simply the worst and must be avoided at all costs I bought earnings on 12.22.25 at the auction price. Today is 1.22.26 and Gem shopping can not quote a shipping date on the earnings. Mind you it wasn't Gem shopping providing this update, it was me calling to see where the item was. The order I placed said the shipment would include the existing certificate. However when I had to call, their claim was they had to send it out for a cert. What a great excuse not to ship an item. Even better they had no idea when it would ship. Anyone can go onto GIA or another service and get an estimated completion date based upon shipment date. GIA also offers reviews within 72 hours if you select rush service. So no excuse for not knowing when the item would be ready In my opinion, the auction price was too low and they simply didnt want to ship the earnings. I bought an outstanding ring (4.42 square emerald and 2 carats of diamond) for $2,200 and paid for sizing. I got a call saying I would not be getting the ring because of "quality control" said there was a hairline fracture in the center stone. I call BS!! They made a mistake having that ring for that price and didn't honor the purchase. I also bought a 2.5 carat multicolored diamond pendant for $1,495 and just before it was being shipped I received a "different" confirmation which reduced the carat weight by 30 points! Over the years I have occasionally purchased jewelry from GSN. The shipping has gone smoothly and the jewelry was as described on TV. However, on March 7th I called and purchased a necklace for $8,000 for a total of $8,640 with tax. When I purchased it I told the sales rep, Keith, I was getting ready to leave the country for 2 weeks. I asked if he could hold the necklace until our return since it had to be signed for, but he said they can only hold items for 10 days. He assured me the item would go out 2-day FedEx and I would have it long before March 14, the last business day there would be somebody here to sign for it. Later that day I got an email Order Confirmation showing it would go out 2-day FedEx. On Tuesday, March 11, I called to check on the status. I was told by Tammy it could not go FedEx because they would not accept items over $7,500. She advised they would send it via a different courier that specializes in high-end items and that I would have it by March 12 or 13. She also advised they would contact me and give me a time frame for delivery so I could ensure someone would be home to sign for it. By Thursday, March 13 I still had not heard from anyone. I called Customer Service and spoke with someone who seemed totally disinterested in my problem. I told her the necklace had to be received by March 14 for someone to sign for it. She advised she would contact her shipping department, but I had the feeling she was going to do nothing to resolve the situation. Unfortunately I was correct. Later that day I received a notification saying the necklace was shipped that day via Fedex 2-day delivery, and I would receive it Monday, after we would have left. If they had just sent it overnight instead of 2-day this could have all been avoided. And why was it shipping FedEx when I had been told they would not accept it? Later that day Latrish reached out to me and apologized for the mistakes. I told her to get the necklace back and credit my card. She said her shipping department would get FedEx to send the necklace back, but they could not credit my card until they had the necklace back. This made no sense to me, I had no control over when or how this necklace would get back to them. The next week when I was out of the country I pulled up the FedEx tracking and I saw no remarks about sending the package back to GSN. In fact, they tried to deliver it March 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21. After 5 attempts they sent it back to GSN. After being assured I would be credited immediately once it was received at GSN, I had to call 2 days after it was received by them to get the refund process started. Not only did they waste a lot of my time with my multiple attempts to get this rectified, I was very disappointed and did not get a necklace I truly wanted, and they tied up $8,640 for 20 days on my credit card for an item I never even saw. I'm surprised Effy isn't concerned they lost the sale on an expensive necklace due to GSN's incompetence. I suggest if you want to purchase jewelry to do it from a seller that appreciates your business and follows through on its promises. read more

I don't know what I was thinking....this/these are the 2nd and 3rd pieces I've bought fm GSN. The 1st was a really pretty butterfly, pink diamond necklace. When I rec'd it, the diamonds didn't look pink, but had a pink background they were on top of....maybe they were a faint pink...oh well, it was really too pretty and dainty to return, so I didn't. The 2nd and 3rd items, another butterfly (I didn't and 4got to ask the measurements....but it worked out ok.), and a yellow diamond (4 ish carats of station diamonds) and about .50 of white diamonds...over $6200 for the bracelet. Rec'd it, and was highly disappointed.....the report said "light yellow" in the diamonds, and " H" quality in the white diamonds, I don't know how many stones there were---but btwn the 2 , the bracelet was 7 inches, and 18 carat gold....I called the next day, not knowing that I needed an RMA #, but asked how to return the piece....FEDEX was $130 to send back bc I declared a value....I was paranoid (ridiculously so) for 2 or 3 days bc I had horrible thoughts of them saying the bracelet wasn't in the box...I wrote the RMA# loud and clear all over the smaller FEDEX box, inside the big FEDEX box. Then it was shipped, got an email fm GSN confirming everything....Within 3 days, they had issued a credit back to my card....whew. I had read only AFTERWARDS how many people had had problems. Every time I called them (and it was at least 4 or 5x), I had no problems and they were very nice...I had looked at similar bracelets locally, but just didn't make the