The business is located on one of the small narrow streets on the edge of the Gothic quarter. It's definitely a place you will need to be purposely searching for as this business does not jump out at you until you are right on top of it. As it is a narrow business with limited seating, it will be hit or miss if you get an inside table as most of the sales that were happening while I was there was takeout. Just something to keep in mind if you're looking for sit down dining. Overall, I rarely have had ice cream this good and if you are a fan of well-made ice cream then this is a business you should definitely check out if you are in the Gothic quarter.

It's a little different than horchatas you typically get in the US - it's less sweet, a little nuttier.. like someone said in a previous review, it reminded me a lot of Chinese soy drinks. We also had ice cream here - soo delicious! One of the staff told us that the 2 most popular flavors were the almond flavor and the llet merengada flavor. The latter is some kind of milk-based ice cream (it translates to "milk meringue"). They put cinnamon on it. I don't know what exactly is in the ice cream but it was so. amazing. Staff was great - patient and willing to explain the flavors to non-locals. It's a little chaotic there especially in the evening, but they've got a really organized system (you take one of those number tabs like at the DMV, and they call out your number when it's your turn). It was so good we had to come back again another day. Good thing we don't live in Barcelona or we'd be here all the time!

The lemon and ginger was refreshing and again, very bold. Both scoops were very sweet, sour and a bit tart as one would expect. Parallelo is a good option to try for a scoop of gelato in Barcelona. The gelato was good but the flavor was not remarkable, perhaps due to the vegan options. I would definitely return but avoid the vegan option.
