I will never go to jewelers row again! Frankly,I don't know how gem shopping Network can afford to give away pieces that I have seen for over 2 million dollars at the prices that they do. I have been a very good customer of gem shopping Network for years. I found a beautiful paraiba tourmaline ring in 18 karat gold. I have a paraiba pendant as well. I have purchased ruby earrings and there vendors are top-notch including Ciari, Kat Florence and of course the mysteria collection. If you desire the exotic the rare the best do not buy from any other company other than GSN. if you watched during the power hour you can literally steel gray pieces of jewelry at unbelievable prices! I love their customer service representatives and their sales people. I have never had an issue with them in all the years I've dealt with them. I highly recommend gem shopping Network for the discriminating buyer. read more

Sold me a very very flawed 3-carat Paraiba that looks cracked with human eyes and refused to take it back. Customer Service said people buy it for it's color, not it's clarity. read more

Bought a pink diamond heart pendant set in rose gold. When i received the piece at home, none of the diamonds looked pink to me, they looked white with a rose tone from the gold. I was not happy with the piece so i returned it and told them my complaint and sent a copy of the shipping receipt to try to get the shipping returned. The combined shipping was about $70.00. Im a long time customer who has purchased many items and have returned items in the past, all without complaint up till now. I was told they would have their gemologist ( I guess) look it over to make a determination. I heard nothing so I called and was told it was determined they were pink. I questioned the determination and was told they had no further information and there was nobody I could talk to about it. I questioned if he needed a microscope to determine the pinkness because In my house we don't walk around with microscopes to look at jewelry. If you can't see its pink, why buy it; but if its technically pink, we can sell it as pink and your out of luck. In my opinion, that's a horrible way to treat a good customer and a bad business practice. They did not care that I said I would no longer be a customer because of this. read more

Great company to buy jewelry from. You can get amazing deals (after having a good friend who owned a retail jewelry store and now knowing what they charge customers who are not aware of the ridiculous store front prices ) and we have learned so much about gemstones. Those who complain about the return policy.. you should ask questions before you buy. Any store will have certain return policies especially for expensive jewelry. My husband has bought me too many pieces to count from the network and has returned several with no questions asked. I love watching the show because I learn something g new everyday! Don't let the other one time shoppers scare you away from getting pieces of jewelry you pass down to your family members. Great products!! read more

I purchased rings from them that I should never have purchased and called within the 7 days to get the rma number to be able to return the rings and no hassle, (I just had to suck up and pay the return s/h and insurance). I got the perfect Tanzanite ring in my size and I adore it! Also had to get another one sized, waiting on it to come back. Another time purchased a pendant that was smaller than it looked on tv, had no problem returning it also after I got the rma number. So far I have purchased a trillion tanzanite pendant, 3 tanzanite rings and a ruby/diamond ring (getting sized) and I love them all. Only thing that is gonna hurt GSN now is that they have to charge tax, glad I already have my gems I wanted! Everyone I talked to salesman, customer service were all very nice, helpful and not pushy. read more

I suggest u go to BBB & read up. I don't believe for one second their top gemologist looked at an estate piece that absolutely had a chip in the diamond per a master bench jeweler of more than 30years. Mr.Burnett who said nothing was wrong, I don't believe he even glanced at this piece. He's a GIA since 1997. My jeweler has been at same location & doing this for over 30 years & I have never had a piece he questioned that had a problem come back incorrect. It's appalling to spend 50.00 to just look at a piece but worse yet when your expected to ask your jeweler to defend his credentials which I will not do. If Mr. Burnett had an ounce of professionalism he wouldn't even question another bench jeweler with that many years under his belt, how insulting. It tells me a great deal about Mr. Burnett's work ethic & professional way in which he doesn't do his job. I will simply chose to spend my money elsewhere. I will not soon forget this, so called expert, I suggest you think twice before doing business with this company. I now understand why they have such a large set of complaints in the service & repair department listed with the BBB. We should all read a companies record prior to doung any business with them. Lesson learned. read more