connections that the stones would be smaller. Initially, they wanted $6900, came down to $6500, then I came up to $6250....it's not really their fault, but for that kind of $$$$$, it better look like a $6200 bracelet! I giving it a 2 stars because shipping was fast. Otherwise the Effy butterfly ring I purchased is not even stamped Effy. It is small and looks cheap. It was an impulse buy. Doing research, I found lots of Butterfly rings on Effy's website cheaper and better looking. The ring is pathetic. The tinee weeny junk diamonds are rough and snags everything, the butterfly is not smooth. I have purchased several 14k, 18k and platinum pieces of fine jewelry from Gem Shopping Network. Several times I've needed to return items for various reasons. *IMPORTANT* Within 5 DAYS of receiving delivery, you MUST call their customer service and ask for an RMA Number (Return Merchandise Authorization). Simply call em and ask for an RMA, which they'll provide. Write it down and save it. When they asked me reason for returning it, I have also said I'm not sure if I AM returning it or NOT, but I want the RMA so that I will still have it in case I decide to return it. If you do not have an RMA, you may have difficuly. If you get an RMA and decide to keep it, no harm-no foul. But if you DON'T get RMA in those first 5 days and THEN decide to return it, you will have problems. If you decide to return an item, write RMA on the invoice AND on the bottom left portion of the package. DO NOT REMOVE TAG on item UNTIL you're 100% SURE you're NOT returning it. Onvce the tag comes off, it's yours I have kept about 60% of my purchases. Returns are expensive because I insure them, of course. The jewelry I have kept is very nice. Some of which are estate pieces that I'd be hard pressed to buy otherwise. Refunds take LONGER w/ GSN than anywhere I've known, frankly. For me, $1,000 - $2,000+ for a purchase is BIG. Eventually, you get credited. The jewelry is not junk, though. My Dad was a jeweler and he had a store. The vendors on Gem Shopping have quality merchandise, for the most part. They do not sell gold plated or faux diamonds or lab created stones. Only 1 vendor has rubies/sapphires "of the period" which were imitation stones due to The Depression era and WWII when mining was difficult. That is less than 1/10th of 1%, I'd say. The woman, Natalie, from "Hewelry Theater" is only on air once every month or so. *AUCTIONS* When a host, like MARVIN runs an auction that has not been BID up $$ high enough, and the clock expires, Marvin doesn't do the RIGHT, FAIR thing and say, "Going Once.. Going Twice.... Going Third and Final Time.. SOLD". No....Marvin will turn to molasses and stop after Twice. He'll wait for a phone to ring. He won't close the auction. I get enraged. He does that. Kurt and Tara have done that. It isn't ethical nor fair to the bidders who Should Have won and I see it all the time. Only Stu, the overnight host, is pleasant, fair, doesn't yell and never becomes hysterical. If you are careful and mindful, you can find wonderful jewelry seldom, if ever seen elsewhere. I am feeling bad receiving this supposedly esteemed Akoya blue pearl but how can one pearl already chipped? The body of the exposed pearl is black. This looks fake:( I own a lot of different pearl... Tahitian black, White Akoya, Keishi, Mabe, South Sea, Cultured fresh water , but I have never seen a "chipped" pearl. I feel stupid now buying this Akoya that I paid over $1,000. This was my first and LAST purchase from Gem Shopping Network. I took my two pieces that I purchased to my jeweler. Both pieces were garbage. One of them, the small diamonds? only had ONE prong holding them on so if the ring was worn, they would have fallen off. The ring was hollow, so if you tried to size it or work on it, it would have collapsed. The stones were cut so "poorly" according to my well renowned jeweler that the "prongs had to be stretched to fit and were very fragile" and would break. Be warned items are much smaller than they appear on the magnifier they use for close ups. You will be disappointed by the size, and if you don't know 1 carat from a 1/2 carat you will be sadly disappointed. I am still waiting for a refund since the 19th despite email from them saying they have the return, which cost me $36 to insure and send back. You will also not be refunded your shipping to your home so out of cost twice. They also tried to charge me to size the ring, and extra $40 I pointed out it came in my size and they had to accept that fact. I've called repeatedly. I still don't have my refund. Supervisor was supposed to call me back and of course did not. Receipt says 7 to 10 days, all they could say is, no its 10-15 business days, the pic is below tells it all, its 7-10 days PERIOD, nothing about business days, they lie. It's been over 13 days now. I am quite angry, they have their merchandise and my money locked up! If I pay the amount off so I can find other merchandise, then they finally credit it I will wind up with a $0 balance and yet another mathematical nightmare is created with my card company. Worst bait and switch vendor ever (QUEEN JEWELS) and dishonest host (KURT). I ordered a .65 ct. yellow diamond ring with .65 ct. diamond accents off a $995.00 table. I received a confirmation email of the order details. The order was processed but was taking a while to ship so I kept checking the order in my account. Good thing I did! The ring magically changed from that described above to a .39 ct. yellow diamond ring with .39. diamond accents. I called customer service and they emailed me a picture of the ring which was totally NOT what I ordered off TV so they cancelled the order before it was shipped. I had them put rings on hold but could not pull the trigger due to my work furloughs. I finally pulled the trigger tonight, almost $1600. I placed the order and then a couple hours later I panicked and canceled. Kenton was extremely rude because I canceled and said my account would be under review. I have watched this show for many years. Tonight they