Experience: I had my first skin treatment with Sarah, the lead therapist, this week and it was amazing! My treatment included a Mandelic Acid Peel, a Pumpkin Enzyme Peel which smelled heavenly, Diamond Microdermabrasion, Extractions (I didn't even know I needed them, but she got in there), and an IG-worthy Hydrojelly mask that left my skin smooth, supple, and hydrated. Sarah, also gave me a relaxing scalp, neck, and arm massage with coconut oil, yum! While relatively new to the industry (1 year), Sarah is very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my ingredient and modality questions and knew how to mix ingredients and customize a mask for my specific skin concerns. Her touch is also very relaxing. I am definitely seeing her again. COVID: Masks are required in the lobby, you will be asked to sanitize your hands upon entering, and your temp will be taken. Once in the treatment room, you may remove your mask and your Skin Therapist will be wearing a surgical mask as well as a face shield throughout your treatment. They also sanitize the door handle upon your exit. Scheduling: Because they have been closed for a long time, they have a pent up demand of clients wanting to come in, and they have been working 10 hour days, non-stop, so you may not be able to get your preferred date/time and may have to call a couple times to get someone on the phone (I got someone on the line on my second try), so be patient, it's worth it. read more

I've seen Sarah a hand full of times now and I absolutely love seeing her. She is professional, sweet, clean, safe and gentle. After my first visit Sarah and I discussed different products for a facial regime, since I had no regime at all. I really wish I had taken a before and after photo. I'm an esthetician myself but took the waxing route versus facials. Finally, a legitimate facial. I have had skin issues from a hormone imbalance since I was a teen. I have done the works, dermatologist, laser facials from skin laundry, microdermabrasion from massage envy, on top of spending 40+ dollars a month on skin care. Then she asked me about my skin issues, looked at my skin and started the facial. Everything was going well and she even changed up the facial a bit to deal with my very dry sensitive skin. She did an amazing job at extractions and actually did all of them. She recommended me products that they sold and also some that they didnt sell which shows that she is actually trying to help me out in my opinion. Then I did the little light therapy and the end and went on my way. My skin hasnt felt this good ever. I already booked my next one I am so excited. I bought a Groupon for an acne facial here at the Spa at Los Cab. Went into the club, told them that I had an appointment for the spa and they told me simple directions on how to get there. When I found the place and went inside they greeted me and offered me a seat. I called ahead to get an appointment in the morning a couple of days prior. Seema is the one who performed the facial on me. She was great and professional. She was very easy going, I felt very comfortable and she did an absolutely amazing job. Living Social strikes again! I went to Gem Day Spa for a Deep Pore cleansing with Pumpkin Peel facial last week. The "Spa" is a tiny office with two gaudy, window air conditioned rooms. I get facials regularly (once a month) and decided that this month, I would use my Living Social coupon. The facial was ok. I have definitely had better. Here are the reasons: 1. Very little massage on the face. Everything was sort of "applied" rather than gently massaged into the skin. 2. Upselling...I am trying to relax, please stop trying to sell me things. 3. Last and MOST IMPORTANT (please remember that I do this regularly and my skin is in great condition). The extractions were so painful!!! The pain was worse than if I were to pick at them myself. The skin around my pores was picked off and I NOW HAVE SCARS ON MY CHIN FROM THE EXTRACTIONS. Although I know they will eventually fade, the purpose in going to a professional is to avoid scars, right? I will not be going here again. I guess this is the price I have to pay when trying to save a few bucks. Its just not worth it when it comes to our faces. read more

First off, DIRECTIONS TO THE SALON because it is REALLY hard to find. The cross-streets for Los Caballeros are Newhope and Slater, and the big archways to enter the complex/parking area are just past the small Public Storage facility. Drive through the arches and go straight down until you see the big open area for parking on your left (not the smaller areas between the smaller buildings). The big building at left is the Los Caballeros Racquet and Sports Club. Go inside and the person at the front desk should tell you to walk all along the black gate/fence surrounding the pool area and when the gate/fence ends the salon will be in the left wing of the buildings to your right. Now to my actual review: I bought an Amazon Local deal for a deep conditioning, hair cut, and style. Shirley answered my call immediately, scheduled me, and was very courteous when I had to reschedule. The head massage with the shampoo/conditioner was great and unlike at most salons where I have gone, not even a drop of water got on my shirt (I've gotten the collar/back wet several times)! She was open and friendly and, but not a Chatty Cathy who talks over you. She didn't try to push a bunch of products on me, either. Shirley listened to my needs and she most certainly delivered! She showed me a really simple way to style it myself (I'm typically a wash-and-wear kind of girl) and my hair looks fantastic. Pretty much everyone noticed at my work! The therapist (Cynthia) gets 5 stars. The stress in trying to find the place was ridiculous. It is in a huge shopping center, all the way in the back INSIDE a tennis club. It isn't technically on Newhope, the street should have its own name. The long walk through a tennis club was unexpected. The massage was wonderful, Cynthia is great, but... it was nearly impossible to relax when the room above sounded like someone was running and bouncing throughout my entire massage. This review is for the actual massage experience! I am not a fan of docking stars off just because the business couldn't afford prime real estate right off a major street! I signed up for a 1 hr massage from the livingsocial.com deal. First off, the place is a little hard to find but from reading other reviews, I was prepared for this and planned to arrive a few minutes early. The place if located in a big plaza, and the gps will only take you to the plaza itself. The place if actually located in a country club called "Los Cab". You have to go around the pool to get to it so just ask the person working at the desk in front of the pool doors to point you in the right direction. The massage itself was pretty nice. The deal only supposedly only includes about light to medium pressure so if you are looking for a real deep tissue massage you might have to upgrade. It depends on which Masseuse you get and how deep they are willing to go for free before they ask you to upgrade. I got Cecilia, the pressure wasn't enough so i elected to upgrade for $20. My gf was with Tina, who she says went plenty deep and didn't need an upgrade. (Mind you our definitions of "deep" probably differ) When Cecilia asked me if I wanted to upgrade she was not pushy at all. Throughout the massage she made a point of always asking how I was doing and if the pressure was okay or not. Overall it was a very nice massage experience. I would definitely recommend if the deal is on again, not sure if I would pay full price. read more

I had a facial with Sherri the other day and I loved it! The facial itself super through and very relaxing. Sherri also did a foot massage which almost put me to sleep. I have booked another facial and I think I'm going to ask Sherri for an extra half hour foot massage the next time I go in. The spa itself is super tiny but nice. It's located in the back of the Los Cab tennis club. You need to walk past the pool and then take a right. I walked into the hair salon and was totally ignored by two stylists talking to an elderly lady. I stood there waiting for them to acknowledge me but I was ignored like I was invisible, and I KNOW that they knew I standing there.