I wrote a five star review and what I ended up with is two orders being cancelled within a month. First a beautiful apatite in yellow gold, now and sphalerite also in yellow gold. Apparently these could not make it past quality control due to chips in the stones. You didn't check that before you put it out for purchase? Because otherwise what in hell did you do with them from turntable to quality control, punt them around the office? I could almost forgive one, but two within a month, the last one said there were chips around every prong (both from Cirari by the way). So how does this company keep putting out chipped stones?? Really not happy with this as I have purchased some top quality rings from them, as well as pendants and bracelets. Not seeing anyone reaching out to see if they could replace these items, so I just lose out. Does not inspire me to keep buying. As much as I have spent in the last few months, does not speak well for their future with me. read more

I have read many somewhat negative reviews on GSN but I chose to make the decision myself. I have purchased 3 items, one inexpensive ($200), one mid-range ($3,500) and one on the higher end for a TV purchase ($11,000). it just so happened the first one was a stone that had a blemish, and the two rings were just not what I was looking for and I am impressed to say GSN was in immediate contact whenever I tried to connect with Customer Service. Even though I was a new customer and had 3 return requests in a row, they were courteous, fast, and proficient in providing my RA number (Return Authorization) and credited my account for all three purchases. On the larger purchases, I did have to forgo my shipping costs but this is clearly stated in their Returns Section which is a risk you agree to take when viewing something at home. Although on the first purchase, which was a stone that had a problem, they actually followed through and returned all of my shipping costs as well. Although, I chose to return what I had purchased, I would be more than willing to purchase from them again and I am certainly sure that I will find a piece or pieces that I truly love and wish to keep. I feel comfortable to recommend them now and feel safe in making large purchases. As long as you adhere to their rules, which is to receive an RA # within 7 days of package arrival, and return to them within 30 days of purchase, they are diligent with their returns and credits. It looks like many poor reviews are for lower end purchases (maybe $500 to $1500) where they expect to see something more substantial and do not get what they expect. Unfortunately these days, there is no way to find anything amazing for that amount of money which is sad when I think of what I used to be able to purchase for less than $500 at one time. Thank you GSN. I don't write many reviews but after seeing all of these negative reviews, I believe now that at least some did not follow your instructions or were hoping to see something different. I do suggest when a customer is attempting to get the RA number for a return, do not call (they are busy and it is difficult to get through) but rather reply to customer service using the order or shipment confirmation email you receive. This way the request is in writing and now you have a dated document showing your request. They always respond. Good luck! read more

My advice on making a purchase on this "interactive" home shopping is you ought to have a better than average knowledge and understanding of gemstones, and jewelry in general. The hosts are ALL high pressure used car salesman who LIKE TO INTIMIDATE, and belittle the prospective customers. Just watch for an hour or so and listen to their carefully crafted sentences on how fantastic the stuff is. Sometimes it's seconds, cracked gemstones with major flaws, returned goods from dissatisfied clients, and the like. The use camera tricks to make the material LOOK AWESOME. Don't be a sucker. The appear to be huge and when you get the ring it's probably gonna be tiny. (Maybe not in all situations) Let me share with y'all my story. I was looking for a specialty piece that is not often found..but in viewing Marvin's show one night I saw one; A diamond necklace with a gold chain. It looks pretty good to me on air, and I had bought a small inexpensive item prior to this so I had a bit of a track record with GSN. This was sold as 18k 2 -tone rose gold and yellow gold with an 18 karat chain. So I took my chances. The shipping was about $30.00. I live in Metro atlanta area and could have easily drove to the studio in Duluth Ga. and picked it up myself. No way. They have to make a big profit on ripping off the customer on freight. Read some reviews and see what I am talking about. Now I finally got my delivery. I had a lot of trouble trying to open the teeny-tiny lobster claw clasp. Being a man and having big hands was no advantage. First off, the weight and gage of the chain was not correct. They sent me a baby fine chain for a fairly heavy pendent. My first sense of something is wrong here.....lol Chain was 14K white gold. I looked at my local Kohl's store as to what the "proper" link and size would run....what is called a marine link in 22" 14K was$ 899.00 on sale and this is what GSN should have used for a piece of masculine jewelry in my opinion. I passed on buying this chain. A few days later I took it to a store I completely trust. I showed it to the owner and asked him how much it's worth......he was spot on. Exactly what I paid for it. less taxes and shipping. As he examined the diamonds and gold content....another shock. The diamonds were low grade, and gold was NOT 18K as stated, but 14K instead. It was stamped 18K but tests showed it was not. Now I am not a happy camper. I call GSN. They listen carefully to my story. Tell me will check it out and call me back. 2 weeks go by....not a peep. I now contact my credit card company and ask them to reverse the purchase (Charge back) which they did within 24 hours. Now I got the attention on GSN. The want to know what I did the charge back No internal communications. My credit card company asks me to write a very detailed letter explaining the situation. . I do so, and keep a copy. After a nice banter with customer service, they ask me to send it back. I have to pay the freight once again.....but this time is more important. BTW it cost me $6.00 at the post office with insurance....REAL TRUE COST. In approx. 2 weeks my credit is issued. I felt very misled and lied to by Marvin and Alan the hosts. I will never buy another piece from them after this hassle. BTW......several days later I happened to be channel surfing...and they were RE-SELLING my returned junk just as I first saw it air. What shysters .....fell sorry for the poor sucker who finds out like I did. Word of caution.....If you decide to deal with these bandits....Be very careful that you are getting what is expected from the seller. You heard it here first. Bluenile.com is a great company to deal with. They will exceed your expectations and more. No sales tax unless you like in Washington State, and free shipping. The bracelet I bought my wife she adores, and wears it all the time. I paid under $150. for it. Would have been $500. on GSN probably. They will do a custom gift card as well if needed. Give 'em a try gang. read more