were showing pieces from a "Pebble Beach Estate". During this show, it was stated that the synthetic sapphires in some pieces were "sapphires of the period". Not the way to honestly sell items. Although they do show some beautiful pieces of jewelry, the buyer should ask them to show the piece from a distance. The jewels are much smaller than you think. I can't believe how much these people lie especially Marvin. He plays games like saying how much per carat a stone sells for but leaves out the size of the stone that sells for that much. I buy stones from gemrockauctions.com so I know how much they really cost and the auction prices are much lower than what he says they are. You would think someone would feel bad for lieing as much as he does. They charge $1,200 for a 1/2 ct of small diamonds in a pendant that you can buy from Etsy for at the most $600. I have been selling gemstones for decades. I watched GSN for years and always thought it strange that they can sell certain pieces at super-low prices. I finally bought a yellow diamond ring that my wife fell in love with. It was supposed to be a wonderful Christmas present. It appeared to be a vivid yellow color and the white diamonds had incredible sparkle. When I received it, I was shocked. The yellow diamond was so faint in color and the white diamonds exhibited no sparkle. I am not stating for sure, but I know that some dealers I used to deal with buying gemstones would use certain filters to enhance the look and color saturation when they took videos and pictures, and after catching them, I never bought from them again. I can't explain the extraordinary difference between what I saw on the TV versus what I received, but I have an idea. My trust has been irreversibly damaged and not only will I never buy another item from them, I don't watch their shows anymore. read more

I am not angry, just wanting to share some of my impressions and experiences. Over the years, I have made a number of purchases from various venders on this site. Some of the pieces were absolutely gorgeous... I loved them and I kept them. I felt guilty when I did my first return, and I have a feeling many buyers feel the same way and buck up and keep the purchase. I no longer feel guilty about a return. I make very few purchases through them any more and returned 3 out of my last 4 purchases. The pieces were overpriced and the color vastly different than when presented in the studio. I oftentimes allow myself to get sucked into the sales pitch and forget that all is not as it appears.. which is a mistake I make. Some things to be aware of: hosts constantly yelling is meant to hype up the buyers so they will purchase product... especially when they continuously announce "this is the last time you will ever see this". "There were only 200 pieces and it will soon be gone forever and someday worth $10K per carat". I've seen red apatite 5 or 6 times for the LAST time. Be acutely aware that the studio lighting is bright and directed with the express purpose of enhancing the gemstone. Some hosts will intentionally shine an additional bright light on a stone to show you how dispersive, etc that it is. This is unethical and pure "salesmanship". When the piece arrives at your home, the intensity and color of the stone is nowhere near the studio appearance. AND, the stone will appear much lighter in color when you get it. Mark the Opal Hunter is the only person I can recall announcing that stones appear darker on TV that they will at home. Bottom line???? They have some very fine jewelry. And while they talk about losing money on the sale.... really???? As a customer, you most likely are overpaying for everything...BUT... they do present jewelry you can't find in retail stores. Just make sure it's worth it to you. The sales staff and customer service have always been easy to work with. I would not hesitate to purchase from them in the future with the understanding that it is something I cannot find at a better price elsewhere. That really narrows it down. When I called and talked to customer service agent Isac she was very nice and understood everything I said with no problems. My husband found them shopping while channel surfing last year. He brought a piece to my attention that he wanted to buy for me. I am a graduate geologist , receiving my GG degree from GIA in NYC in the early 90's. I worked for over 15 years as a jewelry appraiser and diamond buyer for a very high end distributor and did appraisals for banks with regard to estate settlements. I believe my experience and education has merit when it comes to gemstones and jewelry. That said, I am very impressed with the quality of the merchandise and the value as stated by GSN sales reps. I have purchased a lot of jewelry from GSN because even I , with my connections to the industry, cannot buy the same at comparable pricing. I have returned a few items upon inspection, usually for no other reason than a change of mind. I have never experienced a problem with returns or in getting my money back. The salespeople at courteous,truthful, and knowledgeable about the product.Those in customer service are courteous and more than willing to help you with questions, refunds and returns. I have been so pleased that I have recommended GSN to the most important people in my life, my adult children. read more

I am a GIA Diamonds Graduate and was disappointed with the "G" color - which was the claim made by salesman Hunter - Hans D Krieger ring I purchased. Yes, it was VS CLARITY, and the ring was made well. However, I graded the color as a J with fluorescence. There is some very beautiful jewelry at very good prices, especially from certain vendors. However, the ring was purchased from Avi - the vendor who always had my fullest confidence and trust. He could regain that trust by replacing the diamond with an excellent 0.34 CT VS STONE OF TRUE G COLOR. read more

Same item number. Same carat weight etc. I've read items are easily returnable if you follow their instruction. I see a lot of negative comments about this.
