledgeable. I give this charter and especially this crew, a 10/10.
