We came for a late Sunday lunch with friends and our kids. Reservations were made, so we were seated promptly upon arrival.
For starters, our table ordered bread & butter with olives (which I shared), plus spam fritters, pâté, and halloumi fries. The bread was fine but literally just sliced baguette-style bread, butter, and a small pot of Kalamata olives. At £8, it felt more like something that should be complimentary. I didn't try the other starters, but everyone else seemed to enjoy them.
My main was the fish fillet burger with fries, which was satisfying - even the accompanying coleslaw was very fresh and tasty. The rest of the group seemed happy with their mains as well.
We also ordered a few cocktails (cosmopolitan, espresso martini, and apple pie martini) all well-made and definitely on the stiff side!
Overall, it was a great dining experience with good food, attentive service, and a pleasant atmosphere. I'd happily return and try their Sunday roast next time. read more