Do Not Buy from this company! I do my Christmas shopping early and like everyone else give the gift at Christmas. But guess what it is then non returnable! Rip off, I will never ever purchase another item for on them! Overpriced and horrendous return policy! read more

Purchased a Tanzanite back in December when Don Kogen was selling natural no heat Tanzanite rings. The diamonds in the ring was so cloudy under a 10x loop the Tanzanite was very white and did not look like the ring that was shown on your program. The stone was very light. Sent the ring back for a refund. Very disappointing will never buy any products from you again. read more

GEMSHOPPING.COM is the name of the business. They are located in Duluth, Georgia. I'm an amateur rock hound, my interest began at about the age of eleven. I stumbled upon Gemshopping accidentally while I was surfing the net. Initially, I thought this was all good and I began to share with neighbors and friends about the website. As I would log onto the website I noticed they would show very few gents rings. Being into rocks and gems I collect men's rings. About 99% of what is shown on Gemshopping is specific to women. Since Gemshopping is computer interactive I registered and while logged onto their site I would ask to see the occasional gents ring that would be on the display table. The other night I asked to see a ring and the response I got from the salesperson, Cynthia, was perky moving toward rude. Cynthia responded to me saying, "We have a few. Five thousand and up." I asked, "Are you folks going to show them?" Cynthia answered, "No. We show by request only". I thought but didn't say aloud, 'What the heck did I just ask. Someone in this exchange doesn't understand English'. I also thought the main function of this show is to show a heck of a lot of jewelry without anyone ever asking. My response to Cynthia, "That's not true and you know it. You show 99% more women's jewelry than men's. You need to change your poor attitude!" Cynthia's response, "Ready to buy?" My response to her question, "Depends. You don't show, I don't buy. That's a no brainer." The next thing that happened was similar to someone hanging up the phone on you. Without my say so they pulled my registration with them and disconnected my interactive connection. Bottom line is they wanted me to make a purchase without seeing the product and were disrespectful. Don't waste your time or money on this silly business. read more

I would give this company one star if I was able to remove the one star from the line. I purchased for my son a $2000 pair of 18 karat gold flag cufflinks and explained that it was a Christmas present and although I was buying them on Thanksgiving would it be all right to give it to him for Christmas and they said of course. I was so embarrassed because my son was not too happy with the cufflinks to begin with because he already had a pair but After comparing the gold set with his pair he took them to three different jewelers and never got an estimate over $500. Well I had to wait for Christmas to go by and today I called up the company and boo-hoo it's all my fault because I didn't open the package within the first seven days and complain to them in the first seven days.I am only telling other people out there to please please please do not buy from this company and if you do and do fall for their schmaltz please open the package within the first seven days so that you can return it. They are so quick to take your money but believe me they do not want to give it back. Besides losing the money my whole family now thinks I'm a total dingbat from buying from the television company in the first place read more
